Identity Death

Avis and Vinea had left Ven and Tika behind, still freeing prisoners with a fun loving kick to their steps. "Who would have thought I'd be doing this in just a month of knowing you?" Avis laughed as she threw feathers to break the locks to some cells. Vinea laughed with her, using his vines to pulldown some ceiling panels, blocking the way for some in coming Decaynines. "Well. I think this is the best life we could get. I'm having way to much fun now!"

The duo continued their laughter as Avis began blaring music out of her speakers, the two making their way to the next floor with excitement, only to see cards tossed about the shining halls. "What... The?" Avis mumbled and picked up a card, noticing something familiar about it. Vinea noticed something as well, a dripping glitchy ink like substance leaking through the walls.

"I... You don't think..."

"I... Do think." He nervously mumbled, making sure to avoid the ink as they began creeping through the looming darkness that seemed to grow more as they walked deeper and deeper through the halls. 

Avis clutched the card she found close, with Vinea seeming puzzled. "Why have you got that?" He motioned to the card. She nervously turned it around to show Biz, represented as the queen of Spades. "Oh... OH, OH MOLLIA! S-She's here! W-We're dead!" He began rambling as the two began bolting down the hall, trying to find the door to the next floor. But the two were soon cornered as Avis's speakers began playing up, letting out an electronic hiss that almost resembled a laugh.

The two began moving as fast as they could, soon finding the exit... Only for it to be blocked by black, inky tentacles. The duo began desperately banging and attacking the tentacles. But their fear was soon amplified as they turned back to see a bright, glowing, singular galaxy like eye stare back at them. 

 "Avis... Vinea... You've returned to me..." A broken, almost spliced together voice spoke. "I'm not ready for this! I can't confront her yet!" Avis cried out, banging more furiously with Vinea. And, as the figure drew closer, a mass of the glitchy black ink began dripping down between them.

The feminine figure had gotten close enough to touch them, with her reaching out a crooked, glitching hand towards "Come here... And give me..."

"Stay back, Peni!" Avis yelled before punching the one eyed woman in the face, knocking her to the ground with a thud. She looked up to Avis with a tear filled eye as the ink began to clear, Avis looking more stunned then before.

"Ami!?"

She nodded before bursting into tears, hugging Avis's leg tightly as she lied on the ground. "I... Never thought I-I'd see you again!" She cried out in a glitchy, distorted voice, spooking Avis and Vinea, both pulling away. "How do we know you're not Peni in disguise? Tell us a fact that only Avis would know!" Vinea said as he pointed a vine at her, intimidating her into submission with little effort.

"O-One time when we were young, Avis m-made me eat a worm b-because I saw her kissing a g-girl..."

Avis immediately froze up as Vinea began laughing his ass off. "I knew you were gay." 

"Bi." 

"Seeya." Vinea smirked, any dramatic tension that had been created by Ami's accidental scare had all but vanished. The two then looked at the disfigured and timid girl before them, questioning her on how she was still self aware. 

Ami began nervously stammering, trying to figure out what to say but took a deep breath. "I-I'm... N-N-Not Ami a-anymore... P-Penumbra m-made me her vessel a-and I'm her... But also me? I-I still think I'm me, but I-I'm also Peni and... It's confusing, okay!" She grumbled, getting up to continue hugging her sister.

"W-Well, you seem pretty Ami to me. So... Can you uh... Fix this?" She motioned to Biz in her hand and the other cards on the ground. Ami let out a slight squeak and, with a nervous laugh, she brushed her newly acquired purple and red tentacled hair from her eyes. 

"I... Can't. Peni a-and m-me don't wanna."

"You don't wanna?" Avis repeated with a dumbfounded look. 

"W-Well.... S-She called me names and m-made fun of me, so I d-don't want to." She said with a more confident tone, despite only a void remaining where her face should be, Avis could feel as though her sister had a smug look. But the harpy wasn't going to take that for an answer, yanking on Ami's hair and squawked. "You are gonna fix Biz and help us beat Panila!"

Ami let out a whimper and shook her head, speaking to someone who wasn't visible to the two. "I don't have to, r-right? ....But Biz hates m-me! ...Fine..." Avis let go of her hair as she took the card and dipped it into some ink, with Biz soon emerging with a gasp of life, quickly trying to catch her breath.

"H-Happy?" 

"Thanks Aminumbra." Vinea said as he helped up the traumatised Jackal, who had none of her robotic limbs since being arrested. Biz took a long breath and motioned for Vinea to carry her, which he did, though rolling his eyes in dismay.

"So.... What now?"

"Oh, well Panila is g-going to burst through that w-wall in about thirty seconds a-and c-capture me. You w-will meet u-up with Ven a-and the others to face Panila's guards." Ami said calmly, like it had all happened before, with the three now staring blankly at the possessed girl.

"And you know this because...?" Biz said, nudging Vinea to motion for her to continue.

"I-I s-sorta m-maybe know... N-N-Next to everything in the universe now."

Avis gave a thumbs up with her robotic hand. "Cool. So... Do we win?"

"W-W-Wait, when did you get a new hand? A-A-And arm!? A-A-And wings!?" Ami's omnipotence didn't extend as far as she thought, though in truth, her heart ability had been swayed by Penumbra's power, allowing her to see into the future to a limited degree. 

Avis gave a quick summary of what happened in the last few days, stunning Ami. But before the they could chat more, the sound of chains began rattling through the halls. She quickly dismissed the wall of tentacles blocking the way forward and motioned for the others to go. Avis seemed hesitant, but she gave her a reassuring thumbs up. "D-Don't worry... The least I k-know about the future is that I won't d-die."

The harpy was both concerned and bizarrely reassured by the words, leaving with Vinea and Biz as Ami began readying herself for Panila.

But instead of seeing her warden, she was met face to face by Iyu and Nvr2b quickly catching her off guard and capturing her inside of Iyu's body. "Two down, one to go." She mumbled as Nvr began drinking some of the ink, getting giddy. "I can't wait for this! Splice would be proud!"

"Well, I was their best work." Iyu said with her usual put on smile, but seemingly holding some pride to her own words as the two quickly left to avoid Panila, who was actively approaching.

After a few minutes, Ven and Zamtika caught up with everyone else, with Grey and Rat catching up soon after. They had fought their way up to the last three floors of the prison and only had team Cerbi to deal with. Ven loaded some extra bullets into his gun-blade. "Let's finish this!" Vinea yelled with a triumphant cheer, though Avis couldn't help but laugh at how cheesy it was.
