Gentle wind was caressing the leaves of massive trees that towered over the lush green landscape. The morning sun rays painted a golden hue across the meadows, casting a warm glow upon the flowers that bloomed in vibrant colors.

It was the start of a new day, and nature seemed to awaken with a renewed energy.

Even the monsters that inhabited the forest were slowly emerging from their slumber, stretching their limbs and letting out groggy growls.

One particular monster was Stormclaw, a majestic creature that stood on four powerful legs, had a tail that crackled with electricity, and possessed two horns that curled gracefully from its forehead.

Its yellow eyes also had no irises but were instead filled with swirling storms, as if capturing the very essence of thunder and lightning.

It was a fearsome, viscount rank monster.

Yawn...

Emerging from its den, Stormclaw stretched its massive body, arching its back and extending its limbs.

As it let out a loud yawn, crackles of electricity danced along its snout, adding to the intimidating aura it emitted.

However, it didn't phase a person who was lying calmly on the ground, hidden in the tall grass, observing Stormclaw's movements with unwavering focus.

He had two bright blue eyes and black hair that had grown slightly messy from being in the wilderness for days. In his hands he grasped a spear made out of sturdy wood, its tip made out of some metal that gleamed with a blueish sheen.

'Status...'

Quietly whispering something beneath his breath, the young male stared at the almost transparent screen that appeared before him.

Looking as the creature stretched its body, Kai suddenly leapt forward, accurately thrusting his spear toward the monster's hip.

The tip of his weapon dug deep into the Stormclaw's flesh, causing it to screech in pain.

Usually, no ordinary Awakener would try to beat a Viscount Rank monster while being at G+ Rank, however, Kai was not normal.

Before the monster could recover, he circled his Lunar Energy throughout his body and darted straight toward the Stormclaw's maw.

Kai's vision sharpened, each detail of the Stormclaw's form crystallizing in his mind - a dance of muscles beneath its fur, the crackling energy around its horns, and the swirling storms trapped within its eyes.

The monster's agonized screech echoed through the forest, a warning call that stirred the creatures nearby into a frenzy.

However, Kai didn't hesitate. This time his spear penetrated deeply into the creature's flesh.

Roar...

The Stormclaw recoiled in pain, its howls echoing through the forest, drawing the attention of other creatures. Kai knew he had to act swiftly. He danced around the monster, anticipating its movements with a keen sense of focus honed through rigorous training.

His spear sliced through the air once more, aiming for a vulnerable spot near the creature's hind leg. With a quick, calculated strike, the tip of his weapon found its mark, causing the monster to stagger and roar in agony.

The fight was nearing its ending.

Although the Stormclaw was a Viscount Rank monster, it was wounded beyond belief. Rivers of blood were running down its fur, its once glowing eyes, cloudy as if it was about to lose consciousness.

Even the monster itself understood that its end was inevitable. As the last resort, it began to gather Mana from its core, making lightning particles swirl and crackle around its body.

Kai also noticed this, retreating a dozen steps to create some distance between himself and the impending blast.

Whoosh...

A beam of pure lightning energy erupted from the Stormclaw's maw and shot towards Kai with blinding speed. Kai had barely a second to react, dodging to the side with a swift leap, narrowly avoiding the devastating blast.

Seeing that its attack missed, the behemoth tried to recuperate and strike again, but Kai was already upon it.

Swish...

With a swift and fluid motion, Kai drove his spear deep into the monster's heart, penetrating through its thick skin and ending its life.

In that final moment, the Stormclaw let out a final, anguished cry before collapsing to the forest floor.

For a moment, everything fell silent.

That was until Kai raised his fist in the air.

"I've finally killed a Viscount Rank monster!"
