Chapter 187: The Troubled Sisters

Mai and Mei embarked on their day with a buzz of excitement as they noticed a long line forming outside their restaurant, eager customers waiting for the taste of their new special soba, courtesy of Yun Che's recipe. Dressed in their best attire, they opened the doors to their establishment, greeted by the sight of a bustling crowd, a rare occurrence for them.

As Mai surveyed the eager faces in the line, her mind wandered to the ongoing Blue Wind Ranking Tournament, where Yun Che, Retsu, and Cang Yue were all competing. She wondered about their progress and couldn't help but think of Yuanba, a boy two years her junior but with a strangely captivating presence. She admired Yun Che but there was something attractive about that Yuanba. Blushing at her own thoughts, she shook her head, determined to focus on the task at hand.

"Big sis, are you okay? Do you have a fever?" Mei's concerned voice snapped Mai out of her reverie, and she quickly composed herself with a smile.

"Oh, it's nothing. Shall we start?" Mai replied, eager to dive into the busy day ahead.

With Mei's assistance in preparing tea for the customers, Mai got to work cooking the Special Udon, drawing upon the guidance Retsu had given her the night before. With Yun Che's recipe firmly embedded in her mind, she felt more confident than ever in her culinary skills. As the aroma of cooking filled the air, Mai's heart swelled with pride, knowing that today would be a day to remember for their small restaurant.

As Mai tirelessly prepared bowl after bowl of the special udon, she found herself in a state of exhilaration. With each perfectly crafted dish, her confidence soared higher. Mei's nimble hands assisted in cutting spices and condiments, ensuring that the preparation process was seamless. In just a matter of minutes, they had churned out ten bowls, much to the delight of the eager customers.

The praise that poured in from the customers only fueled Mai's determination. They marveled at the deliciousness of her cooking, unaware of the single recipe that had transformed her modest restaurant into a bustling hub of activity. With each satisfied customer, Mai felt a sense of accomplishment wash over her. The profound coins accumulated from the booming sales sparked visions of future renovations and improvements for their establishment.

Surveying the long line of patrons waiting outside, Mai realized the magnitude of the opportunity before her. This surge in customers was unprecedented, and she resolved to seize the moment to expand her restaurant's reach. Tomorrow promised to be just as busy, if not more so, and Mai was determined to make the most of it.

In that moment of reflection, Mai's thoughts turned to Yun Che, the catalyst behind her newfound success. Gratitude swelled within her heart as she acknowledged his role in teaching her the recipe and providing her with the means to thrive. Yun Che's culinary knowledge had opened doors she never thought possible, and she eagerly anticipated the prospect of learning more from him in the future.

As night descended, Mai's restaurant continued to bustle with activity, the savory aroma of her dishes wafting through the air. Little did she know, a group of ominous figures had been watching from afar, their intentions shrouded in darkness.

Suddenly, the tranquil atmosphere shattered as twenty burly men descended upon the restaurant like a storm. Panic rippled through the crowded space as customers scattered, recognizing the looming threat of the Black Lotus Clan.

Mai's heart pounded with fear as the men surrounded her, their menacing presence blocking any chance of escape. Beside her, Mei trembled in terror, her eyes wide with fear.

With a surge of adrenaline, Mai's instincts kicked in. "Mei, run!" she shouted, urging her sister to flee to safety. But as the realization of their dire situation sank in, Mai braced herself for whatever confrontation lay ahead.

"Oh, where do you think you're going, little brat?" One of the men snarled as he grabbed Mei's hand, his grip tight and cruel. Mei's cries of pain pierced the air, sending a jolt of fear through Mai's heart.

"Big sis! Help me!" Mei's desperate plea rang out, filled with anguish and agony.

"Mei!" Mai's heart clenched with terror as she rushed forward, her voice trembling with desperation. "Let my sister go!"

*Slap!

The leader's hand cracked across Mai's cheek with a vicious force, sending her staggering backwards. Pain flared through her cheek as tears welled in her eyes, her spirit shattered by the sheer brutality of the blow. She felt weak and helpless, her inability to protect her sister gnawing at her soul like a relentless torment.

"Tie them up and wait outside." The leader's cold command echoed in Mai's ears as she and Mei were bound tightly, their freedom stripped away with cruel efficiency. Mai's heart sank as she watched helplessly, her eyes drawn to the chest near the kitchen. She knew what lay inside—the hard-earned coins she had painstakingly collected to rebuild their home, to provide a better life for Mei.

"Oh, you made a lot of coins alone." The leader's mocking tone grated on Mai's nerves as he rifled through their meager savings, callously disregarding the value they held for the sisters.

"Don't touch our fortune!" Mai's voice trembled with a mixture of fear and defiance as she pleaded with the men, her heart breaking at the thought of losing everything they had worked so hard for.

The leader brushed her aside with contempt, his words dripping with malice. "Bitch, these coins belonged to the Black Lotus Clan. Haven't you forgotten you offended us last night?"

Mai's heart sank as the reality of their situation settled over her like a suffocating shroud. They were at the mercy of the Black Lotus Clan, their hopes and dreams shattered in an instant by the cruel hand of fate.

"Destroy this place!" The leader barked, his voice cutting through the chaos like a blade. Mai's heart pounded with terror as she watched her parents' beloved restaurant being torn apart before her eyes. The men, driven by cruelty and malice, wreaked havoc without remorse. Mai's udon cooking was tossed aside, utensils shattered, and furniture splintered into pieces. With each destructive blow, her hopes crumbled like the shattered remnants of her home.

"No!!!!" Mai's scream pierced the air, but it was drowned out by the cacophony of destruction. She fought against the overwhelming tide, desperately trying to stop the carnage, only to be forcibly pushed down, her efforts in vain. Tears streamed down her face as she was forced to witness the devastation of everything she held dear, her hard-earned earnings snatched away in an instant.

"Big sister… our home!" Mei's voice trembled with anguish as she clung to Mai, her tears mingling with her sister's. Their sanctuary, once a place of warmth and joy, lay in ruins before them, a stark testament to the merciless cruelty of the Black Lotus Clan.

"Be quiet, little girl. Just watch!" One of the men's harsh words cut through the air, silencing Mei's cries of despair. Mai's heart twisted with helplessness as she watched her sister's suffering, unable to offer her comfort or protection.

"Please… it belongs to my parents. Please stop!" Mai's voice cracked with desperation, her pleas falling on deaf ears as the men continued their rampage. She begged for mercy, for someone—anyone—to intervene, but the onlookers remained frozen in fear, powerless against the might of the Black Lotus Clan.

"The Black Lotus Clan doesn't care whether it's your wealth or not. You offended us. Consider this your punishment. Take them to the clan." The leader's cold decree echoed in Mai's ears, sending a shiver down her spine. With heavy hearts, Mai and Mei were lifted and carried away, their future uncertain as they were taken to the lair of their oppressors. Tears of helplessness flowed freely as Mai realized that this might indeed be their last day on this star, all for daring to dream of a better life.

Amidst the chaos and fear, Mai's thoughts raced with desperation. The menacing presence of the Black Lotus Clan loomed over them, their leader's voice slicing through the air with chilling authority.

"And the rest of you! If you offend us, you will suffer fate the same as the sisters!" The boss yelled at the surrounding people and warned them never to cross the Black Lotus Clan to avoid similar fate befall them. The surrounding people began to back away slowly out of fear as the men drew their weapons.

The atmosphere grew tense as the boss of the Black Lotus Clan issued his menacing threats, sending shivers down the spines of the surrounding onlookers. Fear gripped their hearts as they slowly backed away, unwilling to provoke the wrath of the ruthless clan.

Mai's breath caught in her throat as the boss's chilling words filled the air. Her pulse quickened with terror as she realized the danger that loomed before her. Beside her, Mei's trembling form mirrored her own fear, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Big sister, I am scared," Mei whimpered, tears streaming down her face.

But amidst the darkness, Mai summoned her courage, determined to shield her sister from harm. "We'll be okay, Mei. Trust me," she whispered, her voice trembling with resolve. Yet, deep down, uncertainty gnawed at her, knowing their fate rested in the hands of merciless men.

"Boss, can we enjoy the older sister before bringing her back?" One of the men smirked before looking at Mai with a lustful expression, causing Mai to instantly fear for her chastity and purity. The rest of the men smirked as they awaited the order to assault her.

"The clan leader asked to bring them intact. After that, we can enjoy her." Their leader spoke as the clan leader was specific nothing happened to the sisters knowing the temperament of his men. However, he wished to pass down the judgment and probably sully the older sister himself since he had a taste for younger women.

As the men closed in, their lecherous intentions laid bare, Mai's heart pounded with dread. Yet, in the midst of despair, a glimmer of hope flickered within her. She clung to the belief that Yun Che would come to their rescue, his promise echoing in her mind like a beacon of light in the darkness.

With each step into the unknown, Mai offered up a silent prayer, her plea echoing into the night. "Yun Che... Yuanba... Anyone... Please, save us." She could only hope that her words reached him, for without his intervention, their fate seemed bleak against the sinister forces that now held them captive.

-------------------------------------------

As Yun Che and the others touched down in the Imperial City once more, the air seemed charged with anticipation. Having clinched victory in the day's first round, they were entitled to a well-deserved day off tomorrow. This called for celebration, not only for their triumph but also for Nemu's impressive display in defeating Mu Tianbei's sons, effectively eliminating them from the upcoming battles.

All eyes were on them as they entered the city square, their fame preceding them like a herald. Whispers followed their every step, and the crowd pressed in around them, eager for a glimpse of the legendary figures who had defied the odds and emerged unscathed from battles against the top disciples of the four sects. The atmosphere crackled with excitement, but amidst the throng, Yun Che maintained his calm demeanor, leading his party through the sea of admirers.

Meanwhile, Yuanba seemed to be grappling with a mixture of emotions. Despite the surrounding clamor, Yun Che couldn't help but notice his friend's nervous energy as he appeared to be rehearsing what he would say to Mai later. It was a curious juxtaposition, Yuanba's mind seemingly preoccupied with matters of the heart rather than their newfound fame and victories.

As they walked towards Mai and Mei's restaurant, the anticipation in the air was palpable. Mio, her curiosity piqued by Yun Che's earlier mention of new ingredients, couldn't contain her hunger-driven inquiry. "Ne, Danna-sama? You mentioned something about introducing us to new ingredients for cooking. What kind of ingredients are they?"

Yun Che's grin widened as he spoke, hinting at the tantalizing secret he held. "These are ingredients that can transform any dish, making it delicious with minimal effort. They're not just about quality; there's something fundamentally different about them compared to regular ingredients I've discovered in this world."

Retsu, unable to resist her curiosity, tried to coax Yun Che into divulging more details. "Come on, Yuu-kun. You can tell me. What kind of ingredient is it?"

"It's a secret, Retsu. You'll have to wait until we get to Mai and Mei's restaurant to find out," Yun Che replied with a mischievous grin, keeping the mystery alive. The journey to discover these ingredients had been arduous, and he relished in the anticipation of revealing their transformative power.

Retsu sighed playfully, admitting her eagerness to learn more. "You're such a tease, but an ingredient that can enhance any dish is something I'm dying to know about."

However, as they approached the restaurant, they were met with a somber sight. A large crowd had gathered, murmuring amongst themselves, and Yun Che's expression turned grim. "It's a shame they were attacked on their second day," one of the bystanders lamented, casting a shadow over the group's excitement.

"Attacked?" Yun Che's voice cut through the murmurs of the crowd, drawing their attention. Among them were familiar faces, patrons who had dined at Mai and Mei's restaurant the day before.

"Yes, you're the ones who helped them yesterday... The Black Lotus Clan just came and took the sisters away," one of the bystanders explained, prompting Yun Che to push through the crowd. As he reached the restaurant, his heart sank at the sight before him.

"Mai!" Yuanba's shout echoed, but there was no response. The restaurant lay in ruins, a stark contrast to its former lively atmosphere. Retsu, Mio, Nemu, and Cang Yue could only stare in shock as they surveyed the destruction. Ingredients lay scattered and destroyed, while furniture lay broken beyond repair.

The group stood in stunned silence, grappling with the sudden turn of events. It was clear that the peace they had hoped for had been shattered, replaced by uncertainty and concern for the fate of Mai and Mei.

"Brother-in-law! You can find her, right? Please find her. Please…" Yuanba pleaded, desperation clear in his voice as he implored Yun Che to locate Mai and her sister.

"Yuu-kun, what should we do?" Retsu asked, her tone betraying her readiness to take swift and decisive action if needed. The thought of harm coming to Mai and Mei spurred her resolve to protect them at any cost. However, despite all that's happening, Retsu and the others await his command before going off on their own. To them, listening to Yun Che takes top priority.

Yun Che took a moment to calm everyone before deciding to take matters into their own hands. They couldn't afford to wait idly while Mai and Mei were in danger. If the Black Lotus Clan had indeed targeted them, they needed to act swiftly to ensure their safety and the clan's destruction.

"You, Mio, Nemu, and Little Yue, tidy things up here. We'll go and find Mai and Mei," Yun Che instructed with a tone that brooked no argument. He knew he could trust his companions to handle the cleanup while they pursued the trail of the missing sisters. Though his girls were eager to join him, he understood their methods could be a bit unorthodox, especially Mio and Retsu.

"Please, Yuu-kun, find them swiftly. If you're not back after a while, allow us to assist you," Retsu spoke, her voice laced with silent determination. She was ready to scour the entire city if necessary.

"Don't worry, we've got this," Yun Che reassured them all, his eyes reflecting the unwavering resolve that burned within him.

"Danna-sama, if you need me to string them up..." Mio suggested, her words trailing off as she visibly restrained her eagerness to transform into her massive spider form just to save her new friends.

"There's no need for that. I have a promise to fulfill. Stay here and clean up the mess at the restaurant with Retsu, Nemu, and Little Yue," Yun Che said gently, his hand affectionately patting Mio's head.

"Shall I inform the authorities?" Cang Yue suggested, her gaze sharp with concern. As the daughter of the emperor, she held significant influence, and involving the authorities could expedite matters.

"Perhaps. But tell them to wait until they receive the signal," Yun Che decided, his mind already calculating the best course of action.

His flock nodded in understanding, their unwavering loyalty evident in their eyes as they accepted their roles in this dangerous game. Even though they longed to join Yun Che on his quest, they trusted his judgment implicitly. If he asked them to stay, they would do so without question, knowing that their beloved leader would stop at nothing to save Mai and Mei.

Activating his Eagle Scent ability, Yun Che focused on tracking Mai and Mei's scent, filtering out any distractions as he honed in on their location. With the scent path clear, he called upon Kon and Yuanba, who both eagerly joined him in the rescue mission.

Especially Yuanba who seems much more eager to find Mai.

"Their scent has opened a way. Kon! Yuanba! Let's go," Yun Che declared, his determination driving him forward as they set off toward the Black Lotus Clan's location.

"Bring them back, Yun Che!" Cang Yue urged, her voice filled with concern as she watched them depart. While the girls remained behind to clean up, their thoughts were on Yun Che, Yuanba, and Kon as they charged into the unknown to rescue Mai and Mei.

Yun Che's promise echoed in his mind as they raced toward the Black Lotus Clan's hideout. His words had been fueled by a mixture of determination and righteous anger, a vow to protect Mai and Mei at any cost. Now, faced with the reality of their abduction, he knew he had to make good on his word to those brothers yesterday.

As they traversed the rooftops, Yuanba's mind raced with thoughts of Mai and Mei, his resolve solidifying with each step. Despite his usual indifference toward women, Mai had managed to stir something within him. Unlike the countless other beauties he had encountered, Mai had somehow sparked a different kind of reaction in him.

For Yuanba, who had always viewed women as mere acquaintances, Mai was different. She had a warmth about her, a kindness that reached beyond the surface. Perhaps it was her gentle smile or the way she always seemed to put others before herself. Whatever it was, it had captured his attention in a way he couldn't explain.

As they approached the Black Lotus Clan's hideout, Yuanba's determination burned brighter than ever. He knew that Mai and Mei were counting on them, and he refused to let them down. With each rooftop they crossed, he pushed himself forward, fueled by the desire to ensure their safety no matter the cost.

The time for negotiation had passed. Now, it was time for action. And Yuanba was prepared to unleash the full force of his wrath upon those who dared to threaten the ones he cared about.

-----------------------------

Mai's heart raced with fear as she and Mei were bound and dragged through the dimly lit halls of the Black Lotus Clan's stronghold. The events of the night had unfolded like a nightmare, leaving both sisters bewildered and terrified. Why had those men targeted their humble restaurant? Why were they now being taken captive by this menacing group?

With each step, Mai stole glances at her sister, Mei, whose tear-stained face mirrored her own fear and confusion. The sight of Mei's distress only fueled Mai's determination to stay strong, but inside, she felt her own resolve faltering. They were alone, at the mercy of these ruthless men, and the uncertainty of what lay ahead gnawed at her like a relentless beast.

As they were led further into the heart of the clan's domain, Mai's thoughts raced, her prayers for salvation echoing silently in her mind. She clung to the hope that someone, anyone, would come to their aid, but in the oppressive darkness of the clan's halls, that hope seemed fragile and fleeting. All she could do was hold onto Mei and steel herself for whatever fate awaited them.

Deep within the heart of a district lies the lair of the Black Lotus Clan, shrouded in an eerie mist that cloaks its nefarious activities. Hidden from the prying eyes of justice, this stronghold serves as the headquarters for a ruthless gang of thugs who thrive on exploiting the vulnerabilities of the innocent for their own riches and power.

The lair itself is a labyrinthine network of dimly lit corridors, secret passages, and trap-laden chambers, designed to confound and ensnare any who dare to challenge the authority of the Black Lotus Clan. Dark banners emblazoned with the sinister lotus symbol hang from the walls, casting long shadows that seem to dance with malevolence in the flickering torchlight.

At the heart of the lair lies the inner sanctum, a sprawling chamber adorned with stolen treasures, exotic weapons, and lavish furnishings plundered from the clan's countless victims. Here, the notorious leader of the Black Lotus Clan, a figure shrouded in mystery and fear, holds court, surrounded by his loyal lieutenants and enforcers, each more dangerous than the last.

It is into this den of iniquity that the Chen sisters, Mai and Mei, find themselves dragged against their will, their fate hanging in the balance as they are thrust into a world of deception, betrayal, and deadly intrigue.

Mai winced as her body collided with the hard floor, the impact sending shockwaves of pain through her. Beside her, Mei's cry of distress echoed in the hall, her voice trembling with fear. Mai reached out, wrapping her arms around her younger sister, offering what little comfort she could amidst the chaos.

"Shh, Mei, it's okay," Mai whispered soothingly, though her own voice quivered with uncertainty. "I'm here. I won't let anything happen to you."

As Mai held her sister close, the sound of heavy footsteps approached, accompanied by the harsh commands of the Black Lotus Clan member. With a painful yank, Mai felt her hair pulled back, forcing her to meet the cold gaze of the clan leader.

Her heart pounded in her chest as she stared into his eyes, a mixture of defiance and dread swirling within her. She refused to let him see her fear, but deep down, she knew they were at the mercy of these ruthless men. All Mai could do was cling to her sister, silently vowing to protect her no matter what awaited them.

Mai winced as her hair was yanked, forcing her to look up into the face of the clan leader, a cold and imposing figure seated atop a grand throne. Mei lay beside her, trembling with pain and fear, but Mai tried to offer what comfort she could, wrapping her arms around her younger sister protectively.

The hall seemed to close in around them, filled with the oppressive silence of their captors. Mai's heart pounded in her chest, a constant reminder of the danger they were in. But despite the fear coursing through her veins, she refused to show weakness in front of their captors. She had to stay strong, not just for herself, but for Mei.

The clan leader's gaze bore down on them, his eyes glinting with malice as he assessed his captives. Mai felt a shiver run down her spine at the intensity of his stare, a silent threat that hung heavy in the air.

"Welcome, ladies," he spoke, his voice dripping with contempt. "It seems you've caused quite the stir in our little corner of the world."

Standing tall and broad-shouldered, he cuts an imposing figure with his muscular frame, every sinew of his body honed through years of rigorous training and ruthless ambition.

Bald-headed, his scalp gleams in the dim light of the clan's lair, a stark contrast to the dark shadows that seem to cling to his every movement. His piercing gaze, framed by a thick, furrowed brow, betrays a keen intellect and a chilling determination that brooks no dissent.

At the Peak Spirit Profound Realm, his every strike carries the weight of impending doom, capable of reducing even the most skilled adversaries to quivering wrecks with a single blow.

Despite his fearsome reputation, or perhaps because of it, the clan leader commands unwavering loyalty from his followers, who regard him with a mixture of awe and fear. His word is law within the confines of the Black Lotus Clan's domain, and none dare to challenge his authority lest they face swift and merciless retribution.

Mai's head was forcefully gripped, her heart pounding against her ribs as she stared into the sinister eyes of the thug leader who had captured her. His voice dripped with venom as he spoke the name that sent chills down her spine. "Do you dare disrespect clan leader Fang Zhao?!"

The mention of that name sent Mai into a state of calm panic. Fang Zhao—the very mention of him was enough to strike fear into the hearts of even the bravest souls in the district. He was infamous for his cruelty, his ruthlessness, and his iron grip over the sprawling underworld of the city. Leading the feared Black Lotus Clan, Fang Zhao was a figure of terror, his name whispered in fear and reverence alike.

Mai had heard the stories, the tales of his brutal reign, of the lives he had crushed beneath his heel without a second thought. In this lawless corner of the world, his word was law, his wrath absolute. And now, by some twist of fate, he had set his sights on her.

As Mai lay there, her mind raced with thoughts of gratitude towards Yun Che and her newfound friends and Yuanba. She never imagined that their act of protection would result in this nightmare, but she harbored no resentment towards them. Instead, a steely resolve began to take root within her.

Drawing strength from the memory of their kindness, Mai made a silent vow. She wouldn't betray Yun Che or any of her new friends who had shown her kindness and offered her a glimpse of a better life, even if it was just for a fleeting moment.

As the Black Lotus Clan's menacing presence loomed over her and Mei, Mai's determination solidified. Mai swallowed hard, summoning whatever courage she could muster. "We didn't mean to cause any trouble," she ventured, her voice wavering slightly. "Please, just let us go."

Fang Zhao's lips curled into a cruel smile. "Oh, but you've already offended us," he replied, his tone laced with menace. "And now, it's time to pay the price."

The Fang Zhao's gaze bore down on them, cold and calculating. His expression gave away nothing as he assessed the two sisters before him. They were just girls, vulnerable and frightened, yet there was a flicker of something in his eyes, a hunger that sent a shiver down Mai's spine.

Fang Zhao sneered, his voice dripping with malice. "Tell me, girls, do you know why you're here?"

Mai's heart pounded in her chest as she struggled to find her voice. "W-we don't... we don't know..."

Fang Zhao's lips twisted into a cruel smile. "You don't know? How convenient. Perhaps a lesson in respect is in order."

With a gesture, he signalled to his men, who moved forward menacingly. Mai tightened her grip on Mei, her protective instincts kicking into overdrive. Whatever awaited them in this dark hall, she swore she would do everything in her power to shield her sister from harm.

"You two caused quite a bit of trouble for us yesterday. You got our elder brother beaten by that bastard," the voice of the third brother sneered, echoing with venomous resentment. Mai's heart sank as she recognized the speaker, realizing he was seeking revenge for their previous encounter yesterday.

With a sinking feeling in her gut, Mai understood the dire situation they were in. The men before her were not merely seeking justice; they were fueled by a desire for vengeance against Yun Che. They had singled out Mai and Mei, intent on making them pay for the actions of another.

Fear coursed through Mai as she realized the true extent of the danger they faced. These men were ruthless, driven by a twisted sense of retribution. In the dimly lit hall, their intentions were clear, and Mai knew they wouldn't show mercy.

"Let me do her first, brother!" the second brother exclaimed eagerly, his eyes gleaming with malice.

"Please…" Mai pleaded as she hugged her sister protectively, her voice trembling with fear.

"We'll enjoy you and toss your body to the streets for others to enjoy," the third brother declared, his voice dripping with menace as he revealed their cruel intentions.

With Mei held tightly in her arms, Mai's voice rose in a desperate plea, echoing through the hall. "Please, don't do this! Let us go!"

But the men's cruel intentions were unmistakable as they began to undress, their sinister actions sending shivers down Mai's spine. In a moment of sheer terror, Mai could only muster a fearful scream, her voice a desperate cry for help in the face of unspeakable horror.

"Yun Che… Yuanba! Save us!" Mai pleaded in her heart as she hugged Mei with all her strength.

----------------------------

With a swift leap, Yun Che, Kon, and Yuanba soared through the roof, their determination driving them forward. As they arrived at the scene, the air was thick with tension, filled with the ominous presence of Black Lotus Clan members. Every step had to be cautious, for any wrong move could spell disaster for Mai.

Suddenly, a piercing scream shattered the silence, and Yuanba's blood ran cold as he recognized the voice. Anger surged through him like a raging inferno, igniting the dormant power within his Tyrannical Profound Veins. His eyes blazed with golden intensity as he charged towards the source of the scream, fueled by an overwhelming desire to protect Mai at all costs.

Yun Che and Kon's eyes widened in astonishment as they witnessed Yuanba's muscles swelling, bathed in a radiant golden aura that seemed to pulsate with untold power. With each passing moment, the aura intensified, enveloping Yuanba in a shimmering cloak of otherworldly energy.

The air crackled with anticipation as Yuanba's presence seemed to expand, his very essence suffused with the mysterious golden glow. His once ordinary hair now stood on end, electrified by the sheer force of his newfound strength, yet still retaining its original color, albeit surrounded by the shimmering halo of golden light. His eyes, usually filled with warmth and kindness, now appeared as blank pupils, consumed by the overwhelming surge of power coursing through him.

A primal scream tore through the air, echoing with a resonance that seemed to awaken something deep within Yuanba's soul. It was as though the sheer intensity of the moment had triggered a dormant reservoir of power within him, unleashing a torrent of energy that defied comprehension.

For Yun Che and Kon, who had thought they knew the extent of Yuanba's strength, this transformation was nothing short of miraculous—and terrifying.

"Yuanba, wait!" Yun Che's voice rang out, but Yuanba's resolve was unyielding. With a single-minded focus, he propelled himself forward, his speed matching that of a seasoned cultivator. In that moment, Mai became his sole purpose, his driving force in the face of danger.

"Looks like someone just hit their breaking point," Kon remarked dryly, observing Yuanba's transformation with a mix of awe and amusement. The golden aura surrounding him was a testament to his newfound strength, a manifestation of his unwavering determination to save Mai.

Yun Che nodded in agreement, his eyes gleaming with determination. "Indeed. It seems Mai holds a special place in Yuanba's heart, awakening powers he never knew he possessed. Let's move quickly. We can't afford to let anything happen to her."

With renewed resolve, they raced forward, their hearts united in the common goal of rescuing Mai from harm's way. In the face of adversity, their bond only grew stronger, fueled by the unwavering power of love and loyalty.

"I guess we're keeping our promise after all. We'll dismantle this place," Yun Che muttered under his breath, his tone edged with determination.

Yuanba paid no heed to the intruder alert as he charged towards the largest hall, where Mai was likely being held captive, his muscles tense with anticipation. With a mighty roar, he unleashed a powerful punch, shattering the massive steel door with a single blow. Even Yun Che and Kon couldn't conceal their surprise at the sheer strength displayed by Yuanba, his raw power akin to a force of nature. If only he had wielded this strength during the tournament, he could have easily bested even Ling Yun himself.

The men surrounding Mai widened their eyes in shock as the reinforced door burst open, revealing Yuanba bathed in a tyrannical golden aura. Mai, who had been fearing for her life, couldn't believe her eyes as she witnessed Yuanba's dramatic entrance.

"Yuanba!" she cried out in relief, her heart soaring as he stormed into the hall, a beacon of hope in her darkest hour.

Yun Che landed gracefully next to Yuanba, a smirk playing on his lips as he observed the scene unfolding before him. It seemed Yuanba had truly mastered the art of making a grand entrance.

"Who dares enter the lair of the Black Lotus Clan?!" Fang Zhao thundered, rising from his seat with menace. The shirtless men surrounding him brandished their weapons, ready to defend their turf.

"Let her go!" Yuanba's voice echoed through the hall, his flaming golden aura enveloping his muscular frame, his eyes ablaze with determination. The men around him quailed at the sight of his overwhelming presence, and Mai could only watch in stunned disbelief as Yuanba's true power was revealed before her eyes.

"A couple of boys want to rescue the damsel?" Fang Zhao's taunting words echoed through the hall, dripping with malice. Mai felt the pressure intensify as the previous squad leader who had captured her once again yanked her hair, pressing his sword menacingly against her throat.

"Move closer and I'll slit her throat!" he threatened, his eyes gleaming with sadistic pleasure. Mai's heart pounded with fear, knowing that any wrong move could mean the end for her.

"We'll get revenge for our elder brother," one of the men growled, and Yun Che recognized them as the third and second brothers, their faces twisted with hatred after what he did yesterday. Maybe letting them go wasn't a good idea after all.

"Bastards!" Yuanba's rage surged, his muscles tensing as he prepared to launch himself into action. But Yun Che raised his hand, blocking his path. Though Yuanba bristled with defiance, Yun Che's word was absolute, and he forced himself to calm down.

"Brother-in-law…." Yuanba's voice was thick with frustration as he questioned Yun Che's decision to hold him back from saving Mai.

"You see that sword on her neck? You get closer, Mai is as good as dead," Yun Che's voice was firm, his eyes locked on Yuanba's. His words struck a chord within him, and Yuanba gritted his teeth in frustration. But Yun Che reassured him with a steady gaze. "I'll handle this."

"Get them!!!" Fang Zhao's command shattered the tension, and the rest of his men surged forward, ready to attack. Yun Che smirked internally, knowing that this was his moment to put his newly refined Kido spell to the test. But first, they had to ensure the safety of Mai and Mei above all else.

Yun Che's eyes narrowed as he focused his concentration, locking onto the previous leader's sword hand with precision. With a practiced motion, he enacted his kido, chanting the incantations with a commanding tone.

"Hoi! (Engulf)"

"Joso! (Corner)"

"Ketsu! (Bind)"

In an instant, a cube-shaped barrier materialized around the leader's hand and his sword, confining them within its confines. The surrounding thugs watched in disbelief as their leader's hand became ensnared by the mysterious barrier, and even Mai couldn't hide her astonishment and fear at the sight.

With a confident smirk, Yun Che delivered the final blow, his voice resonating with power. "Metsu! (Destroy)"

A wave of energy surged forth from Yun Che's command, causing everything within the blue cuboid barrier to disintegrate into vapor. The leader's hand vanished in a puff of smoke, leaving behind only the echo of his agonized scream. Even Kon and Yuanba stood in awe at the display of power.

As Mai and Mei trembled in fear, Yun Che wasted no time in protecting them. With a swift gesture, he pointed towards them and uttered another command. "Ketsu!"

Instantly, blue cube barriers formed around Mai and her sister, enveloping them in a protective shield. The thug who had been holding them at sword point was thrown back by the force of the barrier, while the other clansmen's attacks were deflected by its impenetrable surface.

As long as Mai and Mei remained encased within the multiple barrier cubes, they were effectively shielded from harm.

"Brother-in-law… this…" Yuanba's eyes widened in astonishment as he observed the protective barriers surrounding the sisters. The realization dawned on him that Yun Che had developed new abilities, allowing him to create barriers from a distance and secure their targets from afar.

"Since when did you learn these new tricks?" Kon's voice carried a mix of surprise and curiosity as he perched on Yun Che's shoulder, eyeing the barriers with interest.

"It's something I've been working on, a modification of my Kido," Yun Che explained confidently. "Mai and Mei are now safe within those barriers. We can take down these thugs without worrying about them."

Yuanba's expression shifted, a tyrannical smile creeping across his face once more. With the assurance that Mai was protected, his resolve to defeat their enemies hardened.

"Bastards!!!" Fang Zhao's furious shout filled the hall, drowning out the cries of his injured subordinates. "Kill the woman and her sister! Break through the barrier and eliminate them both!"

"Let's get to work, Yuanba! Kon!" Yun Che's voice rang out with determination as he focused on utilizing his newly acquired and modified Kido techniques that he had been honing for a while.

"Aye, sir!" Kon responded eagerly, diving into one of the men's bodies and seizing control. "Bow down to Kon-sama!" he shouted, his possessed host wreaking havoc among the enemy ranks.

"Leave it to me!" Yuanba's voice boomed as he unleashed a powerful punch, sending multiple adversaries flying with the newfound strength granted by his Tyrannical Veins. The system indicated that his power had already reached the Peak Spirit Profound Realm, further boosted by his unique veins.

Meanwhile, Yun Che manipulated the Kido barriers as weapons, utilizing his command of destruction to devastating effect. With a mere thought, he conjured barriers from a distance, each imbued with unique properties that he could modify at will. His understanding of geometry and 3D manipulation allowed him to shape the barriers into various forms, from simple cubes to complex structures like octagons.

Exploiting the versatility of his Kido, Yun Che conjured barriers all around, using them as platforms to maneuver through the chaos. With swift calculations and precise control, he formed the barriers into weapons, swinging them like poles or merging them into formidable shapes. Each move was a testament to his mastery over the art of Kido, unlocking its infinite possibilities through mathematical precision and geometrical knowledge.

As the battle raged on, Yun Che's strategic use of Kido turned the tide in their favor, demonstrating the true potential of his newfound abilities.

As more and more men swarmed in, intent on ending their lives to prevent torments to the people of this district, Yun Che leaped above the chaos, calling out to Kon with a casual grin.

"Yo, Kon, still remember how to play 'bounce'?" Yun Che's voice cut through the clamor, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

Kon, currently inhabiting one of the men's bodies, responded with confusion. "How am I supposed to play it?" he asked, puzzled by Yun Che's cryptic request.

"Just transform into a streak of light and ride it out," Yun Che explained, his grin widening as he reshaped the Kekkai into a mirror-like surface.

With a mischievous smirk, Yun Che conjured more Kekkai around them, creating a reflective battlefield. Meanwhile, Kon materialized into his light ball form in Yun Che's hand, ready for action.

Tossing Kon's light streak form into the air, Yun Che watched as it soared through the battlefield, bouncing off the reflective surfaces with increasing speed. Each bounce amplified Kon's velocity, transforming him into a rapid-fire laser-like streak of light that struck every enemy in its path.

As Kon bounced and streaked through the air, unleashing a barrage of dazzling light, the enemies stood no chance against the relentless onslaught. With each strike, Yun Che's ingenious strategy turned the tide of battle, showcasing the true power of their combined abilities in a dazzling display of skill and strategy.

As Yun Che orchestrated Kon's dazzling display, Yuanba transformed the battlefield into his own personal warzone. With each earth-shaking punch, he bulldozed through the enemy ranks, sending them hurtling through the air like ragdolls. Mai and Mei watched in awe as Yuanba's raw power turned the tide of battle in their favor, his muscular form a formidable force to be reckoned with.

Amidst the chaos, some of the Black Lotus Clan members attempted to flee, but Yun Che had already sealed off the hall and surrounding compound with his barriers, leaving them with nowhere to run.

As the battle raged on, Fang Zhao's frustration boiled over, his teeth grinding together in anger as he watched his men fall one by one under the relentless assault of Yuanba and Yun Che. Despite their best efforts, they were no match for the combined might of the two warriors.

Meanwhile, the two brothers who had once arrogantly thought they owned Mai now found themselves running for their lives, desperation etched into their faces. But before they could escape, Yuanba intercepted them with a thunderous punch, sending them hurtling through the air like ragdolls. As they crashed to the ground, the realization of their folly began to sink in, and regret gnawed at their hearts.

In that moment, they understood the grave mistake they had made in daring to offend both Yuanba and Yun Che. Their overconfidence had led them down a path of destruction, and now they paid the price for their arrogance with the total destruction of their clan. With Yuanba's overwhelming strength and Yun Che's strategic prowess, they stood no chance against the formidable duo.

But as Fang Zhao lunged forward, his sword poised for a deadly strike, Yun Che intervened once more, deploying a barrier around Yuanba to deflect the incoming attack. Despite his desire to take center stage, Yun Che knew when to step back and let Yuanba shine, focusing instead on providing support from the sidelines.

With Fang Zhao's blade rendered useless against the barrier, Yuanba seized the opportunity, unleashing a barrage of powerful punches that sent the leader reeling despite four realms stronger than Yuanba. Each blow landed with bone-crushing force, and any attempts to counter were swiftly deflected by Yun Che's protective barrier. Tonight, Yuanba would have his moment to shine, and Yun Che was more than willing to play his part in supporting him.

Yun Che was ready to bind Fang Zhao in a barrier and decimate him but Yuanba stood before him and spoke "Brother-in-law… Please let me deal with him."

"He's in the Peak of Spirit Profound Realm." Yun Che warned and he wasn't sure whether Yuanba had the strength to challenge him despite having the boost of his special veins.

"I can take him. Please let me. For Mai and Mei." Yuanba spoke with determination as he prepared to engage Fang Zhao.

"Very well. If you think you can beat him, go for it. But if you get your ass kicked, I am stepping in." Yun Che spoke as he and Kon made their way to Mai's barrier. He won't risk any sneak attacks so he didn't dispel the barrier.

"You wouldn't want to see this," Yun Che declared, swiftly increasing the opacity of the barrier to shield Mai and Mei from the ensuing chaos outside.

As the dust settled and the chaos of battle enveloped the hall, Yun Che and Kon watched intently from the sidelines after he blocked Mai and Mei's visions, their eyes fixed on the epic confrontation unfolding before them. In the center of the swirling melee stood Yuanba, his muscles bulging with power and his eyes burning with determination, facing off against the formidable clan leader.

Fang Zhao, his body battered and bruised from Yuanba's previous blows, gritted his teeth and tightened his grip on his sword, ready to unleash his fury upon his adversary. With a roar, he charged forward, his blade gleaming in the dim light of the hall.

Yuanba met his opponent head-on, his fists raised in a defensive stance. As Fang Zhao's sword descended towards him with deadly precision, Yuanba moved with lightning speed, dodging the blow and countering with a powerful punch of his own.

The impact reverberated throughout the hall, sending shockwaves rippling through the air. Fang Zhao staggered backward, his sword arm trembling from the force of the blow. But he refused to back down, his eyes blazing with fury as he launched another assault.

Yuanba met each strike with unmatched strength and skill, his fists a blur as he unleashed a barrage of punches upon his opponent. With each blow, he pushed Fang Zhao further and further back, his determination unyielding despite the odds stacked against him.

Yun Che and Kon watched in awe as Yuanba's raw power and unwavering resolve began to turn the tide of battle. With each punch, he chipped away at Fang Zhao's defenses, wearing him down with relentless force.

"Little brat! If I die here, you will go down with me!" But Fang Zhao, fueled by rage and desperation, refused to go down without a fight. With a fierce cry, he launched one final, desperate attack, aiming to strike down Yuanba once and for all.

But Yuanba was ready. With a swift movement, he dodged the blow and delivered a devastating uppercut, sending Fang Zhao flying through the air with a resounding crash.

The hall fell silent as the dust settled, the battle finally coming to an end. Yun Che and Kon approached Yuanba, their expressions filled with admiration for his bravery and strength.

Meanwhile, the conscious thugs watched in horror as Yuanba delivered a final, devastating blow to their leader, shattering his ribs and obliterating his cultivation in one fell swoop. The sheer force behind the punch spoke volumes of Yuanba's determination to protect Mai, fueling his anger with each strike.

As their leader landed with a thud, Yun Che and Yuanba, accompanied by Kon perched on Yun Che's shoulder, descended upon the scene.

"Wait… wait... wait… you two... you wanted those two back right? Just take them. Just take those bitches and get out of our hall," one of the conscious thugs pleaded, but before Yun Che could respond, Yuanba had already dealt a decisive blow to the speaker, sending him sprawling to the ground.

Yun Che sighed, his patience wearing thin. "Don't talk. That doesn't matter anymore."

"I did say yesterday, that you touch a strand of hair on their head. Your clan is as good as gone," Yun Che cracked his knuckles, fully intending to follow through on his threat.

"Brazen! No one insults the Black Lotus Clan and gets away with it! We will avenge our leader!" the thugs rallied, but Yun Che simply nodded towards Yuanba and Kon, signaling their readiness to face the impending onslaught.

"They're coming! Attack!" the thugs shouted, believing their numbers would overwhelm the trio.

"There's only two of them!" someone exclaimed, but Kon, refusing to be sidelined, transformed into a streak of light, and initiated his bouncing rampage. Meanwhile, Yun Che unleashed his Party Table Kick Course, spinning and striking with precision, while Yuanba unleashed a flurry of punches, sending thugs flying.

"Arrgghhh!" The thugs cried out in pain as the hall erupted into chaos under the relentless assault of Yun Che, Yuanba, and Kon causing the entire hall to explode.

-----------------------------

"Well? That's the last of them," Yun Che remarked, his voice echoing in the now silent hall, punctuated only by the groans of the defeated. The trio stood amidst the wreckage, surrounded by unconscious bodies and shattered remnants of the once formidable Black Lotus Clan.

Yun Che continued speaking as Yuanba returned to his normal self, the golden aura dissipating from around him. "You broke their bones, huh?" Kon chimed in, his plushy form bouncing lightly as he landed on the ground.

Yuanba scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "Not exactly. Only some of them. I just crippled their cultivation. The rest just fell. With their cultivation crippled, the guards can take care of them. And with that explosion, they'll soon swarm this place. Good thing the rebellion took place, so all the corrupt guards were instantly replaced the moment Cang Wanhe took the mantle of the emperor back. So, I assume all of them are jailed and the clan will be dismantled."

"You're not going to kill them?" Kon asked, his tone tinged with curiosity.

"Killing them won't get me any XP, dude. It'll leave a bad taste," Yun Che replied matter-of-factly as he began gathering the unconscious thugs and piling them outside. Despite having the power to end their lives, he chose instead to leave their fate in the hands of the city soldiers who were on their way. For those who had joined in the destruction of Mai's restaurant, he had already meted out justice by crippling their cultivation. As for the rest, he allowed whatever fate had in store for them.

After piling the thugs outside, Yun Che and Yuanba made their way to Mai and Mei, their task complete. With a wave of his hand, Yun Che dispelled the barrier that had protected the sisters, allowing them to emerge unharmed from the chaos that had unfolded around them.

Yun Che wasted no time in administering healing Kido to Mai, checking her thoroughly for any injuries both internal and external. Thankfully, she appeared to be unharmed, and the same held true for Mei.

As Mai rose to her feet, tears streaming down her cheeks, Mei rushed into Yun Che's arms, her sobs muffled against his chest. Mai, too overwhelmed with emotion, found herself embracing Yuanba tightly, her tears soaking his shirt. Though initially flustered by the sudden affection, Yuanba's concern for Mai quickly overtook any sense of embarrassment.

"Big … brother…. Waa! I am scared!... They hurt big… sis…" Mei's cries pierced the air, her fear palpable.

"Don't worry, Mei… You're safe now, your sister too. Don't be scared. I am here for you," Yun Che reassured her, his voice a soothing balm to the frightened girl.

"Eh? What about me?" Kon's voice sounded as usual Yun Che was getting the thanks despite he did all the work.

"Dude, really?" Yun Che shot him a sceptical look.

"Thank… you... big brother…." Mei managed to offer her gratitude through her tears.

"Thank you, Yuanba… Yun Che… for saving us. You too Kon… We were sure we were dead," Mai choked out between sobs, her gratitude overflowing.

"Don't … don't… worry, Mai…. We…" Yuanba's words stumbled as he struggled to find the right words, but Yun Che silenced him with a knowing glance, urging him to simply let Mai cry and find solace in his arms.

After some time had passed and the sisters had begun to calm down, Yun Che nodded towards Yuanba, signaling that it was time to escort them home. But before they could leave, Yuanba's curiosity got the better of him.

"Brother-in-law? What kind of power did I use just now?" he inquired, his gaze shifting between Yun Che and Mai.

"I have no idea, but it seems your anger and care for Mai awakened it. Some sort of power boost. You really do care for her," Yun Che replied with a hint of amusement, his eyes twinkling mischievously. Yuanba's attention shifted back to Mai, who was still nestled in his arms, her tears gradually subsiding.

"I guess I do," Yuanba admitted, a warm smile gracing his features as he tightened his embrace around Mai, silently vowing to protect her with all his strength.

As Yun Che guided Mai through the shattered remnants of the steel door, carrying Mei on his shoulder, a smile played on his lips. He had witnessed something remarkable in Yuanba—a newfound determination and strength that stemmed from his care for someone other than his sister and father. It was a revelation that hinted at the vast potential within him.

Though Yuanba's surge of power might have faded for now, Yun Che had gained valuable insight into how to tap into his latent abilities. He had assisted in modifying Yuanba's veins, enabling him to cultivate more efficiently, but it was Mai's scream that had truly ignited the spark within him, propelling him into a state akin to that of a false Super Saiyan from Dragon Ball.

Observing Yuanba now, Yun Che and Kon exchanged a knowing glance, recognizing the significance of letting him take the credit. While they could have easily intervened and played the role of heroes, there was something gratifying about allowing Yuanba to shine in the eyes of others, especially Mai.

For Yun Che, Mai had become someone he deeply cared about, and in turn, he had inadvertently become her hero. Yet, he knew that his role was simply to provide the necessary push. The true hero was Yuanba, who had found the strength within himself to rise above the odds and protect those he held dear.

Meanwhile...

Retsu coordinated with Mio to clear away the wreckage left behind by the attackers, directing the disposal of broken utensils and damaged items behind the restaurant. Though the assailants had wreaked havoc, the Apple of Eden made quick work of restoring the establishment to its former cleanliness, save for the irreparably damaged utensils.

"Yosh… That's one last trash," Retsu declared, placing a box of shattered plates alongside the other discarded items. While Nemu and Cang Yue stayed behind to assist with the cleanup, Retsu and Mio took charge of disposing of the debris.

Gathering the final remnants of destruction, Mio sighed as she added them to the growing pile. "They really destroyed all the food ingredients. I want to feed those clans to the spiders, but I am sure Danna-sama did a number on them."

Retsu nodded in agreement, her frustration evident. "That's right, Mio-chan. Yuu-kun is true to his word, but never mind about that. Let's just destroy these things, and I had the system replace all the broken items before Yuu-kun comes back with Mai-chan and Mei-chan."

"There's a lot of things needed to be destroyed," Mio lamented, preparing to utilize her darkness power to consume the trashes.

"Ufuu, I got it covered, Mio-chan," Retsu chuckled, her fingers poised in a familiar gesture. "Ketsu!"

As Retsu performed the Ketsu spell, a massive blue cube barrier materialized around the trashes, sealing them inside with a surprising display of magic. Mio's eyes widened in astonishment as she watched the barrier form, her surprise evident.

"Metsu!" With a single command, Retsu activated the destructive properties of the spell, causing everything inside the barrier to disintegrate into dust before the barrier dissipated.

"Oooohhh… Did you learn a new trick?" Mio exclaimed, still marveling at the display of magic she had just witnessed.

Retsu smiled proudly before she began to explain, her voice filled with admiration. "No, it's one of the Barrier Kido spells Yuu-kun modified. I stumbled upon him testing it once, so I asked him to teach me since I have basic barrier Kido skills from Yachiru. Originally, it was intended as a simple barrier, but he applied the destructive properties from Hado #90 Black Coffin into it, allowing us to destroy anything inside it. It's incredible how a simple barrier Kido spell can be modified to such an extent. Yuu-kun's intelligence and creativity are beyond my comprehension. When I asked him about it, all he said was he gained inspiration from an old anime he used to watch. I don't understand what he meant, but it was the foundation of this spell."

"Danna-sama is truly remarkable, isn't he? How does it work, actually?" Mio inquired, her eyes sparkling with curiosity as she sought to understand the mechanics behind the spell.

"Yes, he is," Retsu replied with a proud tone before delving into further explanation. "Originally, the barrier was not easy to control, but Yuu-kun modified it to support three commands. The command 'Hoi (Engulf)' is used to lock onto a target. 'Joso (Cornerstone)' is employed to place a barrier underneath it. Then, we create the barrier with 'Ketsu (Bind)' and destroy anything inside it using 'Metsu (Destroy) or 'Kai (Release) to release anything or anyone trapped within. The first two commands were needed at first but after much practice, I don't need them anymore."

"Sugoi! You can destroy anything with the barrier technique?" Mio marveled, her eyes widening in awe.

"Yes, as long as our levels outmatch our opponents'. It makes things even easier as I can adapt it to serve various purposes, such as creating spike weapons by modifying the barrier properties," Retsu explained. She demonstrated by creating a cube barrier stool for them to sit on, adjusting its softness to resemble a cushion. Retsu still has trouble learning the mathematical and geometrical properties of these barriers as she might be powerful but complex learning is kind of beyond her. Mio joined her, confirming its sturdiness. She made a mental note to ask Retsu to teach her these modified barrier techniques later, recognizing their usefulness for future endeavors.

"But you just used a powerful barrier kido technique to take out the trash?" Mio teased with a grin, impressed by Retsu's resourcefulness.

Retsu offered a sheepish smile, acknowledging the power of the barrier disintegration technique she had just employed. "Yes, Mio-chan, I did indeed. But don't worry, Yuu-kun created a failsafe so we can't misuse the technique and accidentally destroy something or someone without proper intent."

Mio's curiosity was piqued, her mind already racing with possibilities. "The things we can do with it! Mind teaching me as well, Ret-chan? I might be able to modify it to use Profound Energy if I can understand it better. If we can modify the Rasengan, we can modify this one as well."

"That's a great idea, Mio-chan," Retsu agreed. "Yuu-kun is currently developing more derived techniques from it, but it might take some time to complete them. Most of them require him to surpass level 100 to ensure their completion. For now, this modified Kido barrier is all we have—a versatile tool that can seal or destroy anything at will. It can be used to protect anything placed within it."

With a nod, Retsu stood up, dispelling the stool barrier they had been sitting on. "For now, let's use it to disintegrate the trash." Together, they continued to disintegrate the debris before returning to help Nemu and Cang Yue.

An idea I gained after watching an old anime.
