Chapter 2: Welcome to Rebirth Island

Sachi's consciousness slowly faded and she felt a pull at her soul, she did not even have energy to resist, but she did not want to give in. Her soul shouted at the unfairness of the life.

A black gateway opened pulling her soul towards it. The girl struggled a lot in her mind 'to give in or resist'. At the last moment she felt she wanted to take control of her own life and her own destiny she wanted to defy and resist the pull.

As her soul was about to enter the dark gates another appeared to her left and pulled at her, suddenly a new set of memories flowed into her. Sachi Nakamura a sales employee of earth.

Then another door opened on her right and pulled at her soul. This pull was so fierce that the pressure from the black gate and the door on the left lessened and she was pulled into the right door completely.

As she stepped into the door, she was shocked at its power of the pull. As she entered, only fog covered around her at first, and then it cleared slowly showing the surroundings a blue sky, white clouds and a land floating without any support. It was like another world, completely surrounded with fog and clouds, after clearing was a barren land which slowly started to change; green and blue colour grass along with some wild unknown flowers grew as it expanded. Also, on the ground lay in the grass was her physical body.

The wounds on her body stared healing automatically. She felt the strong powerful energy in the air, the magic in the surrounding nature was pure and highly concentrated. Her soul slowly pulled towards the physical body and merged.

A voice from nowhere spoke "Scanning the host"

"System initializing"

Sachi slowly opened her eyes; she was shocked to see herself alive and checked her body, all the wounds healed without leaving scars. It was like she never even got hurt in her life. Her fingers slowly moved on forehead towards the right side which she used to cover with hair. She gasped inhaling little air. When she was a child while playing with her cousin she fell and hurt her forehead, a scar formed after healing, but now she did not feel that scar.

She immediately searched for any reflecting surface so that she can check her face. However she did not see any.

Then she felt little pain in her head and memories flooded into her. She quickly remembered about the door opening on her left and memories of someone name Sachi Nakamura flowing into her.

The pain increased as the memories stabilized. She tried to reign in the pain, but a small gasp escaped her lips, then slowly the pain decreed and stopped, her back was drenched.

As she took hard breaths the memories slowly made sense. It was memories of her past life from earth before she migrated. A life where she was sales manager and editor in a manga magazine company on earth.

She was shocked, then she felt joy "wow so all the migration stuff and getting gold finger came true for her life. She felt lot of joy as she jumped shouting with happiness.

"Wait, is it my previous life or some soul merged?" she thought she tried to feel herself. "I feel myself, no merging or except for memories, and feel like the new memories are mine as well. So, there is only one conclusion, I was migrated and reborn, but my memories were sealed, and at the death doors it got unsealed due to my struggle."

"She remembered even her previous life was a struggle, she sacrificed a lot to get to the position she was in. Then while saving pregnant woman near a train station she fell and died.

"I hope atleast the mother and the baby in her are safe" she thought sighing at her fate.

A voice from nowhere sounded

"System installation complete and successful"

Sachi jumped two steps back with fright and stood motionless at the sound for a whole minute, and then looked around her.

"Welcome to the rebirth island" the system's voice sounded again.

Sachi's eyes widened, and slowly a smile formed on her lips.

"Host, please enter your name to complete the procedure"

She quickly fell into thinking. "Should I give my earth name or this life's name?

"Please enter your current name" the system informed her as though knowing what she was thinking.

"Sachi Carlie Poalm" Sachi said without hesitating anymore.

"System procedure complete. Welcome Sachi, to the rebirth Island"

"Rebirth Island?" Sachi was amazed.

"Yes and you are the owner of this island from now" the system confirmed.

"Owner? But may I know the purpose?"

"The owner received the phoenix system, you will be raising phoenixes from now" answered the system.

"WOW" Sachi's mouth became an O shaped with joy and surprise.

"A Phoenix system, you mean the phoenix of legends which I heard and read about on earth?" she though.

"Yes" the system replied.

"Wonderful!" "I accept" Sachi shouted with joy.

"So this is my golden finger, great I love this idea."

"Congratulations, you have received a gift pack for activating system and opening the Rebirth Island."

"Would you like to receive it?"

"Yes."

"You have received a gold coin * 2000."

Coins started falling from sky.

Joy appeared in her eyes.

Two thousand gold coins!

This was a huge amount of money even for the entire Poalm family, as they were from a county.

The current world she lives in has sword and sorcery. The world here was similar to the medieval times of the Europe continent in her previous life, where feudalism and slavery coexisted.

She only read about the magic, Kings, heroes and their legends in history books and fantasy novels on earth and in this world.

As her memories of past and present merge and stabilized she thought "now I am going to be part of it" It was really exciting for her.
