Alina causes trouble

"Hey, I was waiting for your call for so long. Are you really my best friend? You don't even remember me." Abigail said remorsefully.

"I was just going to call you. I just reached home."Samia quickly coaxed her.

"So how was it? Is he as handsome as the rumors say?" Abigail asked excitedly.

'Seriously, that's all you care about. Now I want to question whether you are really my best friend.' Samia thought.

"Yes, He is handsome." Realizing that the topic was in the wrong direction she said "wait…you're not going to even ask about me are you?"

"Oh, When are you joining?" Abigail asked.

"You are saying as if I got selected."Samia rolled her eyes.

"Oh, you didn't?" Abigail asked in a raised voice. " What a pity, you won't be able to see such a handsome face every day."

Samia wanted to know how her brain works.

"I got the job though," Samia said.

"I knew it. Ok, I will be going now. Don't forget to seduce your boss, but I think with your face it should be the other way around. Hehe." Abigail was laughing evilly and just as her friend could say anything to her she hung up the phone.

Samia was speechless.

She went to the kitchen to cook herself a simple meal of Dal rice.

Meanwhile, Abigail only wanted Samia to be happy and find someone. She never dated anyone. Though there are bad people in this world, it doesn't mean that everyone is bad. She will have to start trusting people to get ahead in life.

She knew Samia very well. She won't try just because of the fear of getting hurt. One can't go on like that. Maybe if you tried you wouldn't end up as you imagined.

The next day.

Samia woke up early.

She started running and doing some exercises.

In her previous life, she learned martial arts. After all, there are all sorts of people in the business world.

Though she won't be walking down the same path, it is good to know a little self-defense. It can come in handy in some situations.

After coming back home, she took a shower and got ready to go to the company.

At the company, they signed the contract and she agreed to join from next week.

The next Monday, She started working at the company. She thought that it would be hard to mingle with others. But everyone was friendly. Her life as a secretary started. She was quick in learning and won everyone's heart.

Thus, her life was going pretty smooth sailing.

Everyone was impressed by her including Felix.

Just like that 3 months passed in a blink of an eye.

Samia got used to her work and life was going quite nicely.

It was another usual day. She got ready and left for her office.

She went to the 23rd floor which was one floor below Felix's office. All the important directors, secretary, and assistant office was on this floor.

Felix had the whole floor for himself. Though assistant Ryan and Samia had a little office there too because of their work.

Samia kept her belongings in her cabin and went toward Felix's office.

She knocked on the door to which the person inside asked her to come in.

"Good morning Sir" Samia greeted.

Felix responded with a nod.

"After the monthly meeting at 9 AM, you have a meeting with Mr. James to talk about the amusement park." Samia then reported about the people who wished to have an appointment with him.

"I will see that later." Felix then stood up to go to the meeting room.

Samia didn't join the meeting because she had other things at hand.

She only joined the meetings when she was quite free.

So she went to her cabin and continued her work.

After a few minutes, she gets a call from the receptionist saying that Alina, Felix's girlfriend, has just gone in the elevator to Felix's floor. She didn't stop her because Alina came with Felix last time.

Samia said that she understood and hung up the call.

Usually, if Felix is not present, this kind of situation should be handled by Ryan since he is also in the meeting. Samia had no choice but to check on Alina.

When she reached Felix's office, she saw that Alina was just about to enter Felix's room. Samia knew she had the right to do so but she didn't know how good their relationship was and Felix's office contained some secret documents which shouldn't be known to an outsider.

Samia stopped her, "Excuse me miss you can't casually enter anywhere, if you have something important please wait in the waiting room."

Alina turned around angrily, she wanted to know who was so arrogant to stop her, but she was instead stunned by her beauty.

She is a celebrity and has seen many beautiful people but the person before her was the most beautiful.

She became jealous and said "Who are you to stop me? I am Felix's girlfriend. I have the right to enter wherever I want."

So what if she was good-looking?

"Miss, Sir is in a meeting right now, and I am seeing you for the first time. You know with his position there must be people having schemes up their sleeves. Since you are his girlfriend you must be magnanimous enough to understand this and wait in the waiting room till sir comes, right" Samia said.

If she dares to enter the office even now, wouldn't that make her seem that she is not understanding?

Alina nodded while thinking that she just work here, let Felix come and I will make her lose her job, she doesn't even know her position.

She scoffed and went to the waiting room.

Samia asked someone to serve her some snacks and juice.

As Samia was going to resume her work she was called by Alina.

"Do you need something?" Samia asked.

"Yes, a hot coffee please with two teaspoons of sugar, and can you bring that yourself, I don't like that maid," Alina said.

Samia suppressed her anger as she don't want to cause any trouble and went to bring the coffee as the young lady said.
