Filling In The Blanks

Xilo thought at first that Xelfia might have been worried over something he couldn't exactly answer at first but he ended up pleasantly surprised. "Though that doesn't mean I'm an expert on the subject either." But he was at least confident in giving a better general idea to help her understand and hopefully clear up some of her confusion itself. "Still a little awkward to talk about though." with a small chuckle to himself he was finally able to calm himself down and ease his nerves finally.

"So that's it huh."

"That's it?"

Xelfia was confused at why he suddenly seemingly deflated but she still waited for him to continue.

"Nothing, so you wanted to know what love is. I'm probably not the best to ask such things honestly but I'll try my best."

"Is it that difficult to explain?"

She knew Xilo had a good deal of knowledge about stories and other small bits of information from all the times he had been teaching her on their journey to Belturn. In fact you could almost say he was her guide along the whole way whenever she didn't know something herself like different flower types or what buildings were called but while doing that he had almost seemed so confident with his speaking. To her it was a first to see him so hesitant on something vocally when it came to her questions.

"It's not difficult per say, Just..Well I'll explain it a little bit and you'll see."

"alright."

"Loving someone is generally feeling a great deal of attachment towards another person which entails feelings of happiness being around them, sadness more then normal for that person and just generally wanting to spend time and being with that person. Also people have tended to describe it as a more Fuzzy feeling that can make your heart race as well. At least that's what I've read from books..."

Quickly saying took quite a bit more effort then Xilo thought it would be. "A lot more embarrassing than I thought too." Reading about it he thought it would have been easy to explain and say to another but now that he'd actually said out loud to another person he found out he thought completely wrong. "Hopefully it helps though." He didn't care too much if his explanation wasn't perfect. all that mattered to he was to help convey the basis of what it was and let her figure it out on her own.

"Also, It can be applied in many different forms and it can be different for everyone. that's why it's difficult."

"From what you've read in books? Why put it like that?"

Puzzled at why Xilo put it like that Xelfia asked a question that in retrospect was quite an obvious answer. With a slight sigh Xilo still answered though.

"I mean it's not like I've experienced it myself you know, I can only tell you what I've read from others in books or whatever I've heard in passing."

"Hmm....I see..."

Taking a second to repeat Xilo's words over and over in her head she slowly began to have an understanding of what had been troubling her for a little bit now. "So basically that girl liked Xilo?" Though she was still a little confused at why she would say that to him then and what was the point of confessing.

"So what comes from loving someone then?

"Well if the other accepts then you become a couple or a pair."

She had heard that word before but it took her a second to remember where it came from previously.

"Couples?"

Knowing that question was coming Xilo was more prepared this time around.

"When two people love each other they become a pair with each other and form a bond of sorts."

"So she wanted to form a bond with you?"

With some annoyance in her voice Xelfia was finally finding a place and a reason as to why she had felt such emotions that day and also figuring out her other emotions and where they came from. "Don't I love Xilo?" Thinking back on all the past emotions she had felt being beside him and all the unknowns she felt at the time she started to link those emotions towards love. That thought slowly started to solidify more and more in her mind the more she heard from Xilo and the more confident that her thoughts were correct.

"Hmm,,If we're talking about her then I don't know honestly?"

"Why, not?"

"generally people just don't do the things she had done like confessing at the first sight of someone."

"Makes sense."

"Yes, But that's where the different applications of love for different people probably come into play. For her that is her love and how she feels it probably."

"I think I understand why you said it could be difficult now, Haha."

Still a little at a loss with his answer that's all Xelfia could do to reply.

"You got that right."

Finally she figured out some of the answers she was looking for. She was finally feeling more like herself again and even better than before it seemed. Especially since she finally found the words to describe what she had been feeling more and more the last couple weeks she had spent travelling with XIlo.

"So is that all you wanted to know then? any other questions?"

Xilo seeing she had finished thinking about what he had told her asked just in case she had anything else to ask because well he hadn't fully explained what comes from someone being in a relationship he had at least given her the ground works now but if she wanted to know even more she could still ask away.

"Well now that I know this now. It makes me think of all the things that we've been doing lately and it makes me wonder Xilo, Do we love each other?"

He was ready for almost anything but that.

"Hey XIlo,"

"..."

"I think I love you."
