50. The Witches Part 1

System 0 knocked on the door before he entered the room, he expected Cleopatra to be still asleep but to his surprise she was awake, not only that! She was standing with Seth and Audrey, or what's supposed to be them.

The two were standing still and only turn their heads when Cleo does, everything in them normal until you look into their eyes, Audrey's was fully ocean blue and Seth's was fully brown as the desert's sand, their skin was light as if they're ghosts but they weren't, you can touch them, you can talk to them, but you won't get a respond.

"H- How did y- You?" System 0 asked in shock and frustration.

"I need to level them up, this is why I summoned them and that's why they're like this" she turned to look back at the screen and scroll down through it.

System 0 looked back and forth at her and the two in front of her, his body started trembling and his throat became dry, he took few steps back before he shook his head and opened a gate and escaped, "Earth!? Nature!? Bad- No! Horrible news!!" He yelled to the two but he swallowed back his words and glared at the unwelcomed guests, he gritted his teeth and clearly showed his displeasure for them hoping they'll take their leave, but they didn't.

"Fuck" he mumbled regretting coming there and meeting the witches instead of staying with Cleo and the scary things she's doing.

"System 0?" Nature looked at him innocently getting worried from the way he looks right now, she could see clearly fear, anger, madness and something else indescribable.

"I'll come back when you finish" he mumbled before he opened a gate and left the five alone. When he left the gate, his head started hurting and the view started getting blurry, "shit" he mumbled while opening a screen and searching for a certain name to contact but his hand slipped and he contacted the wrong one.

The one he contacted received the urgent message, 'lack of mana, get me some' the content of the message was, so the person who received it opened their mouth before they closed it and gritted their teeth in displeasure.

System 0 opened his eyes slowly and stared at the ceiling for minutes not knowing what happened and why he suddenly felt dizzy, "seems like there's someone hates you more than I do" he jolted and rose from his bed but he groaned sensing the same painful headache approaching.

"Rest, your mana is still not fully balanced"

"What-"

"You contacted me, don't you remember?" She rose an eyebrow but the shock on his face said enough. She sighed and rubbed the bridge of her nose before she stared back at him, she leaned down at him and looked him straight in the eyes, "who's after you?" She asked her eyes getting colder making System 0 to shiver and his tongue to fold and unable to say a word.

"The sudden lack of mana isn't normal and you know that, and the fact I found a curse graved on this form's heart means it's not a normal type of hatred" she said making System 0's eyes turn big like cups, "curse?" He mumbled and Cleopatra nodded still watching and studying his expressions and moves carefully, "The Witches"

Cleopatra's eyes became wide and her hands started trembling but she gripped them to not expose her, "who?" She asked him with her dark mana eating her body's left side.
