A Little Different Then She Imagined.

*Rahhh*

With that the Rock Beast backed off emitting the same cry as it's friend after getting hit. Xilo was gaining some confidence now that he had hit two of the four beasts without taking too much damage himself. "Could I Kill one?" Maybe if he spent enough time attacking one in particular he could but by that point Xelfia would here however if he got a couple more blows in our their wings he could probably destroy that part or at least render them unable to fly anymore which would help Xelfia quite a bit.

"That could work."

Checking over himself he made sure his injuries weren't too heavy before he started trying though. But besides a light stinging in his arms he didn't feel much of anything else. Xilo knew he told himself not to act stupid but neither him nor Xelfia could fly and if those rock beasts decided to fly constantly then they would be both be in for a tough time regardless so taking this chance was worth it. Waiting in place he ignored the itching part of him that begged to charge in and attack and stood his ground waiting for the same opportunity to come once again and after a couple of seconds it happened just like he hoped.

While the two injured ones sat back the other two came at him again like clockwork. But the suffocation he felt near the beginning was no longer there as he waited for the right moment and to be even more sure of himself he created some ice to help. As fast as he could he created two circular sheets of ice that went around his arm where he took the brunt of the impact. they were brittle and quickly made though so they would probably break after one use but at least they could absorb some of the impact for him. A little extra protection couldn't hurt especially when he noticed every time he used his ice the process was getting faster and smoother. So this could also be counted as a bit of practice as well and something for him to train in the future.

Putting them on just in time he faced the two jumping at him and chose the one on the left. Dodging to the side a little he waited for its wing to extend and attack him. Seeing it unfold itself Xilo watched the process where it extended and flew at him without the beast even turning around. Holding his arm out he waited for it to collide and got ready to attack.

*Rumble*

With the sound of rocks breaking Xilo heard the faint sound of his ice cracking as he attacked and left another crack in the Rock Beasts wing. Pushing his luck though he rushed to the other beasts in hopes of catching it off guard in its moment of dull movement and ignored the large figure in front of him and slipped towards the one furthest away and attacked it's wing from the side.

*Crack*

Feeling himself actually connect his attack again, surprise flashed through him as he wondered why it worked. It was a gamble to see whether or not he could but he hadn't had any hope of it actually working. But now each rock beasts had at least a crack in them so far. Backing off with excitement Xilo looked at the Shadow in the back wondering if it would do anything yet while his companions withered in pain in front of it but it still hadn't done anything besides stare blankly at him. "It's unnerving somehow." Along with how the Shadow acted and how these Rock Beasts were acting Xilo felt something was strange but he couldn't quite put it to words what that feeling was but he had no more time to think about it as he watched the other two attack again.

"They never do anything different do they, but why?"

Seeing the same pattern he sighed but at least it helped him as he began to repeat the process over again. As time flowed in their dark little cavern the sounds of different rocks breaking sounded constantly throughout the area as XIlo continued breaking their wings while Xelfia made an exit for herself to run through and eventually the sound of one of them stopped as Xelfia finally broke the last rock standing in her way.

"Finally..Ha,ha."

Breathing slightly heavily after all that work Xelfia knew she was going to need some time to take a break after this was over but now wasn't the time to do so. She had to help Xilo who was out there fighting for his life to buy her time. "Hurry!" She had spent so much time in here already worrying about him that it almost made her a little crazy. Rushing out the door she made herself, she entered the cavern Xilo was supposed to be in. Taking a second to adjust to the new environment Xelfia was soon in for the sight of her lifetime when she could finally see the sight in front of her. Standing there almost jaw agape she stared blankly ahead.

"Isn't this..."

In her sight was a white haired boy who ran in between two strange beasts made of rock as he defended their attacks breathlessly and easily counter attacked as he lightly threw himself in to the next one to repeat the same process over again as another large cracking sound echoed in her ears. Watching him fight creatures that were supposed to be stronger than him with such ease and confidence Xelfia almost didn't know what to say as she stood there too shocked to move. She knew he was stronger then normal but this was something else. He was in complete control of the flow at the moment and it was something to witness.

"Bullying?"

Yes this sight reminded her of an adult picking on the weak and she almost couldn't stop herself from laughing as she watched two sets of wings shatter into pieces on Xilo's last attack. Now presumably all winged beasts were now mostly wingless. "Well It's better than him being on the other end." Unable to stop herself anymore she laughed lightly as if she forgot the situation she was in and that was when Xilo finally noticed her presence. Hearing familiar laughter his concentration broke as he turned to see Xelfia standing a little ways away from him laughing. "What's so funny?" Backing off from his attackers he made his way to Xelfia slightly confused at her laughter.

"I could use your help you know?"

Standing next to her, his own guard was at the max while he stared at the four Rock Beasts withering in pain and the Shadow in the corner. Hearing his comment she couldn't help herself but laugh even harder.

"Are you sure about that because I think you're fine on your own from the looks of it. Haha."

"No I can't even finish them off so I'll need your help."

Hearing his serious voice Xelfia calmed down a little but she still didn't see the problem with the situation.

"And why's that, you looked fine just a second ago?"

"Because they dodge with their wings........"

And then it dawned on him as he stared at the four beasts that no longer had any wings on them any more as they all withered in pain. Sensing his own mistake and stupidity his cheeks turned hot as they turned red while embarrassment filled his body and tension left it. Listening to his sentence and noticing his expression Xelfia caught onto something as she looked at the beast as well.

"Their wings eh? I'm sure they're pretty annoying right?"

"..."

"Hahaha, Alright I'll handle it now, you're probably tired anyways."

Done teasing Xilo she walked towards the now pathetic Beasts that Xilo had a mess of and crushed all of them one by one into tiny little pieces of rocks. Within seconds there was no longer any sign of them anymore. Turning towards Xilo with a smug smile she beamed.

"There, they're all gone now."

"No there's one more."

"Hmm?"

Pointing towards the Shadow in the corner that finally showed a change Xelfia turned her head as she finally noticed it herself.

"That..."

Sorry this was a little late. :c
