Fighting back and forth continuously attacking the monkey in front of her Tearia was finally starting to make some progress towards defeating her opponent. "Though I need to hurry up." If she couldn't speed up her fight though it would eventually end up with her on the losing end. With each second that passed by she was slowly losing control of the energy she was controlling. After each punch it would flare up on her hands and she would have to forcefully put the reins on it or else it would go berserk and in the worst case scenario break the bones in her hands into pieces. Her grandmother had taught her the technique when she had first gotten to the Transformation Stage but Tearia didn't have the time nor the care to proficiently learn it and it was most likely coming back to bite her in the butt at this moment.
A couple of minutes had finally passed since she started using it and her control was still continuing to get worse and worse as the fight lingered on however she was finally close to beating her opponent. If a part of her still didn't want to show off most likely she wouldn't even of been in this situation in the first place but all she could was fight feeling the two pairs of eyes on her back watching her closely. "Xilo.." If she was alone she would have run away already or not even bothered to start the fight but her pride got in the way and now it was too late. Watching the Monkey stagger after landing her previous blow she knew this was probably her final chance at landing a one good last punch. Whether it would defeat it or she lost control afterwards was another story. Thankfully she didn't have to worry about her life with Xelfia there which helped ease the fear.
Cutting off the Wind Element on her right hand she fully concentrated on her left hand to bring out the most power that was currently possible. Her fist was surrounded in raging winds that barely could be contained. It surprised her seeing them so enraged while they were still under her control. She even thought she saw sparks of lightning for a second that reminded her of a raging thunderstorm just without the water but she brushed it off as her imagination. Gaining some confidence with that thought she didn't relent after staggering the monkey and fiercely punched the leader in it's gut as she brought her leg up at it afterwards and swiftly kicked it to the side and watched it skirt across the grass for a little bit before eventually stopping and no longer moving.
*Snap*
"OW."
A short yelp escaped her mouth when she heard that sound but she ignored it for now as she cautiously watched to see if the monkey would get back up once again. But even after some time had passed it still wasn't moving. Sighing with some relief she walked up to with some caution and made sure it was dead. Kicking it around a couple of times with still nothing happening she was finally assured that it was dead.
"Harder than I thought it would be, Damn beast."
Saying that under her ragged tired breath she turned around to where Xilo and Xelfia stood a little bit back and meekly smiled as she started to walk back to them. Halfway through though Xilo started
walking in her direction. Assuming he was coming to help her she felt a little happy inside until she watched him walk straight past her towards the monkey's corpse. Turning around and staring blankly at that she watched as he bent down over the corpse and ripped a hunk of it's flesh off and put it into his pockets then walked back towards her.
"Huh?"
Confused at why he was doing such a thing and even more so why he didn't help her she watched as he slowly walked past her again back to his original spot all without moving herself. Maybe to stunned or just thinking he wanted to do something with that meat she didn't question it as she finally woke up and continued her walk to them. However she was a little grumpy now. Truthfully Xilo wanted to check on her and see if it was okay but when he started moving he panicked and quickly came up with grabbing the Astral Beast's flesh as an excuse to himself in the end. "Pathetic." Thinking that he slowly returned to Xelfia's side and faced Tearia. Gaining some confidence back by her side he congratulated her.
"Good job, Thought you would need some help."
His voice entered her ears as she slowly regained some of her energy. While she still felt some pain in her hand it had gotten a lot better then when she first felt it so she figured she just bruised it and ignored it. She could have her grandmother look at it later anyways since she was a pretty good doctor from her knowledge. Though she never saw her treating other patients ever though but with her grandmother's attitude she never brought it up.
"Hehe A piece of cake for me. I didn't even break a sweat."
With a weak smile she tried to appear less affected then she was but that didn't fool either of them.
"If you want we can take a break we can or you can stop fighting if you want while we continue."
"No!"
Panicking hearing that she answered as quickly as she could muster in hopes of showing she was ok. Even though she wasn't in the slightest she couldn't let go of this opportunity to spend time with Xilo. "Who knows when my next chance will be?" With that thought in mind she stubbornly stuck to her guns.
"Are you sure?"
Doubtful about her well being he didn't want to push her so he asked just in case.
"Yes, yes just give me a couple of minutes to catch my breath that's all."
"If you say so."
"If she says fine, then let her. We can help her still in case anything happens."
Frustrated hearing Xeflia trying to treat her like a kid she bit her lip slightly as she continued to take a breather.
