Wei Ying was too lazy to bother talking to Yu Huateng's mom any longer.

"Leave now or I will call the police, don't test my patience." Wei Ying impatiently spoke.

Yu Huateng's mom burned in anger and she turned to leave with a humph.

After seeing her leave, Wei Ying called the security and told them to no longer let Yu Huateng's mom in.

After getting the security's compliance, Wei Ying waltzed into her bathroom and put on a mask.

Wei Ying was humming while putting on the mask when the doorbell rang again.

Wei Ying felt annoyed beyond compare as she went to see who it was again.

Seeing Gu Shenyi on the screen, Wei Ying raised her eyebrows. What was Gu Shenyi doing here? And how did she know her place?

Wei Ying was sure Yu Huateng's mom wouldn't give her the address. Yu Huateng was even less of an option.

Although he loved Gu Shenyi, he still had dreams of marrying her. What Yu Huateng would want now is for the two of them to never meet.

Wei Ying contemplated for a while before opening the door, "What do you want?"

Gu Shenyi looked at Wei Ying, her eyes resolute and determined, "Miss Shi, I want to talk to you about something very important."

Wei Ying looked at Gu Shenyi from head to toe. The previous Gu Shenyi always had a pitiful and miserable expression on her face. Now, Gu Shenyi was donning herself in name brand clothing and her face was serious, albeit pale.

Wei Ying thought for a while before moving aside and letting Gu Shenyi in. She would like to see what this changed female lead was up to.

Gu Shenyi sat down on a sofa and directly stated her intentions, "Miss Shi, I want revenge on Yu Huateng, and I think you would be able to help me. I'm sure you hate Yu Huateng and want revenge on him. We can help each other.

Why did Gu Shenyi think she wouldn't hate her? After all, she was the one who supposedly seduced her fiancée. Was Gu Shenyi naïve or dumb?

And here she thought Gu Shenyi had changed. Wei Ying was sorely disappointed.

Wei Ying leaned against the sofa and raised her eyebrows faintly, "Why do you think I would want revenge?"

"Miss Shi, Yu Huateng wasted your youth and feelings. He deceived you. Anyone would want revenge. Miss Shi, no need to act in front of me. I'm the same as you and I know what you are feeling. Miss Shi, we have the same goal so we can unite and make Yu Huateng suffer."

Wei Ying scratched her eyebrow. She was speechless, to say the least. Was Gu Shenyi now dictating her feelings? Why was she so confident they had the same goal?

Although Gu Shenyi wasn't exactly wrong, Wei Ying felt that Gu Shenyi wasn't right in the head.

While Gu Shenyi wanted revenge because Yu Huateng deceived her feelings and caused her to miscarry, Wei Ying wanted revenge because Yu Huateng used Shi Yuxi's riches to pamper Gu Shenyi and to live happily ever after in the luxury that was rightfully Shi Yuxi's.

Wei Ying looked at Gu Shenyi with strange eyes, "Miss-"

Gu Shenyi bit the inside of her cheek. She couldn't believe Wei Ying still didn't know her name after all that happened. Gu Shenyi calmed down and provided, "Gu Shenyi."

"Miss Gu," Wei Ying nodded, "it seems you forgot the other party Yu Huateng cheated with is you."

Gu Shenyi blushed in shame and her eyes watered, "Miss Shi, I am but a mere maid with no background in the Yu Household, how can I attract Yu Huateng's attention, let alone seduce him."

Gu Shenyi pursed her lips and shook her head, "Yu Huateng was the one who forced me."

Gu Shenyi took out a contract from her purse and passed it to Wei Ying.

Wei Ying took the paper and read the content. Party A will serve Party B whenever and wherever he wants. Party A is obliged to follow all of Party B's instructions and orders.

The more Wei Ying read, the more speechless she felt. Is such a contract even legal?

Wei Ying gave Gu Shenyi a look. Only someone like her with a female lead halo would fall for this fraudulent contract and take it seriously.

Wei Ying passed the paper back and shook her head, "Miss Gu, I can't trust you even if you show me this. Besides, I don't want revenge at all. I only wish for a peaceful life."

Gu Shenyi bit her lip, "Miss Shi, please don't be quick to refuse."

After thinking for a while, Gu Shenyi looked at Wei Ying with firm eyes, "I actually want revenge for another reason."

Gu Shenyi went on about recounting her background.

She was a child that was left behind in front of an orphanage. When she was 5 years old, a kind lady adopted her and the two depended on each other to live.

When Gu Shenyi grew up a little, the woman's mental state condition became worse. Gu Shenyi later got to know that her adoptive mother was the mistress of Mr. Yu.

The two had been together for years and her mom believed that Mr. Yu would eventually marry her. However, such a thing never happened. And what happened instead was that Madam Yu got to know of her existence and started making trouble for her.

Mr. Yu got tired of all the trouble so he abandoned her mom and found a new mistress.

Gu Shenyi's adoptive mom loved Mr. Yu with all she had got so his abandonment hit her like a speeding train and made her so sad and heartbroken that she got depression.

Later, Gu Shenyi's adoptive mom tried to reconnect with Mr. Yu but she got cut off and humiliated by him.

Gu Shenyi's adoptive mom couldn't take it anymore and she committed suicide.

Gu Shenyi has lost the only family member she had. She lived in a daze, mourning her mother with an ever-growing hatred for Mr. Yu, his wife, and his entire family.

As she grew up and she was 23, someone approached her with promised revenge and that was what led to Gu Shenyi becoming a maid in the Yu Household and signing such a humiliating contract with Yu Huateng.

Wei Ying was speechless. Very very speechless.

So this was the mysterious reason that was never ever disclosed for Gu Shenyi's revenge?

Now Wei Ying understood why this was never disclosed. Gu Shenyi, as the female lead, couldn't have such a background where she was the adoptive daughter of a mistress of the male lead's father.

In the case that Gu Shenyi didn't have such a background as the lost daughter of some wealthy family, such a background should never be disclosed so as to not gather the criticism of the people.

The more Wei Ying thought about it, the weirder she felt. According to what Gu Shenyi said, wasn't she technically Yu Huateng's stepsister?

The duck? How did Gu Shenyi find it in herself to sleep with someone who was, technically speaking, her stepbrother? And how did she end up marrying him and having his children knowing all of this?

Didn't she say that she loved her adoptive mom and hated the Yu Family? How did things end up in such a way?

Amitabha Buddha, Wei Ying chanted as the images of Yu Huateng and Gu Shenyi doing it refreshed in her mind with an added halo of stepbrother x stepsister.

Wei Ying coughed in her hand to hide the weird expression on her face and the goosebumps that raised on her body, "I can't exactly trust you, but I think I can help."

Gu Shenyi smiled with tears in her eyes, "Miss Shi, thank you so much. I don't know how to thank you enough. I really really appreciate your help."

Wei Ying waved Gu Shenyi's thanks and the two talked and coordinated their plan.

After everything, Gu Shenyi thanked Wei Ying once more before leaving.

As she turned around, Gu Shenyi's eyes deepened and a small smile rose on her lips.

Once Gu Shenyi left, Wei Ying's expression turned indifferent, and she saved the recording on her phone.

Something was definitely wrong with Gu Shenyi as Tian Xue told her.

Wei Ying made several copies of the recording and put them away. Whatever Gu Shenyi was planning to do, she would take it head-on.

Wei Ying still didn't forget her mission of making that pair of scums pay.

Gu Shenyi, on the other hand, stood in front of Wei Ying's community and looked back before climbing the car that stopped in front of her.

Gu Shenyi was silent the whole way till she reached Yu Huateng's company. Gu Shenyi touched up her makeup and sorted out her clothes before going into the company and directly into the elevator.
