Leaked

Blood began to soak the floor as Landel dragged everyone else out of the room with no more interruptions. He knew about Lexia's plan to attack him tonight so he wanted to snuff that idea out as fast as possible. "She's been getting along with these people." Which meant they would make good hostages to force her surrender without much trouble. Then he could take everyone that joined her side and create a bigger army to fight against Cestrin. All thanks to a random stroke of luck he had when he was hiring some mercenaries nearby. Throwing everyone into a cage Landel directed the people he had brought with him to follow.

"Lexia planned her own downfall with this. Now all we have to do is wait for them to come right to my doorstep. We'll crush them all out once and destroy any hope they had in one swift go. I'm interested in how quickly they'll give up when they see the gift I have for them...or if Lexia will even care. Meh, no matter the outcome it's my win."

Landel had already reached the point of no return, willing to do anything to get his way.

"Rana..."

Tearia's voice leaked out softly as the world around her disappeared. She was absolutely useless and there wasn't a thing she could do. The chains around her binded her body along with all of her energy as she felt sleep come to her. The cages filled up with more people as they were brought to Landel's Castle all together. Without Xilo or Lexia having any sort of idea of what was happening. Xilo had left behind quite a few bodyguards to protect Tearia, he never thought Landel would have gone himself or knew what they were doing. So Xilo continued to fight, thinking everything was perfectly okay and things were going smoothly.

After leaving the sewer he had found his target without much problem. He had quickly overrun the place and captured everyone without a single casualty. "Going smoothly." Wiping the dirt off his hands, Xilo headed to the next target with everyone behind him. They had a lot more to go through before the night ended. "At this pace we'll finish on time." He was quite happy with the results so far as they got to their next location. Breaking in, Xilo took the lead as he pinned two guards to the ground and sent out a wave of ice to take down more. Everyone rushed behind him to deal with everyone else as he tied up the people he knocked out.

"Another one will be done shortly at this rate."

Throwing them inside the cage with the rest Xilo felt a wave of power sweep by. "Looks like the leaders are here." Looking over the battlefield that was the house, Xilo shouted at everyone to fall back as a rush of power came outside. A few soldiers ate dirt as they were flung out the door with an older woman. Sending a few people to take care of them Xilo stepped forward. She was certainly stronger than everyone else here, just not strong enough to stop him. A dagger surfaced in his hand coated in darkness along with another one that he kept out in the open.

Without a word he rushed in front of her using the Dagger that had zero darkness in it. Taking her sword she instantly fell for the bait as she went to block his attack. "Got you." Unable to sense the second blade Xilo duh it into the side of her stomach as a flash of surprise crossed her face. she tried to struggle a bit except it wasn't enough as he sent her to the ground with a kick. Her back bashed against the pavement underneath as she passed out. Reaching down, he grabbed her hands and tied them up and put her with all the rest. With her done for, everyone else here would be easy to handle.

"Alright, finish up here and let's get going. We still got a ton more to get through. No slacking and remember to keep them alive."

Spending a bit more time, the soldiers made quick work of everyone and they left. Along the way though Xilo sensed a presence coming right for them. "Do they know?" Halting his group Xilo put his defence up. Whoever it was, they were close and coming fast. Turning around a corner Xilo saw a small group of people running right at him that he recognized. There were a few soldiers from Felli's group with some others. "Huh, what are they doing here?" Letting everyone know that it was fine, Xilo ran to them. They stopped in front of him almost completely out of breath as they struggled to breathe properly.

"Whoa, take a minute to rest. What's got you all in so much hurry?"

"We-we..we, we didn't find anyone at the location we were sent to. Felli told us to come find you as fast as possible. Along the way we found some others who had also experienced the same thing as us."

"No one at the Clan's you were sent to? Hmmm, once just could just be a fluke but if you all have the same story then it's quite strange. What is Felli and everyone else doing right now?"

"They were headed to the next designated location. They should be there by now."

"Alright, report back to them and tell them to come meet up with us as soon as possible. As much as I'd like for us to all split up to cover more ground, I won't risk it. We'll be a bit slower but much safer. Landel might be on to our little scheme if that's the case."

Giving them some water Xilo sent them off and returned to his group.

"How did he figure it out though?"

Scratching his chin, he had no idea how they could have known. Everyone here was just told about their plan recently so there wasn't time to leak information. "Just be on guard." Telling that to everyone they went to the next location on schedule. Sadly, Xilo met the exact scenario those messengers were just talking about with his own eyes. Checking the entire place they didn't find a single person or presence anywhere near the place. "This isn't good." A worry was growing inside of him that he couldn't shake. Leaving instantly he went to go find everyone else before anything could happen.

"Come on..."

Enjoy.
