"New Recruit"

Rebel P. O. V

---------------------

After finishing Italian leader, Ryker Romano. I marched straight to my office, situated on the 2nd floor. This floor contains my office and suite only. It was Evan's before, he hasn't worked out the idea of someone going through his business or gang's details and preferred privacy moreover.

I open the spare door to my suite and hop into the second door inside my room which turns out the bathroom. Turning the water on, soon the white glass sink turns red, as I wash my bloodied hands. I washed my face as well and stared at my reflection in the mirror.

I flinched because I couldn't see my face in the mirror but the face of a girl with pale skin, dark brown hair, and grey emotionless eyes. I don't know this girl but I saw her running in a dark alley in my dreams so many times that I lost count. I never recognized her face but the shiny thing in her hands is known to me which she is clutching in her small shaky hands. I can tell she's running from someone, for her dear life.

I closed my eyes shut and tried to escape from one of my horrible nightmares, but no matter how many times I tried it was all futile.  I can't escape from the screams of that little girl still booming in my head. Telling me to,

'Kill them! Kill them! I want to go home... Daddy.'

And just like every other time, I feel the same craving... craving for the bloodshed, for the kill, and desperate for someone to protect me, but who? And from whom?

In frustration and rage, I punched a big wall mirror in front of me, once, twice, and thrice, soon once a beautiful bathroom turned into a disaster room.

White luxurious marble floor glittering with tiny pieces of broken glass and blood, but my rage and frustration haven't eased yet.

Who's she? Why did she pursue my dreams every single night? Who does she want me to kill?

So many questions with no answer available!

I balled my fists ready to break, whatever I got. Don't give a fuck about the blood droplets dripping from my hands or small pieces of broken glass in wounds.

A knock on the door annoyed me.

"What?" I asked loudly enough to scare whoever soul was present on the other side of the door.

"Um- Reb, are you okay?" A voice from another side of the door asked hesitation with clear evidence in it.

Kyle, who else dares to invade my personal space like this moron, I probably forget to lock the trap door in hurry.

"Why are you here?" I asked coldly, despite his reply.

"I hear voices, something broke, I come to check -"  he replied in a matter-of-fact voice, but stopped when I opened the door.

His eyes widened for a second with a view. But he composed himself immediately.

"Come to the office." I ignored his statement and picked a new pair of my special gloves from the closet before walking out to the office with him followed behind.

I stop in my tracks when I notice someone else's presence at my suite's door.

A tall and muscular figure.

A man stood in the middle of my doorway, wearing black ripped jeans, and a white button-up shirt, which was open enough to show a glimpse of a tattoo sliding from the side of his neck to his upper chest. He wore a black biker jacket, and combat brown boots to complete a fighter look.

I shoot him my usual cold glare as examining him, keeping my face emotionless as always, usual look, suit well with my black leather pant,  jacket, dark blue tee-shirt, and black combat boots, to give me a full look of mafia which makes losers peed in pants, but he stays ineffective as staring at my blooded bruised hand with interest.

I cleared my throat before arching my brow at him, to divert his attention from my hands. I don't have to look down to know what he was focusing on. I can feel the flow of energy passing through my body, especially in my hands.

I know there must be tiny sparks shooting from my hands, so I clenched my glove tightly to prevent any more revealing of my gifts. Whenever I hurt myself badly or mostly after my outburst, it's hard to control my powers.

"He's a recruit, one of the best ring fighters as you asked, Xavier." Kyle's informed.

I nod toward the new boy before walking past him to my office, they follow behind.

I sat on my spot on Evan's black and red leather chair behind an enormous black glass desk. Which's mine now with his title also.

Kyle and the new boy stood straight in the middle of the office in front of my desk.

I motioned to my right-hand man to continue with the recruit's profile, whilst I am putting my bloody bruised hands in gloves, not before pulling out as many glass pieces as I can without even batting my eyelashes.

I know it's stupid of me to put on gloves without bandaging my fresh wound and those tiny glass pieces are made it look worst.

But I don't give a damn, neither do I want to harm both of them, nor do I want to expose my powers to them more than I already did accidentally which I doubt they understand. So, that's the best I can do now, precaution is better than a cure right? I can't trust myself with my frustration outburst several minutes ago.

By the time Kyle finished, I grabbed my gun from my table's first shelf and fired two bullets in the new boy's direction.

With years of training, my speed is almost abnormal, you can't even get a chance to react by the time the bullet creates a hole through your heart.

He douches at the right time and stares at me with widened eyes, in shock, confusion, and anger, before turning to look at the back wall where bullets hit the bull's eye, one in the heart and the other in the head middle of the dummy's eyes.

I throw a gun in Xavier's direction, without warning before, but he catches it instantly. Alert. Sharp reflexes. Good. Huh.

"Shoot," I ordered, he was taken aback and arched his brow in a questioning manner before realization hit him.

He fired a shot, and the bullet passed just a slight distance from my hair to straight in the middle of the target, behind me, on the wall.

I gave him another glare before nodding in appreciation. I turned towards Kyle, whilst standing from my seat, and walking out of the office, but not before ordering.

"Get the tortured cell cleared, and release Roman Romano. Deliver him alive with his murderer's brother's body back to his gang as a message. Take this new recruit with you."

I leave my office as I walk toward the training room, I can't control it any longer, I need to give her what she wants, and I have to satisfy this craving...
