Walking back to their inn, Xilo's group talked about some ideas back and forth. Bouncing around topics they tried to figure out what other ideas they could do before jumping to something else once they realized nothing else seemed to be as good. Eventually they talked long enough to wander upon the Inn they had chosen. Walking inside they went up to their room and sat down to take a break. Letting Tearia get to work the three of them along with their new fox friend thought about what to do until then.
"Could always do some training."
"..Relaxing..."
"Both such different opinions haha, I think after getting flung around like ragdolls a break is still best for now. I know you two helped break our fall a lot but it's still probably hurting a bit. We'll wait until then alright?"
"Fine."
Seeing Xilo agree with her, Relia felt a small burst of happiness as she suppressed a smile. Petting Kirel who was currently sitting at her side she watched as Xelfia grabbed Xilo's hand. "Hmmm." Ignoring the slight discomfort she felt at the sight she stayed where she was as she tried to pay attention to Tearia instead. Usually she would go to a more private room where she could work alone in silence but this time they didn't really have a choice. "So careful." Each ingredient she took out was handled with incredible care that was unexpected coming from Tearia. "Even while this tired." Compared to the bold girl she had met long ago it was quite a different sight.
"What's up Relia?"
Looking up from her preparation Tearia noticed Relia's stare.
"..It's nothing...sorry."
"Oh, okay then, no need to be sorry though. If you want to talk with me just ask or even watch."
"...okay..."
Going back to work Tearia felt her body sway a little bit. Catching herself she tried to keep herself under control as she continued. Looking up she made sure no one caught her mistake before getting back to work. Once all of her preparation was complete she started to get work just like all the other times. At this point it had become almost natural to her so she had that to help out. "I'm almost at the next stage as well." She could feel her energy pushing that barrier that she hadn't met before. Just a little more pushing and she would break through. She even had a lot more control outside of her body now compared to before.
"This has helped a lot however..."
Feeling her version go dark she did her best to concentrate. She had no idea if she really could last a couple more hours at this rate. She had to try regardless, if not then that could potentially be more deaths. "It finally feels like I found a goal." That thought was the one thing that kept her going. Without it she didn't know if she ever could have made it this far. "On to the next step." Letting time drip and burn away like the ingredients in her pot she continued to work. Staying silent the rest of them enjoyed the silent atmosphere while they healed.
"I think it was this way?"
Following a faint trail of Astral Energy, Relda walked through the streets looking for that group of kids. There was something itching at her mind that she couldn't get rid of without asking them. So far though she had no luck in finding them and with the lack of people around it was hard to ask anyone if they had seen them. The few people she had been able to ask gave her nothing as well. Turning around a corner she looked into an alleyway as a giant web of vines floated in the air. "I guess this was them." With her Astral Energy not going any further and this safety net of vines she had a pretty good idea this was where they landed.
"Seems they have left here already. Surely someone around here has seen them right."
She tried feeling around for their energy traces but she didn't find anything beyond the vines' small trail that shortly got cut off. "Weird but whatever." Usually no one could completely get rid of traces of energy but this small group managed to. After exploring the alleyway a little more she exited it as she looked for any people. Luckily she spotted someone nearby fairly quickly. Rushing up to them she showed her Clan's symbol of proof as she asked them a question. "Yes!" This time around she managed to get an answer from someone as she followed the direction they pointed in. With time she eventually found another as the pattern repeated, leaving her to follow a trail.
With a little bit of walking around and asking people questions when she could, Relda eventually arrived at an Inn that wasn't too far from where she flung them.
"I guess this is where they're staying. Time to pay them a visit."
Stepping inside she went up to the front desk. Asking the person there about the people who had recently arrived he quickly shook his head denying anything. Rolling her eyes she didn't have the patience to deal with such things as she brought out the Soaring Blades Symbol. Once he saw that he instantly changed attitudes as he confirmed her question.
"Thanks."
Leaving like that she walked up the stairs as she found their room number and knocked on the door. Waiting a minute she heard the sounds of movement as a familiar face answered the door. Looking down at the boy she had seen before she smiled at him. He didn't share the same feelings though as he took his weapon out from his necklace. "Oh, that's new." Looking at the blade of Ice that she didn't see before she assumed he was getting more serious this time. Since she wasn't here to fight this time though she simply put her hand up.
"I'm not here to fight this time, so do you mind putting the weapon down."
"You didn't listen to us before, so why should we listen to you this time?"
"Because I want to ask you something."
Showing the piece of paper she found earlier that he dropped, Xilo froze at the sight.
