Yulrin Stil

Glancing at her short brown hair and eyes, the girl had quite a pretty face. With a pair of glasses and a beauty mark under her eye she was definitely an eye catcher. "She's got a nice air around her too." Aeon's words were stuck in his head still which prevented him from enjoying the atmosphere she gave off. "Will she be the one or someone else?" Keeping his posture straight Xilo did his best to calm his nerves as he offered her a seat. This was a position he had never been in before, he was always on the other side. "She doesn't seem displeased either." Different from the normal, Xilo did his best and surprisingly it came a lot easier than he initially thought it would.

"I know Katrin said your name before but I'd like to hear you introduce yourself. Is that alright?"

"Sure, my name is Yulrin Stil and I'm thirty years old, it's a pleasure to meet you once more Xilo."

"You as well Yulrin. In case you were unaware of why you were called here, I just wanted to ask you a few questions and get to know you a bit better along with everyone else. No need to stress about it, just be honest and I'll be happy."

Even though he tried to sound natural he still could hear the stiffness. "Seems she doesn't mind." Maybe she was just ignoring it or didn't notice it yet because Yulrin just casually nodded with a smile. "A nice person." Letting some of the nerves disappear Xilo moved on to his first question, the thing he wanted to know the most. He wanted to know everyone's reason without fail on why they were here today joining him. To him nothing else really mattered even if they were a spy for Katrin. It was also the easiest way he could think of to decide who was the rat that Aeon was talking about. Opening up with that question he watched as Yulrin pondered for a moment.

Xilo held his breath as he waited for Yulrin's answer.

"One of Katrin's assistants came to me this morning with an offer. I figured it might be a good chance to change paths so I took it."

Xilo could feel his body deflating as he heard that answer. Sinking his head onto his desk Xilo stared at the wood before his eyes ignoring the awkward air. "Maybe...I should have worded that better." With that failure leading the way, Xilo sat himself up quickly before Yulrin could even react. "Words are hard...." Doing his best to move past it Xilo moved on to different questions for now, he would come back to it later. Aeon listened in from outside as he guarded the two shaking his head. "0 points Xilo." This was also Aeon's chance to get to know Xilo better beyond just information he found out from snooping.

"Hopefully that change works out for you. What are your strengths and weaknesses then? I want to be able to properly make use of your skills."

Tilting her head, Yulrin wondered if she should really be honest or not. "I know he said to be honest..." Looking at the man before who was a lot younger than her, Yulrin was conflicted. She wasn't a very good person in her thirty years of living. "I did some pretty horrible things." Watching Xilo fidget around and tap his hand on the desk while waiting Yulrin took a deep breath. "I accepted Katrin's offer to change, so let's change." Xilo could be the chance for her to finally do some good or at least help others instead of hurt. "Don't disappoint me Xilo." Opening up her heart she admitted the truth of her skills as she felt her heart breaking.

Confused for a moment, Xilo listened closer as he heard Yulrin's short sharp breaths.

"Is she...?"

Then she spoke all at once.

"My strengths are stealing, tracking, torture, infiltration, information gathering and killing. My weaknesses are everything else basically. I'm quite a clutz when I'm not paying attention and have a hard time deciding things for myself. I've been a criminal since I was young and on the streets and have just kind of rolled with it ever since, that was how I survived up until now. I don't really know what you want from me exactly but hopefully I can at least be of use in any way possible."

A bit taken aback by Yulrin's shaking voice and honesty, Xilo tried to collect himself. "I didn't expect that." Out of all the things he thought she might have said it was nowhere near that spectrum. "So she's a criminal or...ex criminal." Saving his judgement for later he asked her a few more questions like what she liked doing or how she would get along with others only to be a bit depressed by her answers. "Does she know how to live?" When she answered what she liked to do she couldn't even come up with an answer even a lie and when he asked how she got along with others she said unless it was for a job horribly. She would get nervous, break things, or just act like a wreck. "This girl is a bit...eccentric." She kept stumbling over her words, changing emotions faster than he could keep up or accidently saying weird things.

"Then let me ask you this again just a bit differently Yulrin. What is it that you hope to achieve by working under me, power, fame or something else. I highly doubt it's the first two so what is it?"

With one deep breath Yulrin kept her answer short and sweet.

"I hope to change, I'm tired of being this mess of a person who only lives hurting others. I've never had the courage to change but…Katrin helped me find some courage I didn't know I had. Hopefully Xilo, I can do that with you."

"Hopefully we can achieve it together then, thank you."

After asking her a few more questions Xilo let her go with a lot to think about. Getting up from his seat he noticed Aeon's presence as he walked outside before he grabbed another person. Standing in the hallway Xilo didn't see Aeon yet he knew he was there. Speaking out loud he waited for Aeon to show himself and sure enough he did. Within seconds Aeon appeared before him and bowed in silence. Not too sure what to say, Xilo watched as Yulrin disappeared from his senses entirely before speaking. That wasn't what he expected at all.

"Aeon...are they all like her?"

"I don't really know what you mean by that Xilo."

"You know exactly what I mean, someone with a history of being a criminal..."

"I can't answer that, it's not my place Xilo. I will ask you this though, does them being former criminals matter to you? Does it change the way you see them? The way you'll treat them and finally the way you trust them?"

Closing his eyes Xilo couldn't see Aeon's expression as he bowed before him, tilting his head upward Xilo turned around and entered his office as his voice trailed off into the wind.

"It doesn't matter, go get the next person."

With a hidden smile Aeon left to grab the next person and with time passing Xilo eventually interviewed almost half of the people Katrin brought to him.

Sorry this one is a bit late

Enjoy.
