The capture

"I think we're here", Tao announced standing in front of the South gate.

"How many guards do we expect Ms. Shinni?"

"At least five of them at this late hour." Neil answered.

"And how hard will it be to bring them down?" Tao tried to know enemy's strength.

"The new joined army isn't that powerful. Like the soldiers who attacked us before. But the elder ones, they're powerful. We haven't actually fought with them. They use the young ones for all the dirty errands." Neil looked scared.

"I have fought the elder. Once. I saved my life by God's grace. That's all I can say. But I know how to bring them down." Shinni said while looking towards the moon.

"How?" Takio asked.

"Smash their head and heart both until they stop moving."

"Yeah. We can do that. We are going to rip their hearts out and smash their heads." M-21 roared. The werewolf inside him was getting furious.

"Take it easy boys. They're very tricky. This place is full of dark magic. Don't trust your eyes. Trust your instincts." Shinni warned them.

"Let's wait here. They will be here soon." Tao announced.

"When was the full moon exactly?" M-21 asked.

"Two days ago." Neil answered.

"So, you can still gather power from the moon right?" M-21 asked with care.

"We're from the clan who can get power from the moon even in the sunlight." Shinni said proudly. "But in the full moon, we're the most powerful. Even than the elders. But today is not the full moon. And we can't wait for anymore days. There will be nothing left within few days. They're killing one by one of our elders. We need to finish them now." Her voice got deeper.

"We will" M-21 replied.

"Guys, there are fireworks in the sky, and I don't think they're for amusement. Are they?" Tao screamed. A bomb came down from the sky and reached them jumping on the ground.

"Jump away from it." Neil screamed and he jumped towards the bomb. He grabbed it threw it away.

"Careful, Neil" Shinni scared for him.

"I got it, you all stay away from it."

Neil tossed away another bomb with his shield.

And then more than one bombs came down from the sky. The black smoke came out them as they blasted.

"I can't breathe." Takio screamed.

"What are these? My eyes are burning and my lungs are choking." Tao asked.

"Those are the weapons they got from humans. Those are some kind smoke bombs. We need to get out of their sight." Neil shouted.

"No. That won't help. Let's find the him whoever is throwing them." Shinni replied with anger in her voice. Everybody was coughing and was trying to open the burning eyes.

Takio pulled his gun out, aimed somewhere amidst of smoke and dark and shot. Someone fail down on the ground.

"I got that s** of b****." Takio shouted while coughing.

"We need to kill him. The bullet just have knocked him out." Shinni screamed and ran towards the fallen soldier.

Neil reached him first and shouted "No. This is not possible. Don't kill him Shinni".

"Why, what's wrong?"

"This is not possible. It's not possible." Neil kept repeating his sentence.

Shinni reached the soldier and her eyes widened. The terror in her eyes turned into sorrow and she screamed, "Shei?" Tears flew down from eyes and she fell down on her knees.

"How did they get him? It cannot be." Shinni couldn't believe her eyes.

She checked for her brothers clan mark. It was there, right on his arm. Nobody can forge it. It was him truly him.

"Who is he?" Tao asked.

"Her brother, Shei." Neil voice was filled with sorrow.

"Can we bring him back? Can we bring him to light?" He asked Shinni.

"I don't know. We need to get him to Father." She cleared her tears and stood up.

"We first need to complete the mission Ms. Shinni. We can't leave like this." Tao interrupted Shinni.

"We need to take him to my father as soon as possible. He is injured and turned. I don't think if he has any time."

"I will take him to your Father and come back as soon as possible." Neil got Shei on his back and ran towards west but something hit him in the legs and he failed down.

"Nobody is leaving little kids. Game is not over yet." A creepy voice came from the Gate. "A man in black hood appeared through the door with his followers behind him.

"Did you like the Welcome gift Princess?" He looked at Shinni and smiled hideously.

"It took us weeks to trick him. Quite a fighter your brother was! But naive and fool! He would have made a good soldier. But pity, he couldn't make it. The forced turning ritual is utterly powerful you know. I don't think he is alive." He teased her and smiled.

"And who are these fancy little friends you brought with you?" He looked at Tao, Takio and M-21 curiously.

"You're going to get them killed with no reason. They don't belong here. Send them back when you still have time." He tried to scare her.

"We will see who remains alive to see tomorrow's sunlight." M-21 roared and squeezed his claws to rip him apart.

"I see. So you chose your way. Very well then. Soldiers, take them down." He appointed his soldiers to the task and turned back towards the gate.

The soldiers lifted their guns to shoot.

But Takio shot first blasting two of them with his huge gun. M-21 jumped on the other two and ripped them apart. Shinni pierced one of the soldier's heart with her sword. Tao was looking at the hooded figure to his next move.

All the soldiers were lying on the ground within few seconds. The hooded figure turned back and waved his hands in the air and the area around them got filled with black smoke. Tao tried to shoot him but he lost vision before pulling the trigger.

"I can't see anything and I can't breathe again. What is this?" Takio screamed.

"He is an elder with super abilities." Shinni tried to explain.

"We can see that. But how to stop him?" Tao asked.

"I honestly don't know. I haven't seen something like this before. And we're getting out of air and we're losing vision." Shinni said with great worry.

"We need to call them, now." M-21 shouted & failed on the ground unconscious.

"Tao pulled out the red fire and shot in up in the sky." He tried to look for the hooded guy but his vision was compromised and he was losing his consciousness because of lack of air.

The last thing he saw was black smoke and words from hooded figure,

"Finish the strangers, bring moony inside and get the two birds down from the air."

"Boss, where are you?" Tao talked to himself with regret. They underestimated the enemy. And there was no undoing for it.
