A Gods Wrath...

Ven tumbled backwards, finding himself outside the Tower Of Babel, with everyone standing around him except Fox, Mementis and Moria. "Uh... What do we do now?" Avis asked with a nervous smile on her beak as he rose to his feet.

"I'd say we leave. Mementis and Moria aren't coming back..." Ven sighed staring at the top of the tower where the sounds of laughter could be heard. Tika gave a solemn smile as she stared up. "It's how they always said they wanted to go out."

"By fighting a god?" Vex asked with a puzzled look as she tried to walk over, only to bump into a rematerializing Iyu. Everyone looked a bit caught of guard by Iyu, with Vinea awkwardly waving to her. 

"I recommend you all return home. Splice will be disposing of everything in their path in three... Two... One..." As Iyu finished counting down, a piercing hissing sound was heard. "It appears we should leave." Tid-Bit said with a cheery voice through Ven. Everyone nodded and quickly began to scatter as a leviathan sized fleshy serpent began slithering through the streets, destroying everything in its path.

Mementis looked to his sister with a grin as the two were laughing as they thought Parfait off. Her attacks were rather predictable to the siblings, as she had never really been in many fights.

As Moria swung for Parfait, Mementis let out a loud gasp. "I forgot to give the train keys to Ven!"

"Whaaaat?" Moria groaned, ducking under Parfait's attempt at a blind side punch. "I guess we should deliver the keys? This isn't really much of a fight..." Moria mumbled, casually knocking the leader to the ground.

"I guess we could die later, right?" Mementis mumbled as they stood together, but were swiftly stopped by Parfait creating a dome of feathers around them. "Or you two will remain here instead." She sighed, doing a crushing motion with her hand. The dome instantly disappeared, only leaving their belongings and a feather, both a ghoulish white colouring. 

Parfait grabbed the feathers and pulled her halo off, creating a portal with it and tossing them inside as memorabilia. "Now... Where are the others?" She mumbled before feeling the ground shake beneath her feet.

She flew above to see the gigantic serpent making its way towards her. She let out a sigh as her hair began to grow, eyes opening between the strands of her hair as the halo moved over her face, creating a circling ring of silver blue eyes. She adjusted her dress as she prepared to do battle.

"Come on, dog! Try harder!" Apex yelled with a cackle as she charged at Fox, who barely dodged the attack. The two had been fighting for about ten minutes, both of them being battered and bruised. 

Fox ran through the streets of the city, firing Violet as Apex chased him down once more. They were playing a game of prey and hunter, yet both wanted to be the hunter. As Fox used Violet as a grappling hook and launched himself into the air, he had the mimics shift into a sniper as he took one calm breath as he aimed down the sights.

BANG

Apex's body scraped across the floor as she went limp. He motioned a sigh as he landed to the ground as Violet shifted back to Red and Blue. He slowly approached her body before firing both of his mimics into her skull just to be sure she was dead. He wasn't going to make the same mistake he did last time.

He suddenly felt the ground shake beneath him as he saw what looked like a colossal fleshy serpent slither through the streets. He almost seemed in awe before he heard a familiar boy's voice. "Fox Hey, you're still alive?" Vinea yelled as he and Senshi waved down to him from a roof top.

Fox gave a slight wave back before feeling an intense stabbing pain go through his chest. He looked down to see Apex's claws through him. He heard her sickening laughter as she was barely able to stand at this point. "I... WIN..." She gave a final laugh before using her remaining strength to tear Fox's body in half, finally falling over dead.

Vinea quickly rushed over, trying to help Fox who was literally in two. "WhatdoIdoWhatdoIdoWhatdoIdo!" He muttered over and over, trying to use his vines to hold him together. Red and Blue where wrapped around his neck like a scarf, seeming to be trying to comfort him.

Avis and Vex landed nearby, having wondered what Vinea was doing, only to notice hat had happened. Avis felt ill looking at the sight, instead turning away as Vex watched in quiet shock. Soon Ven and Tika arrived, with Ven letting out a sigh, though Tika remained unfazed.

Senshi scuttled over to Fox's mask, feeling it for the first time. "W-Wait... I-It's flesh?" She said with a confused look. She felt over the part that had been torn from his previous battle with Apex, finding it was the only part of the mask that didn't feel fleshy. 

"What the?" Ven mumbled as he went to take the mask, only for Red and Blue to hiss in repulse. Tika said in a flat tone; "Come on, you two. It's what he woulda wanted." The mimics let out another hiss before unwrapping off of Fox's neck, letting Ven take off the mask.

Once Ven took the mask off, everyone except Tika let out a suspired gasp. Behind the mask laid a corpse. Not a recently dead one, but one that seemed to have been dead for a good few years at this point. 

"F-Fox was undead!?" Vinea whispered in a surprised tone as tears left his eyes. Suddenly Fox's mask began to shift into a fleshy form, quickly shooting through his mouth and pulling out what looked like yellowish chunks of flesh. 

"I think I'm gonna be sick." Avis said before rushing off to throw up. Vinea turned to Zamtika with a confused look. "W-What is that?" He asked as Tika let out a sigh. "That is Yellow. The third of Fox's mimics... But I guess you could call it Yellow Fox." She said with a slight laugh as Yellow, Blue and Red shifted together, mimicking a Fox. 

"Tika. You truly are bothersome, you know?" The fox said in a broken yet distinct blend of everyone's voices. "And you're just a broken weapon." She smirked, grabbing Fox's corpse and putting it over her shoulder. 

Vinea looked both pissed and overjoyed, yelling at the mimic "You could have told me you were a mimic!"

"But why? It's not really necessary."

"It is completely necessary." Senshi mumbled, staring at the Fox with mixed feelings. After a bit of time, everyone began looking around, noticing the lack of people around and thinking it was a bit strange, only for Iyu to off handily mention the fact that the city had been evacuated under Panila and Parfait's orders.

Avis, who was still recovering from the sight of Fox's corpse, glanced up to see the serpant wrapped around the Tower of Babel, fighting against a fully accurately angelic Parfait. "Hey... Are we still leaving the city?" She asked as she flew over to the group. 

"Yeah. Let's get to the train and dip." Vex said with a laugh, accidentally kicking Apex's corpse. Ven nodded before opening a portal a good distance away from the tower, motioning for everyone to go through. 

"I still feel like we're forgetting something." He mumbled before hopping through himself.

Parfait stared at the head of the serpent with a calm smile. "Please. Come out Echidna." 

The serpent let out a hiss before opening its maw, revealing a hideously deformed Splice grafted to its mouth, with a cold, almost blank hollow stare. "I know you will win. But I think it best that we have a chat first... ########."

Parfait froze up at the name, her wings outstretched to their peak as her halo of eyes twisted ever so slight faster when her eyes narrowed. "What do you want? Why try and take the gem?"

"I want to see a hero reborn. Nothing else really. The gem was just a distraction..." They said with a broken grin with their split jaw. They put their arms out in an almost saintly pose as their gigantic tail began rattling in excitement. "I will see that Mollia gets her wish! In that Eden helps her to claim it. And you, my dear. You have just let the key to my plan leave the city." They grinned, the snake head letting out a hiss of triumph. 

Parfait tensed up at the mention of Mollia, quickly aiming her index finger at Splice, ready to finish them off. "What do you mean?"

"That ruins the surprise. But if you want a hint. I'd try and catch my assistant first." Splice gave one more laugh before finally launching their gigantic body at Parfait, who fired a single beam of light, instantly disintegrating Splice into a golden light, leaving only a scattered feather in their wake, that she instantly burned with a single swipe of her hand as she turned around. 

"What did They mean..." She wondered, the eyes on her wings noticing Ven and the group. She waved them off as pawns, seeing her justice as complete only to see Iyu turn back with a smile. Parfait was a bit dumbfounded, quickly writing it off as coincidence that she had noticed her, only for her suspicion to be amplified when she noticed Iyu was hiding something.

"Her... Assistant. Her Assistant!" Parfait yelled to herself, quickly spreading her wings and taking off in search of Ven and Iyu.

Cheshire had reappeared in Pandora's Melody, looking at Apex's Body with a smirk. "Oh you... I suppose this won't be the first time they've put you back together?" He said with an electronic laughter as he disappeared again with Apex's corpse.
