The Hunt (4)

Squatting near a huge hind tree, I was hugging my bow while Lukas was looking at me like I was a joke.

"I can't kill it." 

"If you can't kill anything, you won't get any points."

I pouted. "But I feel so bad."

It was probably an hour since we began hunting, but until now, I still couldn't kill any monsters at all. Sera and the others were already collecting steadily, and even Lukas had caught a dire wolf a while ago.

Meanwhile, I couldn't even kill a blood rabbit who had attacked us just now.

It's small! And adorable!

Yeah, sure, it's carnivorous and very aggressive, but it just doesn't sit right with me to stab it with my arrow.

"The blood jade on its forehead is worth a lot of money, don't you know?" said Lukas.

Money…

"But still–" I then let out a sigh.

"You're talking big earlier about how you're still going to win but you can't even kill one rabbit?"

What am I gonna do, huh?
