Gu Shenyi fell to the ground and let out a cry of pain. As she looked at Yu Huateng stunned, her eyesight nearly went black seeing the change of his expression and how he quickly went to Wei Ying and took her hand in his.

Gu Shenyi felt a pit of pain in her stomach. The sadness overwhelmed her and made her body faintly tremble as cold sweat covered her body.

Gu Shenyi couldn't hold up the nausea she felt, and she vomited all over the ground.

Tian Xue who just came to the scene looked at Wei Ying briefly before shrieking, "Gu Shenyi are you alright? Why did you suddenly vomit, are you pregnant?"

Gu Shenyi, Yu Huateng, and his mom all visibly froze in their places.

Gu Shenyi's eyes blackened for a moment, and she shook her head in disbelief.

Yu Huateng's face twisted in rage and his hold on Wei Ying tightened.

"Yu'er, I didn't mean it." Yu Huateng turned to look at Wei Ying, his eyes complicated and faintly panicked.

"Big Brother Teng, care to explain what I just saw?" Wei Ying asked again.

Yu Huateng's mom had a bad feeling in her heart, "Yu'er, let's see what's up with that maid first."

Wei Ying pursed her lips, her expression stubborn.

Yu Huateng's head throbbed, "Yu'er, you misunderstood me. I was merely letting that maid wipe my body after I swam in the pool. There is nothing between us."

Yu Huateng didn't answer his mom's question and hugged Wei Ying tightly, "Yu'er, I am sorry. I swear I didn't mean to hurt you and I am not involved with that maid. I only kept her close so I could use her and pass false information to the person he sent her. You should know my character."

Yu Huateng had a look of pain on his face as he cupped Wei Ying's face, "Yu'er, I never realized you were hurting this much. I thought I was protecting you by not involving you in this matter, but I didn't realize I was hurting you instead and you were holding all this pain in your heart."

Wei Ying's eyes turned red and she looked down, "Big Brother Teng, are you telling the truth?"

"I am," Yu Huateng nodded firmly.

"Then I want that maid fire, will you let me?" Wei Ying observed Yu Huateng's expression.

Yu Huateng looked at Gu Shenyi who was supported by Tian Xue, "Yes, you can do whatever you want with her. If you wish, I can make it so that she can never find a job in this city."

Wei Ying's lips twitched as she looked at Gu Shenyi. Did you hear what your man said? He can sacrifice you at the drop of the hat.

Wei Ying looked away from Gu Shenyi's stunned expression, "Big Brother Teng, I don't mind her staying here, but I don't want to see you two together ever again. If you want to talk to her, I must be present."

Yu Huateng let out a sigh of relief before smiling, "I promise you. Yu'er, you still understand me best."

Wei Ying pursed her lips and didn't answer, "Let's call a doctor and see what's wrong with her."

Yu Huateng's mom who just breathed a sigh of relief, got her breath stuck. What if this woman is really pregnant? What would happen next?

Yu Huateng's mom wanted to say something but when she saw Wei Ying's resolute expression she kept silent.

Shi Yuxi wasn't that stupid. Although she forgave Yu Huateng, she certainly had her doubts and wanted to make sure she wasn't being fooled.

"You shouldn't take Big Brother Teng's words seriously. He is only sharp-tongued but in fact, he is so warm inside." Wei Ying fakely comforted. Who didn't know to say a few comforting words? Only her words weren't so comforting and held knives inside.

Gu Shenyi cried in her hand. Yes, Yu Huateng was warm. Only he wasn't warm to her. All his burning love, patience, and tolerance were only kept for Miss Shi.
