"I... I'm fine… No, no, not just f-fine. I'm feeling great. W-why do you ask?" she stammered, confused as she observed Xavier's expression transform into a frown.
"I called you several times, but you just froze, staring at the gun on that wall," Xavier pointed to the sniper rifle in front of them.
Iris turned her gaze slowly towards the wall, feeling puzzled. 'Why was I fixated on that rifle? Can that weapon hold memories from my past life?' she wondered.
She turned her attention back to Xavier, offering a smile before speaking, "It seems I was just taken aback by your weapon collection here. Why do you need so many weapons?" Her curiosity was clearly apparent through her gaze.
Xavier rubbed his brow before replying, "I've already explained my reasons, haven't I?"
She could only nod, recalling that she had given him a foolish reason for wanting a gun, just as he may have done.
