THE RETURN OF QUICKBAE

Team QuickBae were still walking down the tunnels when all of a sudden, the floor started vibrating. It turned out that the guards Dr Smart and the others had knocked out earlier were later discovered by some of X's men. A warning bell was immediately rung afterwards and X's men started looking for the culprits. Shortly after, X's men realized that Kayleb and Hafsat were missing from the hideout. They somehow managed to locate the tunnels and now, they are headed towards Team QuickBae's direction;

Dr Smart: Seems we have been discovered. Move it you guys so that we won't get caught

Team QuickBae then picked up their pace and started running as fast as they could. Dr Smart and Tee Kay were obviously leading but they had to slow down for the likes of Hafsat and Presh. Although his speed was suspended, Kayleb seemed to be running just fine. But that wasn't enough to put a gap between them and X's men because X's men had started gaining up on team QuickBae;

Presh: (Still running) Guys, why don't we just stay and fight them all. Shouldn't be too hard

Kayleb: That's not a good idea. Sure we have Human Dynamos on our side, but X's men are really loaded and ruthless. They wouldn't hesitate to blow us up into pieces when they finally catch up to us. If only I had my speed, then maybe the outcome of this match would be different

Presh: About that, can you tell me the exact location they inserted the chip in you? If I knew, then maybe I can remove it from your body

Kayleb: Well, it's directly behind; at my nape {the back of a neck}

Presh: I see. Well, I don't have my tools with me, if not I would have proposed a surgical removal of the chip and even if I did have my tools, time is against us because we are being pursued. Therefore, we have only one option left but I am going to need Tee Kay's help for this

Kayleb: Don't tell me you are planning on…..

Presh: Yep! A direct removal of the chip

Dr Smart: Isn't that very risky?

Presh: For a normal human, it is. But Kayleb is literally the fastest man alive. His body heals at least twenty times the normal human body heal rate. So if anything should go wrong, Kayleb should heal instantly. Although, he could be in a tremendous amount of pain

Kayleb: I understand! So, how do you intend on removing the chip? I want it over with as soon as possible

Presh: Don't worry Kayleb; I will be as gentle as I can. I did say you will be in a great amount of pain if anything goes wrong. So let's hope that nothing actually goes wrong. Now the plan is for me to freeze your nape to a temperature of -10 degree celsius, resulting to the freezing of your blood vessels in that region. Then, Tee Kay Phases through your neck and makes contact with the chip; and then phases it out without having his hand directly touch your internal cells. If that happens, he might end up tearing up your flesh and even breaking your bones

Kayleb: Wait what! That's absurd....And what do you mean by Phase?

Dr Smart: It's a new skill I taught Tee Kay. He vibrates his body part or body at a very high and constant velocity that he reaches a certain point where he can pass through solid matter

Kayleb: I get it now. So his hand passes through my neck using this "Phasing Technique" to remove the chip, am I right?!

Dr Smart: Affirmative. But he has to be quick enough to stop phasing and make direct contact with the chip. After that, then he starts phasing again immediately with the chip to remove it from your neck and not cause any damage

Kayleb: That is very risky. I mean, is it even possible? Is Tee Kay fast enough to pull this off?!

Presh: Tee Kay is almost as fast as you Kayleb. So don't worry. He should be able to pull this off. Also, I am freezing your neck so that if Tee Kay manages to fail somehow; which I doubt, your neck will still be in one piece because my ice's intermolecular forces will hold your neck or rather slow down the breaking reaction. Then your super healing can kick in and start fixing your neck immediately

As Presh finished saying this, Sporadic shooting started and Team QuickBae had to take cover. Dr Smart then brought out the revolvers and grenades they had brought along with them and passed at least one each to the remaining members of Team QuickBae and Hafsat. He then told them that they have been caught and will have no other choice but to fight. Kayleb was hesitant in Presh's plan to remove the chip so he was supporting Dr Smart's idea to use revolvers and grenades instead. Team QuickBae then obeyed Kayleb's request and started shooting back at X's men, forcing them to take cover as well. The crossfire continued and Team QuickBae managed to stand their ground. But X's troops were too much and they gradually started gaining up on team QuickBae again as they had lots of fire power. Left with no other choice, Dr Smart, Tee Kay and Presh instantly swung into action and started using their abilities to fight X's men. One by one, they knocked out X's troops but as they were fighting, Presh got shot by a bullet launched by a particular X troop. This forced her to retreat and reduced the winning chance of Team QuickBae. Hafsat, although not a human Dynamo, contributed to stopping the enemy from coming closer by shooting accurately at them with her revolver. Kayleb felt really helpless as the whole team was fighting and he on the other hand, was trembling. He also hated the fact that Presh got hurt when he had a chance to help her and prevent it from happening. He felt so weak. Then Hafsat who was beside him encouraged him to allow Tee Kay remove the chip from his neck. It was the only way out to escape from the situation they were in. Kayleb agreed and went over to Presh, telling her that he was ready to have his chip removed. Presh, although injured, signaled to TeeKay to come back and take cover with them instantly to execute the plan of removing Kayleb's chip. Dr Smart then told Tee Kay to go back and do just that, that he will be able to hold of X's men for a while.

Buying time for Team QuickBae, Dr Smart ran at super speed and knocked out more of X's troops and also prevented any shot bullet from getting close to Team QuickBae. Meanwhile, while taking cover, Presh froze her bleeding arm to suspend her injury from having an infection;

Presh: That should do the trick; it should at least stop the bleeding for now. Now Kayleb, are you ready?

Kayleb: Yes, I am

Tee Kay: Don't worry Kayleb! I assure you, I won't miss

Kayleb nodded his head in affirmative and Presh (in Killer Freeze mode) froze Kayleb's nape and almost immediately, TeeKay shoved his hand into Kayleb's neck.

Dr Smart was still holding off X's men when X's troops decided to play dirty and started using grenades. But Dr Smart was equal to the task though. As soon as a bomb took off, he instantly created two vortexes that repelled the enemy's explosions. This caused some of X's troops to get injured but they were as persistent as a rock. They didn't stop throwing attacks at Team QuickBae. Due to that, an explosion caught Dr Smart off guard as X's troops smartly started sending two grenades launching. Dr Smart was almost caught in the explosion when he suddenly noticed white sparks covering his whole body and pulling him backwards; away from the explosion. It was Kayleb's and he had gotten his speed back;

Kayleb: (In a heroic voice) Spark MAGNET, Complete!

Dr Smart: (talking to Kayleb) I see that the operation was successful?!

Kayleb: Of course, your students aren't all bad you know!

Kayleb then started walking towards the enemy in a majestic manner and the sporadic shooting continued. Due to his immense speed, Kayleb was able to freeze time and catch all the launched bullets shot at him and his team. He then gathered all of X's troops in one position and tied them all up in a way that none of them could move a muscle. To Kayleb, he did all of this while everyone was frozen but to everyone else, (apart from TeeKay and Dr Smart), QuickBae moved so fast that he caught all the shot bullets X's troops had fired and tied them all up instantly;

Kayleb: (talking to X's men) Convey this message to your boss. Tell him that he will be spared this time. But the next time we meet, I will put an end to his reign and that is a promise

After saying this, Team QuickBae turned and left the tunnels; out of Arazona land. Dr Smart's helicopter could be sighted at it's hidden spot and the team boarded it immediately. They then set their Coordinates back to Sterling city.

A week passed and Ali is seen really pissed in his office;

Ali: How could they have left me for Singapore to go rescue Kayleb?! Oh when they get back, I am going to make sure I give them a piece of my mind

Aeres: Calm down Ali, you just recently recovered fully. They did what they thought was best for you

Ali: But I really wanted to be there to help Kayleb, Aeres. He is my best friend. I wonder what he must think of me when he gets back?! He might think that I was scared and didn't have the guts to come rescue him

Kayleb: There is no way I would believe that even if you told me with your own mouth, Ali! After all, you care about me waaay too much, don't you?! (Kayleb added to Ali's statement as he entered the office with the rest of Team QuickBae)

Ali was so emotional after seeing his long lost friend so much that he didn't know how to react after seeing Kayleb;

Kayleb: Hello Ali! It's nice seeing you again (Hugging Ali)

Ali: (with a soft voice) Kayleb! You are back

Kayleb: Yeah bro, hope you didn't miss me too much

Ali: You just had to ruin the moment, didn't you?

Ali said as the two burst into laughter and hugged each other. Ali was extremely pleased to see his best friend again. Aeres too was delighted as she saw Kayleb that tears of joy rolled down her cheeks;

Aeres: (with a sobby voice) Kayleb!

Kayleb: Hello Aeres, it's also nice to see you again!

Aeres: Likewise. How have you been, where have you been?

Dr Smart: We will answer all your questions but first, Kayleb needs to rest

Kayleb then rested up a bit and later, all was explained to the team. Hafsat was also introduced and she was welcomed as the new member of Team QuickBae. While discussing, Ali then asked Kayleb;

Ali: Hey bro, do you remember exactly what happened the moment after you and Alternate had your last encounter?

Kayleb: Hmm, I can't remember much but what I now remember is running in the opposite direction of the Spark Blast energy Alternate was making and containing it within me. For a moment back then, I thought I was gonna die but then something strange happened. A portal opened right in front of me and as my body was about to explode from the blast energy coursing through my veins, the portal not only sent me to another land, but reversed the effects of the Spark Blast's energy and prevented me from blowing up. That is how I ended up in X's territory. After that, I passed out and woke up his slave after he inserted the chip in me

Ali: And Hafsat, you said that you have been in that territory all your life?

Hafsat: Well yeah, for as long as I can remember

Presh: I ran a test on Kayleb and realized that at some point of his stay in X's land, he lost his memory

Kayleb: Yes I did, but Hafsat helped me in regaining my memory. Ever since, she has been a loyal and good friend

After hearing this, Hafsat started smiling at Kayleb and Kayleb smiled back. Aeres observed everything and her mood dulled;

Dr Smart: That's nice. But what was that skill you pulled off back there, when we were fighting X's men?

Kayleb: Oh you mean the Spark Magnet?

Dr Smart: Yeah that! I know I wasn't the one who taught you that move..

Kayleb: Right! I kinda figured out that skill myself. You see, trying to tap into my speed energy helped me a lot in the realization of the speed force and the energy it emits. So I used that logic to connect my spark energy with yours and like a magnet, I dragged you from that situation you were in. To be honest, I didn't even think it would work but I had to do something. Plus, it seems I can only do that to speedsters

TeeKay: Impressive. I look even more forward to learning from you Kayleb!

Kayleb: Likewise, TeeKay. But you are also going to teach me that "Phasing technique" you learnt from Dr Smart, Deal! (Extending his hand to shake Tee Kay)

Tee Kay: (Shaking Kayleb's hand) Deal!

Dr Smart: That being said, we are glad you are back Kayleb and the city has surely missed QuickBae

Kayleb: I have also missed Sterling city too as well. That is why I never want to leave again. Ali, TeeKay and Presh have done a good job in keeping the city safe, but I am here now. I will take care of everything from here on out

Presh: (Whining) Please do, I was getting really tired of saving people every day. I mean, do you know the last time I had a manicure? Seems like forever!

The whole team burst into laughter and Kayleb loved the ambience of the room. He was surely glad to be back.
