Ning Xi stood in front of the Ning family house, finally she was leaving.

Ning Xi took huge steps towards the Ning family house, she opened the door and was met with the whole family seated down.

"Sister don't say that, father was really worried about you yesterday.", Ning Rou walked towards Ning Xi.

Ning Rou clenched her fists, she was fuming with anger however she had to stay calm.

At this moment footsteps were heard and Shu Man came into sight.

Shu Man was surprised to see Ning Xi on the floor injured, everything about the girl seemed to have changed recently.

When Ning Xi had first arrived from the village, he had a crush on her and so did she, they had dated for two years however due to some reasons he had fallen in love with Ning Rou.

Ning Xi scoffed, Ning Rou was only crying after receiving a slap?

She had received two slaps and had been hit in the leg yet still she was normal.

"Young master Shu, it was by our negligence that this happened however be rest assured that this will never happen again!", Old Ning You said reassuringly.

Shu Man took in a deep breath, he saw Ning Xi as a little sister yet he could not stand by and watch her do just anything.

Ning Xi stood up, the Ning family had no right to compel her to kneel!

"B*tch did I allow you to stand?", Old Ning You slammed her walking stick against the table.

Ning Xi chuckled and walked upstairs ignoring the threats and insults being made.

"Lil Rou I'll take you shopping alright? Go get dressed now!"

Ning Rou nodded obediently and went upstairs to change.

Ning Shua felt a bit embarrassed, Ning Xi had humiliated him by her actions today and he would make sure to punish her severely.

A maid brought a glass of water for Shu Man after a while as he waited for Ning Rou.

Ning Xi locked her room and walked to the mirror, her face was a bit swollen and the fingerprint was still evident on her face.

Her knees were also bleeding and the corner of her lips were also swollen.

'This happened only because I had not been too careful this time however next time I'll make sure to not give them a chance!'

Ning Xi opened up a locked safe and saw a small box in it, she took out the box and opened it only to find an extremely beautiful and glamorous expensive silver bracelet and necklace.

"Ning Xi's getting engaged?", Shu Man immediately stopped the car, he was completely shocked.

"Ah... you don't know? sister is getting engaged to the young master of the Min family!"

"And is...is she happy about it?", Shu Man asked curiously.

"Yes, sister is excited about it and even requested to push the date forward so when I told her it was too early to get engaged, she got annoyed and slapped me.", Ning Rou lied without even blinking an eye.
