Devastated
Rose woke up feeling uncomfortable; her eyes felt heavy and puffy as if her eyelashes were tangled. She can feel her throat hurt when she swallows. With difficulty, she got up and sat on the edge of the bed, massaging her sore forehead.
She didn't see Evan in the room. She thought Evan was in the bathroom right now but didn't hear any sound from there.
The moment her eyes looked at her watch, she felt her heart tighten again. They still have 4 hours to land in Fort City, the Capital City of Astington country. For Rose, 4 hours felt like forever. She can't wait to know about her mother's condition.
Since boarding this jet, all Rose did was cry, sleep, cry, sleep, and so on. She can't do anything else; she is not even interested in eating or talking. Not a bit of food could enter Rose's body if Evan didn't force her. It was as if her body was just an empty shell, her mind only focused on her mother.
