Chapter 75: I called him (3):

"So... has the police called you back yet Mr Zhao?" Su Mu asked as he shook his head. Everyone was back to sitting in their original position. Qi Yan was sitting next to Ru Yu. "Aunty rest assured, I've asked people to go and search for Hui Qing," muttered Qi Yan as he tried to assure my shaking mother. I thanked him for his effort. I feel like nobody is going to have a good sleep tonight.

"Butler Xu, please prepare three guest rooms for Qi Yan, Su Mu, and Ru Yu. If you guys don't mind you can stay here for today," I ordered as everyone nodded. Ru Yu looked hesitant but still agreed following Qi Yan's lead. "Butler Xu there is no need for so much hustle, just prepare 2 rooms instead. I can stay in Lin Xue's room. It's a queen-sized bed," added Su Mu as we all laughed. Lin Xue Jie looked so embarrassed. "Su Mu, you still haven't fully become my brother-in-law. It's quite unlucky to see your wife before the wedding," joked Lin Hua Jie. Everyone laughed at her words as Su Mu continued to joke around with her. In the end, he won. Butler Xu only needed to prepare 2 rooms.

"Jie, stop acting so sweet together, it's making me feel really single. I'm sure Hui Yun Mei and Huai Zhan Gege are also feeling super single," hushed Lin Hua. Lin Xue Jie laughed and asked whether or not I was feeling single. Technically no so I shook my head. Gege also shook his head, that guy had literally no EQ. So he wouldn't feel anything.

"Lin Xue, if you're feeling single how about asking mum to introduce you to some of her friends' son?" asked Lin Hua. "Ah, Xue are you finally willing to go on some blind dates? I'm willing to set up with some of my friend's sons," exclaimed Aunty in excitement. "Maaa. Why are you not like other parents? Most parents aren't even willing to let their kids get into a relationship until after they graduate. I don't even have time to get into a relationship," retorted Lin Hua.

Everyone laughed at this conversation. This conversation was making everyone feel a little better as everyone was really tense before. Even Mum and Dad were laughing. good job Lin Hua Jie.

Seeing as everyone was feeling really lightheaded. I knew it was finally time for me to tell everyone. I called out to my parents and everyone turned quiet. "What's wrong Hui Yun?" Dad asked as he turned towards me. I signed and whispered, "I have 1 good news and 1 bad news which one do you want to hear first?". Dad looked at Mum and whispered, "The good one first,".

I took a death breath and whispered "Before, I came inside this house. I called him and told him everything,". Everyone looked confused hence Gege asked, "Hui Yun who did you call?". I stood up and looked at everyone and whispered "Fu Huai Ning,". Everyone apart from Qi Yan, Su Mu, and Ru Yu's face turned solemn. "Did he wish to come back himself or what?" asked Aunty. "He wanted to come back himself," I replied "Still, only jie jie can make him come back,"

At that moment, my phone rang. It was second gege. I picked it up and put it on speaker.

Fu Huai Ning: Hello, Hui Yun. Has there been any news about Hui Qing?

Me: No. Sorry.

Huai Ning: No, it's alright. It's not your fault. Hui Yun, I've booked the flight for tonight at 7 pm. I'll arrive at around 8 in the morning. So even though my phone will be closed, you must keep me updated ok?

Hui Yun: I will. Are you coming alone?

Huai Ning: That's a secret. You'll know tomorrow.

Hui Yun: Ok, I'll see you tomorrow.

And with that, I ended the call. "See, I didn't force him. he wanted to come here himself. Besides, we've all asked him to come back for the last 5 years, but has he come back? NO. Only jie jie can make his return," I muttered. As everyone nodded. "That's true. I've asked him to come back for the past 5 years yet he hasn't ever agreed," added Dad.

"Whose Fu Huai Ning?" Su Mu asked. "I'll tell you later," exclaimed Lin Xue Jie. Ru Yu and Qi Yan looked really confused and turned their gaze to me. "Later" I mouthed as they both nodded.
