Pulling his arm away Xilo tried to run from Laven. His body felt way too weak to muster up any of its strength to free itself. Looking at Laven face to face he stared at his black and brown eye that was lit up. He could feel it stare deep into his soul trying to analyse anything and everything about him. A long straight scar starting from the tip of nose ran all the way up into his eye. His pupil was completely split in half like a deep pit. After that it went up past his eye and hid itself behind his dark black hair. An edge of madness creeped into Laven's handsome face mixing in with the calmness. Close enough to hear his sped up breathing Xilo kept struggling, letting a blade extend from his hand, he sliced right at the Laven's arm that was holding him.
Hitting his arm Xilo expected for it to slice right through his skin and force him to let go. These blades were incredibly sharp and had always shown monstrous strength whenever he used them. "Let go!" Xilo didn't hear any sounds of pain or feel flesh getting torn through. Glancing down Xilo saw his blade harmlessly bounce against Laven's sleeve doing nothing. "How!?" For the first time in his life he had seen the blades he had always feared do absolutely nothing. He couldn't even find the energy to try again as he gaped at such a sight. "Is this because of that World's Energy or whatever?" Having something he was so confident in getting locked down so easily was almost heartbreaking.
"Those blades can't hurt me anymore..."
A soft dejected voice passed in the wind as Laven peered at the midnight black blade. Celestial's power made them nearly useless with this large gap between the two of their strengths. "I don't need to be afraid anymore." Taking a large deep breath Laven pulled Xilo closer while crushing his arm. Locking Xilo in place Laven glanced into the demon's eyes in front of him. There was no more escaping or running for him. One of the demon's that had haunted his memories and sleep had finally been caught. Raising his sword in his free right hand, Laven aimed it right at Xilo's skull. Panicking Xilo brought out a second blade to try again.
"Come on, work, work!"
He knew it was pointless but he had to try anything he could to survive. A second blade didn't change the results though as it hit Laven's arm. Bringing out a third Xilo was hitting his limit before he would lose complete control. "It's still not working." With a third failure Xilo debated going past his limit however that thought quickly stopped. If these blades didn't work why would even more when he couldn't control them to do anything. In the end he could just make the situation a lot worse as well. "I guess for this fight I can't rely on this power." Hiding his blades away he stopped using that power completely as a chill rose in the air. "Astral Energy it is." Ice formed in front of him at an insane speed and blocked the sword from finishing him off.
*Tinkkkk*
Hearing it slam against the ice and stop for a few seconds Xilo felt some relief that something he did worked. "I've only bought time though, nothing more." Laven would very easily break through that barrier. Feeling some of the shackles get lifted from his body Xilo charged up his Ice even more making it stronger. Spreading it like crazy he forced it to go everywhere without thought. As long as it was strong it didn't matter to Xilo, if he didn't he would die. Ice continuously shattered as Laven pushed his sword deeper with more force. "If you think that'll stop me." More strength went into his thrust as his body grew colder, focusing on all that Laven failed to notice his arm holding Xilo get iced over.
"This is my chance."
Feeling his body lose all the weight of those shackles, Xilo felt more free as he covered Laven's body in ice. Once he made sure everything was in place Xilo smiled at the clear ice protecting him and shattered it all at once. A loud crack travelled all around the arena as all that ice broke apart into fragments flying everywhere. Hundreds dug themselves into Laven's body and even Xilo's own but he didn't care. Feeling his body get stabbed by multiple Ice Shards Laven shouted as he lost his grip on his sword and Xilo. Blood leaked out of skin where they all landed on each of their bodies. Xilo had managed to free himself and he even cleared up a lot of the dust that was blocking everyone's vision.
"There you are!"
"Finally, we can see."
Looking down into the pit, Xelfia and the others tried to find Xilo like crazy. Once they heard that loud crack though they all turned and saw the two of them badly cut while bleeding. Jumping down into the pit the girls along with Darin went to Xilo to help him. Tearia quickly checked up on Xilo while Xelfia and Relia attacked Laven. They didn't know what happened but seeing both their conditions they couldn't let Laven's current state go. Water followed Xelfia's claws along with some of Relia's wind to help speed her up. Slashing at Laven's weakened body, Xelfia did her best to take advantage of this moment. Claw marks ripped into his shirt and skin as more blood dripped onto the ground. Followed by a few wind blades that blasted him back a few steps.
"Are you alright Xilo?"
While those two attacked Laven, Tearia and Darin made sure Xilo was okay. Passing him a bit of medicine she had on her, she forced Xilo to drink it while removing some of the shards of ice out of skin. Darin watched Laven carefully ready to set up a defence whenever they needed it. Any stray attacks from him could be the end of Xilo and the rest of them if he wasn't careful. Taking a moment to recover and catch his breath Xilo didn't say anything. He just silently watched as the girls attacked Laven. "I need to help." He didn't have time to heal and regain his composure. This was the moment they needed if they wanted to win.
"Forget about healing me, we all need to attack Laven now, he's weakened."
"Xilo!?!"
Hearing Xilo talk like that, Tearia was worried but she couldn't stop him from running full force at Laven.
"We should listen to him."
Seeing Xilo run off Darin trusted in Xilo's judgement as he followed behind and shortly after Tearia did to with a bit of frustration.
