Chapter 43: Slow down Hui Qing!!!

Back to FL POV:

It's not that I can't drive. It's just my parents won't let me. But I have a license for everything. Back when I was 16 maybe? Huai Ning took me once with him and his friends to a mountain known for its ferocious car racing. He took me for a ride, and I immediately fell in love with it. I love the feeling of wind flying past you as you race against other people. Gosh, it was an amazing time. At first, Huai Ning didn't want to let me try because he was scared that I'd get hurt. But I got what I wanted in the end on the compromise that Huai Ning would accompany me every time. My parents didn't know about this until the accident happened. Let's just say after that my parents never let me touch the wheels.

Anyway since my parents aren't here that means I can drive again. Gosh, I feel excited just thinking about it. I turned around to find that Qi Yan had come back from his toilet trip with two Starbucks in his hand. When did he get those? I mean I just came back from the toilet does that mean he didn't go toilet and went straight to grab us some refreshments? How sweet of him. I walked up to him and asked, "What flavour did you get?" Qi Yan smiled and replied, "This is for you, and this is for me,". I took the cup from his right hand and took a sip of it. Hmmm, it was caramel frape one of my favourites. "What did you get?" I asked leaning next to him. He sipped his drink and replied, "Cookies and creme frape,". That's a really good choice, one of my favourites as well. I looked at Qi Yan for a long time debating on whether or not to ask him. "Can I have a sip?" I asked. I finally plucked up the courage to ask, I looked at Qi Yan's face and noticed he was more surprised than anything else. He laughed and muttered, "Sure, but I wanna try yours,". I handed him the cup and noticed that he didn't remove the straw. He just drank from that straw. An indirect kiss. My face blushed as I too took a sip of Qi Yan's drink. I don't know why but today it seemed to be a bit sweeter. "Yummy," I muttered whilst blushing. Qi Yan handed my drink back to me and said, "it was really sweet,". We walked back to the car, and I walked towards the driver's seat. Qi Yan smiled at me and confirmed that I knew how to drive. I nodded but I was full of glee. I can't wait to get behind the wheel again.

We got into the car and safely placed the drinks aside. I made sure that our seatbelts were on because Qi Yan was about to get the shock of his life. I slowly reversed the car out of the parking lot and Qi Yan was watching my every move very carefully. How sweet was he scared I didn't know how to drive. LOL. As soon as we reached the motorway, I lowered the window all the way and pressed hard on the accelerator and zoomed off. The speed limit was 70 so I kept driving on 69 not slower or faster. Technically, I wasn't speeding. I hadn't passed the speed limit yet. I looked beside me and realised that Qi Yan hadn't gotten over the shock yet. The wind was blowing right around me and finally, I could feel this feeling again. "FU HUI QING SLOW DOWN," Qi Yan shouted trying to stop me. I finally slowed the car back down and looked at Qi Yan. he looked like he wanted to vomit. I stopped the car at the nearest service and Qi Yan rushed straight to the bathroom. When he came outside, I handed him a bottle and he slowly sipped it. Qi Yan looked at me earnestly and asked, "Where did you learn to drive like that?". I looked away sheepishly and muttered "Somewhere,". Qi Yan raised his eyebrows in confusion and silence befell us.

* Fu Huai Ning and Fu Hui Qing are twins. But right now he isn't in the main story yet
