Against many enemies

System: If you want to become faster and stronger, you should put more emphasis on endurance, because it increases your stamina.

"Thanks for the tip," Mortis replied and got up to continue walking towards the center. Here there were larger family graves and communal graves. The fog was thicker and Mortis also sensed many more undead now, which made him want to step right into the spirit realm.

Mortis previously walked counterclockwise and now he heads towards the center, as he wanted at least some variety in this desolate place. After only a few meters, there was a large group of twelve ghosts that Mortis felt comfortable with. His ability to hit multiple targets to do more damage was currently his greatest strength.

He jumped right in with "Scythe Whirl" and hit nine spirits, shaking the exoplasm from the soul of five right away. Mortis picked up his legs and kept running. Now he realized how quickly his stamina was dropping, but his goal was just to drive the ghosts to one spot anyway.

He laughed out loud and said to himself in his mind, "I have a system, but the ghosts can also be kited like bots." So he kept running and once enough ghosts were after him, he jumped in with "scythe whirl."

In just 20 minutes, he killed 30 ghosts and almost made another round. Level up. Spread out your SP. Put it all into stamina.

Now Mortis was really looking forward to stepping into the middle. He hoped that the ghosts would continue to be so simple-minded, and of course he wanted lots of enemies. He was intoxicated by the feeling of seeing his stats rise.

Another 15 spirits were redeemed until he completed the round and now stepped into the center area of the graveyard. But before he went any further, he still took a little break to get rid of the stress and relax a bit.

After about 30 minutes, when he felt clear again, he now set out to clear the last area. Nice and leisurely he walked into the middle area of the cemetery, when he thought he was in the wrong movie: in front of him were about 50 skeletons and just as many ghosts.

All of them were standing in front of a crypt and it seemed as if they were getting ready to go into battle. Mortis first took a few steps back to observe the situation closely. He saw a large skeleton in the middle of the horde and a ghost of a different color wearing fancy clothes.

Inwardly, he cursed. "Shit, what do you mean all the quests are doable? Oh, I'll be fine. I just have to make sure that I don't just do the little ones, but with the big enemies, I should make it so that I hit them with 'Scythe Whirl'. Always hitting the bosses with high numbers so they get proper damage will greatly increase my chances of winning."

He slowly crept closer to the crypt as his plan solidified. When Mortis was close enough, he charged into the crowd. Jumping in where it was densest, he spun around once before continuing on to the large skeleton.

He killed 14 skeletons before he got to the boss. In front of him, he performed two punches, but the other creatures were not idle. They were trying to stab him and the ghosts were also casting spells and trying to hit him.Mortis took many a hit and suffered numerous cuts and flesh wounds, but he waited and endured the pain. Seeing how many monsters were standing around the boss, he jumped next to the boss with 'Scythe Whirl' as he made a right turn, hitting 10 enemies before he got to the boss.

The huge behemoth wanted to dodge, but it couldn't because it was still surrounded by its allies. So the boss raised his sword to block Mortis' attack, but it was no use. The blade of the scythe pierced the ribs and spine of the boss, and it made a backward takeoff against its soldiers.

Through the one ability, Mortis redeemed 7 skeletons by killing them with one cut. The boss wasn't defeated yet, but he had already taken a good hit. Mortis' wounds healed and his mana also came back through the souls. So he jumped right back at the boss before it could recover.

Even now, the boss had nothing to oppose, just like the other monsters. Mortis killed 6 skeletons, and the boss took a hit last, buffed by 8 others.

So the boss was smashed in two. Lvl up! Distribute 6 SP.

Mortis quickly looked at his stats, then decided to allocate four points in mana and two points in stamina to the system.

New skill acquired: Spirit Weapon. It creates a physical copy of their scythe from spirit energy, which they can throw up to eight meters in front of them. The scythe cannot be blocked and deals the damage of a swing with the scythe. Cost: 5 mana.

You have completed the quest. As a reward, you reach level 15 and receive a chest plate with a hood that increases your mobility by 6. Would you like to equip it right away?

"Yes, I would like to equip it right away," Mortis said.

He was now wearing a black shirt with a leather vest that had a hood in the back. All the stitching and buttons were silver, and a silver angel with a scythe was embroidered on the back of the vest. Mortis hadn't noticed it yet, though, because he was focused on the enemies.

Mortis was already getting dizzy from all the scything, but he could throw up after clearing that field. So he made his way to the Noble Spirit or whatever that was.

The orange bastard grinned contemptuously at Mortis, which was only met with more contemptuous looks.

Full of zeal, Mortis ran towards the orange ghost, but suddenly jumped not towards it, but into a large cluster of enemies, where he swung his scythe and finished off two skeletons and five ghosts.

He used the ghost weapon by making a white silver scythe appear in his hand and throwing it at an angle at the orange ghost, hitting many other enemies and enraging the dead ones.

Mortis fought some ghosts normally, trying to dodge and wait until enough small fish had gathered around the boss.He received many blows and stabs, but none of them were life-threatening. When he realized that there were enough enemies gathered around the boss, he used "Scythe Whirl" twice, clearing nine ghosts and three skeletons, but the orange one was still on its feet.

This one tried to escape through skeletons, but 2 silver ghost scythes immediately followed him, one of which missed. But the silver blades still finished off 7 skeletons and 4 ghosts.

Slowly but steadily the numbers dropped - what was a horde before was now just a large group of 15 monsters.

The boss seemed to have seen through his plan and kept his distance, even from his entourage. The others continued to attack mindlessly, like what they were.

Mortis tried to reach the orange one and best to overtake it so that he must be inside the others, but it didn't work.

So he just used Ghost Weapon to hit the boss from far away, and Scythe Vortex to keep decimating the group. The orange one had already taken good hits, so he should be able to manage it, even if this one is the last.

The ground was full of bone dust and shattered bones as he finished off the last of the small fish. Now only the orange bastard was left in front of him.

Lvl up. Distribute 6 SP! Distribute them all in agility.

It bugged Mortis that this noble-looking ghost was such a coward. There were only two of them left - why wasn't he trying to fight?

Mortis ran, threw the ghost scythe and kept running. He missed 3 times, but the 4th landed right in his face. Then the redeeming light came, hinting at victory.

No message sounded, which surprised Mortis a bit at first, but the quest was for him to solve the seals. But where was this seal?

He went back to the spirit realm when he noticed that the crypt in the spirit realm was also open and an eerie reddish light was shining out.

Mortis first went back to his pouch to eat and rest. It was evening and getting dark.

Just as he was about to eat, 20 ghosts approached him. Morti was getting ready to fight when they waved him off from a distance. They were good spirits who just wanted to be redeemed.

"When the last light faded and the soul disappeared into his sea of souls, he packed up his things and hid his bag again.

Mortis is now level 16. His Strength is 26 (+3), his Agility is 36 (+9), his Intelligence is 4, his Vitality is 10, his Stamina is 18, his Mana is 30, and his Charisma is 22."
