Ye Jin looked in the direction Xi Ming had stormed off, enraged. She sighed, noting the fact that she may have potentially destroyed the little progress her efforts had made.
Ye Jin scolded herself inwardly.
"I shouldn't have pried too much," she muttered. But it was hard not to worry about him. Xi Ming was like a wounded bird, and she couldn't stand seeing him hurt anymore, both physically and emotionally. She wanted to protect him, to be the friend he clearly needed, but perhaps she was pushing too hard, too fast.
However, she had clearly pushed a button in Xi Ming, and now she had to fix it before he distanced himself completely from her. She had to apologize, she thought, as she went in the direction he had left, searching for him.
