The Wolves Downfall

"We did warn you."

"Heh, sure."

Smashing his hand down as the man flew past him after missing his attack, he smashed his arm straight into the wolf's back forcing him into the ground. "That should do it for him." Looking at the man laying on the ground unmoving Xilo put all his focus on the leader of their group as he kicked aside the man below him. "Seems to be near the Crescent Stage." Which means Xilo would have to be careful in case he really had hit the Fifth Stage. throwing an ice dagger forward he grabbed his Astral Dagger in replacement of it while the man was distracted and began to run towards him. However with the size of the man's sword his ice dagger was tiny in comparison and was easily shrugged off with a casual block from him as he repositioned himself.

"Well that didn't work." Seeing that fail so easy Xilo felt a little saddened by that but he still tried to attack again. Approaching him he quickly jumped to the side to avoid his giant sword and instantly went for his arm as his speed even surprised him this time around. So many things he wasn't used to all of a sudden had happened in this fight and it was taking Xilo some to adjust, after all this was one of his first proper fights ever since hitting the fourth stage himself so it took some getting used to especially since his Path's had opened up now increasing his discomfort for now. Change was hard for anyone and even more so when so much of it came flying at someone all at once and currently Xilo was trying to deal with that to the best of his ability and unfortunately such things were causing differences from before which resulted in him completely missing his opponents arm the first swing around thanks to the decent increase in speed that he wasn't ready for.

"That's what I get for being lazy the whole way here." He might have been able to avoid such things if he trained at all on his journey here but he just wasn't in the mindset at the time and now he was paying the consequences. At least with his speed now he was able to try again before the man could even turn around and block. "If not I might be the one with a sword in their back..." Spinning around he continued his slash and aimed right as the man's back with his ice dagger and dug straight into him as he forced it into his skin before slashing his Astral Dagger across his skin. "He's quite durable." However even with that the man didn't flinch as he felt a backswing coming straight for him and nailed him right in the face due to not expecting it.

"That hurt..."

Feeling his jaw crack a bit as he rubbed his cheek, Xilo stared at the man slowly as he turned around barely flinching. "With durability like that he's gotta be a Defense Path right...though he still hits quite hard even given that." Feeling the pain linger he watched as the man raised his sword with speed he found a little hard to believe for his size and strike at him before he could feel the pain heal. Swinging Down the man made sure the boy couldn't escape or enter the room he was just in as he slowly pushed him into a corner after taking that last blow. "He's a fast little bugger..must be speed." He truthfully wasn't expecting that speed from Xilo but now that he knew about it he wouldn't let it surprise him again.

"Take this!."

Grunting that with all his might that he could muster he slammed his heavy sword straight where the boy was. "Dodge this." Imbuing some of his earth Element into his attack he slammed the ground in front of Xilo and launched forth some of the earth. unfortunately due to the environment they were currently in it wasn't nearly as effective as it usually was for him. Watching a pile of earth rise up from the ground and attack him, Xilo casually jumped to the side due to it's slow speed. "Uh...." Not quite knowing to feel about that he went forward and aimed right for his opponent's neck this time. "It doesn't matter how strong your defenses are if you can't breath." Since his back area didn't work last time then he would just aim for a more vital point even if it meant killing the man. He wasn't too concerned about the outcome anymore.

Digging his sword up from the ground the man tried to quickly pull his sword out but that was his fatal mistake. Since he refused to drop his sword and let go of it Xilo was easily able to close the distance with him and slash at his neck without any trouble. Slightly Stunned he felt his neck slip open as blood started to seep down his chest while panic set in but it was too late, he was already struggling to breath as he began choking before his eyes shut and dropped like a pile of rocks to the ground shortly after unable to do anything but slowly die.

"I....."

Looking at the blood on his blade Xilo didn't know what to think as he turned around and looked at the two men on the ground still alive and walked over to them. "Sorry..." Stabbing both of them he made sure they were all dead as he walked off into the room the man was just in before. "Well let's hope whatever you were trying to defend was worth it." Not wanting to think about what just happened he explored the room. He needed a distraction badly right now and he would take anything he could get. "..." Shutting the door behind him he began looking around.

*Bang*

"Where are we going now."

Holding the book in her arm Tearia shoved it in her bag on her shoulders as she heard that question being asked by one of the girls. Unfortunately here she couldn't very easily use her necklace that her Grandfather gave her or else it could spell bad consequences for her, so she was forced to carry around some random bag she found at a store on the way here that was left over after all the others had been taken by people trying to explore this place.

"We'll be heading upstairs. It seems a lot of people are exploring the lower levels already so we'll probably find some things up there, Hopefully."

hearing Lexi's reply Tearia followed along in the back of their crowd and watched everyone she passed by.

Enjoy.
