Reaching Out

A boy left all alone in the world after being abandoned by his mother in a poor clan that treated him harshly because he started showing signs of being different from other kids and the people around him. With him being ostracized more and more he became less and less of the cheerful young kid he use to be until eventually turning discreet and mute around others in hopes that they would stop being scared of him. Though that plan never worked out for him and, in the end he was left to strive on his own as best as he could in the environment he was left in. He explored the towns library and any books he could find in his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most. "The Basic Guide To The Astral Path" This book may not of been special to anyone in the long run but, it was to him because, it was his new beginning. With this new path available to him would he be able to push through all the obstacles and hardships waiting for him or in the end will he stumble and fall? Or will people be there to catch him if he does once again?

Worth It?

"Were you always like this?"

"What do you mean?"

Sitting next to the King she couldn't relate him at all to the fierceness he had before when they were fighting. He seemed so much more calm and peaceful now which had taken her by surprise quite a bit. "Even as a king, to get so many people together just to try and bring you back to life..." That wasn't something easily achievable by just anyone even with fear driving them. Fear could only take them so far in life and he got all of them to do all that for just him.

"Nothing."

Shaking her head she dropped it while she waited for the King to finish thinking.

"Weird girl...however for you in particular I think I have quite a useful technique for you. I'm sure you'll use it quite well."

Sitting back he leaned against the bench as he stared up in the sky while he began to explain it to Tearia. If he had the power he might have been able to give her some memories but he was too weak and worried about that causing some negative side effects. "It's best this way besides I get to have a little chat before I fade from this world." Searching through his memories he explained every detail he could to Tearia while he enjoyed these quiet times. It had been a very long time since he got to enjoy something like this and he was going to make the most of it.

"Your control is pretty awful from what I've seen so this will give you a way to practice it while also learning something new and simpler. I don't know who taught you before but they rushed you ahead a little too much for your own good. This should help balance you out a little bit and give you another tactic to use as well that can be used with just one hand."

"Eh?"

"I'm not an idiot, so just listen. Your control of Lightning on the inside isn't bad but you're lacking when it exits your body. That needs to be fixed so that's where this comes in handy."

Listening to the King's voice she was reminded of her Grandfather a little bit as he slowly taught her what to do. "Armour eh?" Listening to his explanation she realized he was talking about something similar to the set of armour he had used previously. In a way it was the opposite of what Grandfather taught however it was useful regardless. The King was right, she failed a lot when it came to using Lightning out of her body and this could be quite helpful for a lot of things. "More defenses is never a big thing." Maybe she could ease Xilo's worries a little more like this.

"Xilo, myself. Where Exactly do we fit together."

Taking a deep breath her breasts rose as she let out a quiet sigh as she listened the best she could. This wasn't something she could come across often so she needed to pay attention. Feeling his wounds heal more, Xilo told Marie to focus on Tearia a bit more as he got up and checked on everyone else himself. Without all of them he didn't know what would have happened so checking up on them was the least he could do. "I'll save Felli for last." She was a big priority but she could wait for now. He had a lot he wanted to say to her but at the same time he was sure Tearia wanted to say more.

"She can handle that."

Walking up to Zilan, then the twins, he made sure they were alright and checked on their wounds in place of Marie. He wanted to ease her burden a little bit while she dealt with Tearia as best she could. "I know she's just exhausted but still." It was a little selfish of him however once in a while that was fine. Finding nothing too major on any of them, Xilo was relieved as he turned to Felli who had never stopped staring at him. leaving them to heal he walked up to her as he sat down as he looked at her stomach quietly while time felt like it slowed down.

"..."

Not saying he checked up on her body to make sure she was okay as well. He wanted to say something except he just didn't know where to begin with it. His words got stuck in his throat as he ran his hand over her stomach. "A scar will be left behind otherwise it's healing nicely." Having that worry off his mind he let go of her stomach as he sat next to her for a couple seconds before he laid down. Staring up at the roof as a purple glow lit up the room around him he heard Felli silently speak up.

"I was..reckless."

"Not sorry though?"

"No.."

"Well I'm sure you had your reasons but let me ask you this. Did you at least accomplish them for what it's worth?"

"Not quite yet, that'll still take some time but I got closer."

Listening to Felli speak he didn't know what to think at the moment.

"You know Tearia is pretty upset with you right?"

"I'll take it all, I'm a tough girl."

"Ehh I doubt that."

"What was that?"

"Nothing, just know if you ever feel like talking about it with us, Tearia and I are willing to listen at least, I'm sure."

"...."

With that silence fell over the two of them again as they waited for their wounds to heal. There was nothing else for them to say to each other and they both needed time to heal. What would happen afterwards was entirely up to Felli. Xilo didn't have any say in this matter at all and was fine with whatever she chose. "It's her life." If they went their separate ways so be it. Tearia might be a bit of a different story but he would handle if it came to it. "This has certainly been an interesting trip." Feeling his eyes grow heavier by the second he decided to take a nap.

"Think you got all of that Tearia?"

"Yeah I think so, Thanks for teaching me all this."

"Don't be, this was just your reward for defeating me. My time here is up now, It's time I leave this world and go find my wife wherever she may be."

".....already?."

"If you're sad don't be, I should have been dead long ago. My time in this world is long over. Just a forgotten King."

"What's your name?"

".....It's Tendra, Thank you Tearia for giving this old man one last conversation."

"I didn't do much talking though."

"Sometimes all you have to do is listen to make someone happy."

"I see, well then Tendra, Good bye."

"Farewell to you as well, Good luck with that boy."

Seeing him snicker as he said that she silently watched as he faded from her vision while she waved goodbye.
