Wei Ying opened the door. Yu Huateng breathed a sigh of relief. As he was about to speak, he saw the suitcases and fell silent.

"Yu'er,…" Yu Huateng called weakly, feeling strength leaving his body. "Please don't do this to me. You know how much I love you, don't you? You're hurting my heart like this."

"Yu Huateng," Wei Ying's expression was indifferent, "Tell me, do you love that maid?"

Yu Huateng opened and closed his mouth for a few seconds.

Wei Ying sneered seeing Yu Huateng's hesitation. Yu Huateng was usually a skilled liar. He could spout the most outrageous lies with a straight face and no sense of shame. However now, he was hesitating to answer her question.

"Your reaction gave me the answer I need," Wei Ying stroked her hair, "I wish you and that woman happiness. May you live and prosper together."

Wei Ying pushed Yu Huateng out of her way and took long strides with a suitcase in each hand.

"Yu'er," Yu Huateng's mom called, "Don't be rash. Can't you give Ah Teng a second chance? He was only deceived by that woman and didn't know any better. Ah Teng has loved you for so many years, don't be too harsh."

Harsh!! Wei Ying let out a laugh. Yu Huateng's mom really had a way with words. Now she became the bad guy for having a spine and clear boundaries.

"Madam Yu," Wei Ying looked at Yu Huateng's mom faintly with a smile, "Not everyone is like you. If you can accept your husband's repeated betrayal, it doesn't mean I also have to bear such a life."

Yu Huateng's mom's face changed. This was her sore spot. The fact that Mr. Yu cheated on her and him being so open and loud about it brought her endless shame and humiliation. How dare Shi Yuxi bring this up? Didn't she have any sense of measure when speaking?

"Shi Yuxi," Yu Huateng's mom's face was red and her eyes were wide and angry.

Wei Ying pursed her lips in a smile, "Madam Yu, since your son and his mistress are a happy couple, then I wish them all the best." Wei Ying turned to look at Yu Huateng who was standing like a statue, "Don't worry, I won't interfere in the relationship between you and that maid. I will feel bad if I break such a perfect match."

Wei Ying didn't pay attention to Yu Huateng's mom's repeated changed expression and Yu Huateng's rock-like form as she descended the stairs and left in her car.

Downstairs, Gu Shenyi "ambushed" Wei Ying and knelt in front of her with a loud thud of her knees, "Miss Shi, please forgive me."

Wei Ying didn't bother to hide her eye roll, "Miss, don't worry. I know that you and Yu Huateng are a happy couple. Like I told Yu Huateng, I won't interfere in the relationship between you two, you can be at ease."

Wei Ying moved sideways and left. As she reached the door, Wei Ying saw Tian Xue standing under a tree.

Wei Ying smiled at her and winked as she pointed her chin to the phone.

Tian Xue returned the smile and nodded.

Tian Xue returned back inside and saw the still kneeling Gu Shenyi.

Suddenly, Tian Xue felt that her previous feelings for Yu Huateng were meaningless. Tian Xue has loved Yu Huateng's loyalty, handsomeness, and bravery since the first day she saw him.

Over the years she worked here, she cherished every moment they had contact and hoped for some miracle to happen and Yu Huateng would finally notice her and love her back.

Tian Xue never imagined that all the qualities she loved in Yu Huateng would turn out to be false. The man wasn't brave as she thought, wasn't loyal as she thought and although he was handsome, his fickleness overshadowed every other advantage he had.

Yu Huateng was no different from the other man who had money.

Tian Xue breathed a sigh of relief. Her chest and body felt lighter. Tian Xue's phone rang.

Seeing the five zeros next to the 5, Tian Xue smiled. There was nothing better than money. Thanks to Miss Shi, she made good money to help her sister pay for college and afford a better life for her aged mother.

Tian Xue hummed as she cleaned the hall with the other servants. Life was good.

On the other hand, Yu Huateng's mom descended the stairs with a fierce look. Seeing the dazed, kneeling Gu Shenyi, Yu Huateng's mom glared at her fiercely, "Is this what you want? Have your wish finally come true? Are you happy now?"

Gu Shenyi looked at Yu Huateng's mom blankly before her tears fell down like a fountain. Gu Shenyi shook her head repeatedly, "No, no, I never wanted this to happen. I never thought this would happen."

"If Shi Yuxi doesn't come back home," Yu Huateng's mom spoke through gritted teeth, her hands trembling from her tight hold, "then you are in a world of trouble."

Gu Shenyi wept silently. What is she to do now? How to solve this problem?

She never wished for Miss Shi to leave. Would anyone believe her? She wasn't happy with this situation at all.

Her reputation was ruined. Many people saw her naked and sleeping with Yu Huateng. What was she to do now? How was she supposed to continue living?

Gu Shenyi raised her head and looked at the other servants who were giving her dirty looks. With a burning face, Gu Shenyi stood up and ran away to her room.

Wei Ying opened her car window and let the breeze hit her face. Music was loud in the car and she sang along with so much passion.

Finally, she was out of that house. She no longer has to act like she was blind, deaf, and dumb.

Parking in front of one of the houses Shi Yuxi owned, Wei Ying walked with a sway of hips and a twist of her waist.

Wei Ying made a beeline to the small bar in the house and poured a glass of champagne.

"For freedom," Wei Ying cheered to no one in particular before downing her glass.

Pouring herself another glass, Wei Ying changed her clothes first before taking some cheese and other side dishes.

Wei Ying sat on the sofa comfortably with a table full of side dishes and wine. This was life, Wei Ying savored the rich and creamy cheese.

Wei Ying sipped her red wine and opened the TV to watch some dramas.

Such a peaceful and leisurely life wasn't available in the apocalypse, Wei Ying sighed with emotion. She should cherish this peace and quiet till another task with such peace comes again.

 Later that night, Wei Ying received a video from Tian Xue.

Yu Huateng was drinking heavily. He held a bottle in hand and sipped from its mouth, causing the red liquid to slip down his chin to his neck and down to his white shirt that had a huge red stain.

Gu Shenyi approached Yu Huateng. With pain in her heart, Gu Shenyi held her aching chest.

"Yu Huateng, please don't punish yourself like this," Gu Shenyi put a hand on Yu Huateng's shoulder and pushed him gently. "Miss Shi will definitely come back. She loves you so much, she would forgive you. I will help you ask for her forgiveness."

Gu Shenyi had tears in the corner of her eyes, "If I leave, everything will turn back as it was. I will do that for you so please don't drink too much. it's bad for your health."

Yu Huateng didn't seem to hear Gu Shenyi's words and merely pushed Gu Shenyi's hand while saying drunk, "Leave me alone. It's none of your business what I do."

Gu Shenyi bit her lip as she wept silently, causing droplets of tears to stick to her long eyelashes, "How can I leave you while you're in this state? I can't do that Yu Huateng, I love you too much to leave you hurt alone."

Yu Huateng didn't answer Gu Shenyi and merely downed the content of his bottle.

Gu Shenyi cried loudly, "If you love Shi Yuxi this much, then what were you doing to me? What am I to you, Yu Huateng? Answer me, what am I to you?"

Gu Shenyi held Yu Huateng's collar and pulled him to her, "What am I to you, huh? Did you ever love me even for a little?"

Yu Huateng sneered, "How can I love someone like you? You're at most pretty. You're inelegant, loose, know only to cry, and uneducated to boost. If not for your body and I knew someone sent you as a spy, who would care about you anyway? Don't overestimate your abilities, bitch."

Yu Huateng felt crashing pain and guilt as the words left his mouth but he quickly composed himself. Anyway, it wasn't like he was lying. And Gu Shenyi was the reason his fiancée left. If not for her seducing him, how could he care about her? Why would he sympathize with her and care about her feelings after all this?
