CHAPTER 38

Saturday...

KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!

Oliver was woken up from his sleep. He stretched his arms and legs as he stood up.

"Who's there?" He asked.

"It's Clara. Breakfast is ready, would you like to have it in your room or..." She didn't get to finish her statement cause Oliver had interjected.

"Downstairs! Thanks. I'll eat with mom."

Not saying anything again, Clara left. He picked up his phone on his table where he had been charging it and checked the time.

It was just 8:30 and he had promised to pick Alice up at 10. He went into his bathroom and had a quick shower. He brushed his teeth staring at the mirror happily.

When he was done, he got out of the bathroom and went into his walk - in wardrobe. He put on an underwear and picked out a cream coloured shirt from the hanger putting it on immediately. He then moved to where he folded his trouser pants. Without wasting time, he pick a black pant and put it on as well. He paired his outfit with a pair of white sneakers. He decided to put on a black and silver wristwatch from the breitling brand. All the outfits he had were from the Armani brand, it was his favorite brand, being the son of a rich businessman man, it was very easy to get customised outfits from a particular brand.

Oliver checked himself out in a mirror and was quite satisfied with his outfit choice.

'Oh! One more thing.'

He picked up a hair gel and applied it on his brown hair. He made his hair slick to the back which made him look Super handsome.

Now after being satisfied with his look, he went downstairs and saw his Mother sipping tea and holding some documents in her hands scrolling through them slowly.

"Mom! Good morning." On getting down, he walked sto his Mother, called her attention to him greeted her and pecked her on the cheeks.

"What's the occasion? This is so unusual."

Linda wasn't usually greeted that way, if it was her husband, she would have understood but Oliver, she was surprised. Her son was always cold and hardly would he behave that way.

"I agree. Well that's because I am in a good mood." He replied his mother.

"Are you going on a date? Do you finally have someone you like?" She asked.

"I have always liked someone mom. I am not going on a date. I am just going out with some friends." He replied calmly again and this time with a smile on his face.

"Really? Who is she?" Linda was joyful. She always had suspicions her son was gay but now he was saying he had always liked someone.

"I can't tell you for now."

"Why?"

"Cause it's one sided. She doesn't see me that way for now." He stated, but he didn't feel sad in the slightest.

"Hmm. Okay."

"Mom could I take one of the cars out?" He asked politely.

"Yes, bit but bring it back home safely. I mustn't find a single scratch on it." She warned.

"Sure mom." He assured.

With that, they headed to the dining, had breakfast and went their separate ways.

Morning in Alice's home...

"Thank you mom."

Alice was stuck up on what to wear today and had almost decided to tell Oliver she wouldn't be able to go with him. But her had apparently saved her from the embarrassment. Her mom had bought some clothes for her and decided to keep it a way until she noticed her daughter's old ones had worn out.

Now Alice was wearing a very pretty floral pink dress coupled with a pair of beige coloured sandals. Her black hair was styled in a loose bun, making her flawless skin exposed. Alice wasn't one to apply make up, but she didn't want her lips to be dry either, so she applied a bit of lip balm.

"You look really pretty." Iris complemented her daughter happily.

"Thanks mom." Alice smiled but her smile wasn't so brilliant. It was like a fake smile that had been programmed on her face.

KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!

They both heard a knock on their door, Alice went to the door to open it. Behind the door was the handsome looking Oliver.

"Next time, you ask who's there before opening the door." He reprimanded her and walked in leaving her stunned.

"Good morning Aunt." He greeted Iris respectfully.

"Hey good morning." Iris replied cheerfully.

Alice just regained her senses and closed the door going to where they were, which was the living room.

"I must say...you look really handsome Oliver." Iris complemented him.

"Thank you aunt." He replied respectfully.

"You are going now? Where?" Iris asked. Which Mother won't want to know the whereabouts of her child. Not wanting Alice to hear, he whispered in Iris's ears.

"Oh that's nice. Have fun." With that being said she told the two of them to leave. Alice was the first to step out of the house, while Oliver was held back by Iris.

"Thank you so much Oliver." Iris showed appreciation.

"It's no problem aunt. I would do anything just to see a smile on her face." Then he as well headed out.

Iris wasn't blind, she could see the affection he had in his eyes. She knew the boy was in love with her Daughter and she was sure Alice was clueless. Her daughter was way to innocent.

Outside, Alice had seen the Black Mercedes Benz C-Class parked outside, she behind her and saw Oliver use the remote in his hands to unlock the car and it made a horn sound. She was still staring as Oliver ignored her look and got in to the car. Oliver waited for 30 seconds before whining down the passenger glass;

"Don't tell me you are waiting for me to come and open the door for you?"

Alice felt embarrassed and slowly got in.

"By the way, you look very pretty today." Oliver said as he moved the car. He didn't even bother to look at her to find out her reaction.

"Thank you. You don't look so bad yourself." She replied curtly.

"Hell no!" Oliver interjected.

"What?" Alice asked.

"Don't look so bad! Damn! Even your mom gave me a better compliment."

Alice burst out laughing, Oliver's childishness was cute. Her laughter was genuine and beautiful, this genuine laughter of hers only ever came out whenever she was with him.

"Not funny." He said, but in his heart, she looked even more beautiful laughing. Too bad he couldn't stare at her cause he was driving.

"You look very handsome, Oliver. I don't think I even need to tell you that."

"Hmm. I know." Oliver didn't say thank you because she hadn't complimented him well the first time. Alice facepalmed knowing fully well why he replied like that.

"I never knew you were a kid who needed to be told to use their seat belts." Oliver teased.

Alice didn't bother to reply him and just used the seatbelt as asked.

"The car is nice." She said

"Yeah, my mom allowed me to borrow It. I am glad you like it."

"So are you going to tell me where we are going or not?" Alice asked impatiently.

"Could you not just calm down." Oliver said completely determined to not tell her anything.

——————————————

Rachel hadn't woken up early, it was weekend and she wanted to rest a little bit more but she dad a date so she got up. She didn't ponder about anything before going to take a shower.

She had already prepared her outfit since the day before, she must have been excited on the low.

Rachel put in a short black leather skirt, a bright green Zara off shoulder crop top and the usual black leather boots to top it all. She applied a little foundation on her face and applied a bit of lipstick to make her lips look attractive.

She styled her hair in loose curls and beautified it with tiny pins. She wore a silver bracelet, a silver watch and some pretty silver rings and knuckle rings. Rachel wouldn't forget sun shades. She picked a black sunshade and put it on.

She left her room and proceeded to the living room but she had met no one but their butler there.

"Uncle Robin, I am going out with some friends I'll be back later."
