Timing

"Honestly Xilo, where did you even find a Fire Crystal that big?"

"You know the Astral Zone that showed up a couple of months ago that everyone was excited over? I found it there, If I remember right Felli took a Crystal in similar size for herself as well."

"I didn't hear anything about that yet, something to ask her later. What do you want me to do with this thing?"

Getting all the materials ready Xilo replied casually.

"Just take off a few small chunks, If you use too much there's a possibility we could blow up the entire City."

That was a bit of an exaggeration.

Xilo had originally planned to give this thing to Relia eventually. With her disappearing now that idea was forced to change. Taking out a small knife Aeon wrapped himself in energy as he got closer. "So hot." He had only been in front of it for a few minutes and he was already beginning to sweat. Placing his hand on the Crystal Aeon resisted the urge to pull it back as brought his knife next to the red rock carefully. Concentrating, he guided his knife through the tough Crystal with a bit of resistance. Taking one small piece off Aeon grabbed it before it hit the floor and showed it to Xilo.

"This good enough for you?"

Taking a quick peek, Xilo nodded his head.

"Yeah, that's fine. Just get me a few more. We really shouldn't need too many."

"Alright."

Cutting off more pieces Aeon went to work along with Xilo who was creating the explosives. Once Aeon was done taking everything he needed, he simply gave them to Xilo and watched. He didn't know how to make them himself and didn't want to disturb or slow down the process. Mixing everything together Xilo made sure everything was in order as he finished the first explosive. Once that was done he felt a bit more confident in making the others as time went by. After a couple of hours he managed to finish over six bombs of decent size and one extra bomb he made just in case. Stretching his back, Xilo looked at the time to see it was almost evening.

"Time's almost up."

"Yeah though where did you learn to do this kind of thing?"

"A child with too much freetime and random knowledge can be scary. I only ever created one very small one before. I even set off in my room to make sure no one got hurt. I just ended up hurting myself, I'm pretty sure I almost broke my arm. No one noticed though or even cared at the time."

Shurgging his shoulder Xilo thought back on how stupid that was to even try.

"Fair, I know I had my fair share of doing stupid things when I was young. Just try not to replicate that again this time, alright."

"Don't worry, I'll be fine. These are only meant to hurt Delfex and his men. Did you hire those people I asked you to as well?"

"Yeah, they're waiting by the front of the Castle. What do you want me to tell them?"

"Nothing for now, follow me. I want to give this a test just in case."

"Alright."

Heading out to the courtyard Xilo took the extra one he made and placed it on the ground. Aeon put a barrier over top of it quickly as Xilo studied it. "This thing is radiating energy." Without barriers around them Delfex would probably sense each one. Which means they would have to time it very precisely if they wanted everything to go right. "That might be a bit tricky." Making sure Aeon was prepared, Xilo lit up a small match. A fire appeared in his hand that he chucked towards the explosive after walking out of the barrier. Bracing himself Xilo made an extra barrier around Aeon's just in case. One second passed with nothing happening then another until the flame crawled its way along the surface.

In a moment it ignited the Astral Energy inside of it, setting it on fire. A very loud popping sound echoed through the area before another loud noise followed. Flinching at the sound, Xilo felt the ground shake around them as the explosion tore away at the ground underneath it and Aeon's barrier. Cracks started to form in his barrier as it threatened to shatter into pieces. Aeon managed to hold on though as it passed quickly. Once the explosion had calmed down Aeon let out a breath of relief as he looked at the hole they had created. "Someone will need to fix that later." Impressed with the damage it did Xilo nodded in approval.

"Good, it worked like I hoped. Aeon I want you to go out and set these all up where I tell you. Once you're done, we just need to wait for Delfex to show up."

"I'm on it."

Taking his leave, he left Xilo all by himself. Staring at the hole he created, Xilo went to get one of the Castle maids to fix it while time passed by. Eventually night came again as Xilo went to sleep. All of their preparations were finally complete and just in time. "I'm not forgetting anything am I?" Doing a once over in his head one more time he made sure. Not finding anything missing Xilo walked up the steps to his room with the girls behind him when he heard an extra step coming towards them. "Hmmm?" Coming around the corner quickly the person was breathing heavily as Xilo turned around. It was one of his the people he had sent out with Keld.

"He's...here...Delfex has arrived."

Short of breath he pushed that out as the boy stared at his leader Xilo.

Hearing those words Xilo felt a shiver go down as his spine as he woke up instantly, If Delfex was here then it was time for them to fight.

"He arrived early."

Enjoy.
