After stepping out of the bathroom, she changed into casual clothes. Walking over to the phone, which was already halfway charged, she grabbed it and headed to the dinner table. There, she found some dishes waiting for her.
Lifting the lid of a pot, she discovered a steaming bowl of congee, filling the air with its delicious aroma. Beside it, a plate of freshly made baozi tempted her with their savory pork and fragrant spices.
A small dish held pickled vegetables, adding a tangy crunch to the meal. And there was a pot of hot tea, its rich fragrance mingling with the steam from the food. "Seems like he hasn't been gone for too long," she remarked.
Settling down to eat, she glanced at her phone and noticed three missed calls from Chen. Quickly, she dialed the number.
The call connected swiftly. "Li Na," a familiar voice greeted.
"Lawyer Chen, good day," Li Na responded.
"Good day, Li Na. I called yesterday," Lawyer Chen began.
