LittleHunter [yes?]
I kept staring at her message and my feelings overwhelmed me.
"Hah... why am I..."
The sudden joy of someone you love have a talk with you, it made me almost cry yet I feel so elated that I didn't know that I was widly grinning from ear to ear.
LittleHunter [um...]
LittleHunter [is this your grind spot?]
LittleHunter [pls don't kill me]
The following messages snapped me out from my somewhat of a stupor, and I immediately replied without thinking.
Me [noe]
Me [nop]
Me [nope]
LittleHunter [hahaha]
LittleHunter [don't rush the keyboard]
LittleHunter [^__^]
The usual smiley face that she makes, made my heart flutter. It's really her, is it.
"She doesn't know me."
Me [I was thinking]
Me [if u needed some help]
It took a while before her message came, but since she didn't know me yet it was fine. My heart was calm at this moment and I felt like I could wait forever for her reply.
LittleHunter [not really]
LittleHunter [I have a helper already]
LittleHunter [thanks anyway]
Me [ah]
LittleHunter [^__^]
Me [no problem]
I felt like I just got shot at the heart from the rejection, and I know it's just a simple refusal but it really hurt a bit though.
Did I have a bad first impression? Will this affect how it will go later?
Maybe I shouldn't have done this because we weren't supposed to actually meet in game yet?
But even with these thoughts, I felt that it was alright since I finally validated her existence, and that I really came back almost two weeks ago.
LittleHunter [are you an assassin?]
Me [no, I'm a GK]
LittleHunter [but]
LittleHunter [I can't see you here]
LittleHunter [yet you added me]
LittleHunter [do you know me?]
Me [I saw you on town before you went to that map]
Me [a few minutes ago]
LittleHunter [but]
LittleHunter [I logged in and my char was already here]
LittleHunter [are you sure you're not just...]
LittleHunter [.....]
LittleHunter [stalking?]
Bad. This is real bad. Fuck this. I shoudn't had said anything instead!
"What to do..."
My brain ran as if it had chickens flocking in and out of my ears as I slightly started to panic from her messages.
Ugh!
Why did I had to lie?
Maybe just telling the truth would have been fine, but would she even believe what I'd say?
I could only presume that if I told her that I came from the future and I knew her actual name and that's why I added her in my friend's list, then from her reaction right now... she'll just assume that I'm really a stalker.
LittleHunter [um]
LittleHunter [I have to go for now]
LittleHunter [my brother wants to play]
LittleHunter [maybe cya]
"No no no no no!!!"
Damn. I've been had!
"Who would've known that I'd actually add her minutes earlier, and have her disappear from the palm of my hand just like that."
I could only stare at the ceiling for a while before quietly muttering to myself.
"Fate is toying with me."
...
5 PM
I suddenly heard a knock on my door and found Aiden as I opened it.
"Bro, you good? You missed the class today, and there was even someone that wanted to see you from the other section."
Thinking back, February 8 was the day that that girl Lyn wanted to ask me out... probably.
It was the first time that I actually got called by a girl and almost wanted to secretly meet with her yet we were disturbed by a teacher and we separated paths.
Since then, we haven't met at all as she's in another section and I've always been one to just hide from people whenever it's some kind of a problem.
I mean she wasn't a problem, but it was problematic if the other kids made a fuss about us and I'll have no end to my troubles.
She was one of the popular girls at school but not that overly beautiful, and I also didn't like her that much which made it easier for me to just hide instead of making a rejection.
"Oi. Looks like you're really out of your thoughts. Hope you get better, and don't forget your excuse letter."
I saw him drop a small plastic bag with two oranges inside on the table before he left.
"Tomorrow is 9th then."
From his reaction and the way he left without much words meant that he's the usual Aiden, and looks like we'll be talking a lot tomorrow.
Since morning I moved a lot so I was feeling tired right now, so by sunset I had dinner and checked everything I have to bring tomorrow before finally hitting the sack.
I wasn't too excited from the fact that I returned back in time because I haven't really memorized a lottery combination that would make me rich overnight, and these days I always just play games whenever I got home.
Now that I've somewhat disregarded my game, I felt a little bored so I had a bit of difficulty sleeping.
"I only have so much time before Esyllt rejects me, and the start was quite bad already."
...
The next day, I woke up early and lacked a bit of sleep, but buying that bread from the store was worth it.
I was so early going to school that the guard I usually greet was a bit surprised and almost jumped from fright. His eyes also bulged out as I probably appeared on his peripheral only when I was in close proximity.
"Good Lord. I thought you were that ghost those kids talked about last night!"
"Ghost? Kids?"
"A few kids stayed until night and started storytelling, then I somehow got hooked to one of their stories. It mentioned this school had a ghost, so I almost freaked out just a while ago."
I held the guard at the shoulder, and tapped him. We smiled at each other and exchanged greetings, and I could also hear him mutter to himself as I went past by him before I went upwards to my room.
"Huh? He's early."
Seeing the familiar classroom which had desks that not been arranged for exams yet, I went to my seat and quickly ate the special bread.
"Don't tell me they put some kind of drug in it which makes it so addicting?"
"Huh? What drugs?"
A girl's voice spoke from the side and I quickly finished what I was eating before she could probably ask me for some.
"What drug? I didn't say anything."
"Sure. Suit yourself."
It was Moriana who was the other early bird in our class.
"Wait, you're quite early today?" She asked.
Deja vu suddenly hit me, but I didn't have the urge to go through the same conversation again so I looked behind her and just stated a few poetic verses.
"The massive sphere of light rose as the young man and woman crossed paths once more. There were words, there were gestures. But there was not an ounce of love between them."
"Yuck."
What the heck, I just said what I wanted to and that's how she responds?
I let her be and I just took a nap until my classmates' chatter noise woke me up.
This is going to be a fun day.
