32nd Date: A New Enemy! The Mysterious Stranger!

"I want this to be a surprise so you'll have to wear a blindfold until we get there.", I requested

"Sure. I love surprises.", Cynthia replied.

*Put blindfold over her eyes*

15 minutes later...

*Remove blindfold*

"You can open your eyes now", I said

*Gasped* "This is so beautiful. Did you do all this for me?", Cynthia said in excitement.

"This is our first date, so I want to make it memorable for you.", I smiled.

Without saying anything, Cynthia ran toward my direction and gave me a hug. I didn't know that she would react this way so I'm also a little surprise as well, but hey its been a while since someone hug me for once, so I embrace her back.

This feeling and warmth, it felt just like back then. I don't want to let go.

Oh wait, this is no time to daze off and rewind those memories! Retrieving the fragment is the priority here.

I saw a light from her chest started to get brighter and brighter. This is it, the fragment is starting to react to Cynthia's feelings. I'm almost there.

Even though I've alternated the past and change my future, I can't believe the same ideal date ,that I took her to in my last life, still work on her just like the beginning.

I have to admit one thing though. This decorations is beautiful, but cringe as hell. It looks like it just came out of a romance-theme K-drama. With all the lights, flowers, music playing, and butterfly everywhere, it definitely looks like something you only see in fictional stories.

I place my hands on her shoulders and gently push her away. I look directly into her brown eyes and slowly move my head closer and closer to her until our lips finally touched.

It was at that moment that a beam of light left her body and float in the sky.

*Cynthia Fainted*

That glittering light was a fragment of Rebecca's soul.

Old man, can I just jump up and catch the fragment?

*Absolutely not. The moment you touched the fragment with your hands, it will automatically burst due to it being weak when outside of the host body.*

What should I do then?

*Open up one of your hands and imagine that a black hole, made of your Qi, is forming above your palm.*

I follow his direction and concentrate my Qi into my palm while imagining a black hole forming.

As expected, a small black hole appear above my palm.

*Now imagine that it is sucking in the fragment. This black hole serve as another dimension ,made from your Qi, that can preserve anything in it in the same condition that the object has at the time it is suck in.*

I raise my hand at the direction of the fragment and started to suck it into the black hole.

When it is about to get fully sucked into the black hole, I heard a mysterious voice coming from the tree behind me.

The stranger was wearing a dark-red robe and a demon mask with a symbol of Beelzebub on its forehead. The symbol also appear on his shoulders and chests as well.

"It seems like you are about to successfully retrieve the first fragment, but it wouldn't be any fun if it is that easy. Consider this a gift for our first meeting.", The stranger said as he threw a black diamond-shape object ,with a strange symbol engrave on it, at the soul fragment.

As it touched the fragment, it burst out a dark fog and eats up the fragment. After fully eaten up the fragment, the black fog started to transform into a humanoid-like monster with a head of a buffalo with a horn growing near its nostril. It has a dragon-head as a left arm and its right arm is a T-rex arm. There are also snakes coming off each parts of its body. It whole body was covering in cracks as if it is a fragile object that is starting to break down. The strange symbol also appears around it waist.

"What the hell did you do to the fragment!?", I yelled at the stranger.

"Oh it's nothing really. I just gave it a little upgrade so we could have a little fun.", He said.

*Kid this is not the time to argue with the mysterious dude over there. It seems that the diamond that he threw at the soul fragment has causes it to manifest into a soul demon beast. If we don't turn it back into a soul fragment soon, then the fragment will get destroyed forever.*

What's a soul demon beast?

*Every human has their own negative emotions such as desire, greed, envy, etc. These emotions/feelings causes their soul to gave birth to a monster inside their soul. The more negative emotions/feelings the person has, the bigger the monster will grow. When it is strong enough, the monster will be able to take over the host soul and manifest from the host body into the real world. These creatures are known as soul demon beast.*

Although she's a little bossy sometimes, Cynthia is the a really kind person so how can she has a soul demon beast this strong?

*Since the soul fragment has stay in her body for an amount of time, it also got affect by her soul and emotion. The black diamond might have contains a massive amount of these negative emotions to the point that it can causes the monster to grow at an accelerated rate and take form easily.*

How do I take it down without damaging the soul fragment?

*Aim for its core, by destroying it the demon beast will disappear and turn back into the soul fragment. The core of a monster is usually located in the waist of the demon beast.*

Time to take down this piece of shit and rip the mask off that guy face.
