Hunting Season

Lucy had been drinking for the past few hours. With her weakened body, it was the first time in her life she had ever been drunk. And for everyone else, Lucy became somehow more unbearable. 

"K... Kiola.... You dragon... Uh... Dragon? I... I'm so lonely." She could barely form sentences as she wandered down the halls of the ship. And despite the fact she was calling out Kiola, the dragon wasn't even near her. She was just staring at a picture on the wall that Kiola had put up to quote "Be ever present for her crew." 

Nvr and Grey had assigned themselves to watching Lucy as she stumbled down the hall. "You know... I hated my mother. She... *hic* She didn't even raise me. She left me with Auntie Parfait... Then she decided to get killed...." 

"Lucy... Why don't you sleep?" The bio weapon suggested, looming down to Lucy's level to look into her five eyes. The demon let out a delayed scream at the sight of Nvr before laughing. "You... You ugly thing. You scared me." 

"Would... You like me to escort you to your room?"

"Nah... Let's walk... I wanna." She drunkenly laughed before running onto the main deck of the ship. Night was slowly approaching, so most of the crew had left for dinner, leaving Nvr and Grey to watch Lucy alone. 

"You wanna know something funny?" She asked as she sat down on a throne of chains on the main deck. Nvr nodded, deciding to humour her master. Lucy let out a giddy laugh and drunk more.

"Splice... Offered you to me... As a bargaining chip one time. I told that fucker to keep you... Now look were they are.... Dead! Only thing they was good for was teaching me about... Uh... Decaynines. Mother's name I miss Cerbi..."

"Go to sleep." Nvr said flatly, growing slightly annoyed at her words. "You... You two knew me before and... And now. Do... Do people actually... Uh, like me? Like as a boss? Or friend? Or... What did Rat call it? A person?"

"People like you. You do things that are frustrating at points. Perhaps if you slept, you would feel better."

Lucy seemed to think for a moment before staring at the bottle. "No... I wanna have fun for once. Screw it, I'm young again. I ain't a ruler anymore. I know! I'll send you on a mission. That's what Splice made you do, right? Oh, Oh... But you need a team... I know!"

The demon quickly ran over to the railing of the ship, staring down into the dark, creepy forest that wasn't even on the map she got from the horsemen. "I sense a powerful presence in that forest... I want you to hunt it for me... And you can't say no!" She cackled, nearly falling over the railing, but was quickly pulled back by Grey. 

The demon wandered back around to her throne, a devious grin on her face as she began thinking something over. "It'll be a game. You have until the morning.... T-Then... Uh... If you don't bring me back whatever I sense, you have to... Carry me for a week. Yeah... Screw it, that sounds fun." 

Lucy raised her bangs and with a quick tug, pulled out one of her eyes. And thanks to Titania's ego, she turned it into a little cute bat like creature with a single gigantic eye and chain like wings. "I'll name it... Mammy... My Greed personified." She snickered, slumping back in her throne.

Nvr wasn't just about to go on a random mission by a drunk demon... Until the little Mammy rammed into her at full speed. Despite its small size, the bat was surprisingly tough as it shoved Nvr over the edge, sending her plummeting to the ground below. 

"Fuck."

Nvr crashed into the earth below, her body mangled and broken. Yet Grey remained perfectly in tact, having cushioned himself with Nvr's body. As the Bio weapon slowly put herself back together with her regeneration, Mammy flew down to her level. Giving a playful chirp, the bat's eye suddenly glowed gold and displayed a list of all those Lucy was contracted with.

Nvr and Grey both read through what they were being offered and came to realise they were being offered two partners for Lucy's game. It seems she was actually serious about this entire thing and they wouldn't be summoned back to the ship until sunrise. 

With little options and the sun setting, the two decided to select two companions for their "fun" escapade. 

"Thank you for selecting. The game will now begin."

The bat let out a playful noise and closed its eye. With a small beeping noise, two figures suddenly appeared out of the now present mist that filled the forest. "And I win- Wait... Where am I?" Vinea questioned before noticing Nvr and Grey behind him. 

"Whatever, Mix. Oh and get me some more Mushrooms." Avis grumbled before accidentally bumping into a tree, falling backwards. "W... When was there a tree here?" She grumbled, slowly getting up. Vinea let out a loud groan, staring at the small bat like thing with a sour look. 

"Lucy! What the hells! I was in the middle of a game. This thing is Lucy, right?" He asked as he looked over to Grey, who nodded in agreement. The scarf shifted into a more humanoid form resembling a fox headed man. "I suppose I should help out this time." He sighed.

With a quick explanation of what's going on by Grey, the two summoned 'heroes' weren't exactly happy to be stuck in the middle of a forest. Avis sighed, having luckily been holding her guitar as she was teleported, began playing a tune as they all began to wander the forest.

"What a fun way to reunite." The harpy said in a sing song tone, using her music to guide her way. Mammy suddenly began to beep like a radar, before playing Lucy's voice. 

"I... Forgot to mention. I turned my eye into a radar. Anyone not bound by a contract.... Will uh... Will make my drone go beep." 

The sound of Lucy's drunken laughter began to play loudly through it. As much as Nvr wanted to crush the eye in her grasp, she knew it was at least valuable. But that didn't stop Vinea from wrapping a vine around its mouth. 

With nothing else but a radar and friends, so began the four's hunting trip.
