Talk To Doctor Doris
After covering her with the blanket, he took his cell phone from his trouser pocket. And walked to the glass window at the end of the room.
"Tell me the most effective medicine to heal bruises…."
"What? Why? Are you hurt?" Doris's voice on the other end sounded frantic. Worried if something happened to Evan.
"I'm not. Please… just answer my question without asking back!"
"Is Rose injured? Let me see her wound…."
Evan gripped his phone tightly. His face turned displeased hearing Doris still ask him back. After a moment of silence, he turned his head around to look at Rose. He was surprised when his eyes met Rose's clear hazel eyes.
"Are you awake?"
Evan walked fast toward Rose without hanging up the phone. "Sleep again. You need more rest..." He sat beside her bed while smoothing the hair that covered part of her face. Her long eyelashes were swinging rapidly as if she was confused and shocked to see him in her bedroom.
