Vain Woman

I rolled my eyes at him as I chose what to adorn my hair.

"Why are you here?"

Really. Every single time, I have to stress out myself in choosing what to wear. Trying to complement my dress with my accessories is such a pain. This is why two hours is not enough to get ready.

"Waiting for you, of course."

My brows furrowed. "But why?"

"I'm your escort for tonight, little cat."

I paused. "You are?"

I didn't know that. I usually have my brother as my escort.

"What? Do you have someone else?" He quipped.

Why does he sound pissed off…

"Nathan has always been my escort," I told him.

"Well, not anymore."

He said it so arrogantly it made me speechless.

"...Did you even ask for my opinion?"

Lukas tilts his head. "You don't want to?"

The smile on his lips, coupled with the steely glint in his eyes, is telling me that there is no room for argument and that if I said no, he will definitely punish me.
