"Now leave my sight." The king said. "I have duties to attend now to ensure that the demon lord never finds out about this meeting. Go to the dungeons and flip the switches. That is the only way we will stop him."
"Just like that?" Cassandra yelled out. "You are just going to give me away to this man? Not another word or thought about it?!"
"You should be grateful!" The king said. "This hero has saved you from the perils of the dungeon and the punishment that you rightfully deserve! That being said, I can't very well allow a princess to live in whatever squaller this hero lives in. Give them a deed to a mansion near the palace."
A servant rushed over to hand Joshua the deed. He silently put it into his armor. He then turned and started walking away. Joshua wanted to get out of there before any more drama between the princess and the king occurred. Otherwise he might blow his cover.
