1.1 - The Yu Family's Maid

Wei Ying staggered a bit before stabilizing herself on a shelf.

In front of her was a big closet filled with men's clothes, watches, and perfume. The décor inside was low-key and luxurious.

Wei Ying touched the silky blue pajamas on her hand and sat down.

Just earlier, she was in the ruins of the base abandoned by the higher-ups, killing zombies and protecting the civilians till they evacuated. Wei Ying felt disoriented and couldn't get accustomed to the luxury and peace around her for a while.

Such peace and cleanliness were impossible to find in the apocalypse.

Wei Ying sighed and sat on a nearby sofa. "728, what should I do now?" asked Wei Ying out loud.

[Agent Wei Ying can talk to me telepathically.] 728 mechanical voice sounded, [I will pass the plot and memories for you now.]

Wei Ying waited for a while and a book appeared in her mind.

The world she was in now was based on a romance novel with a large cup of sadomasochism.

To take revenge, the female lead of this world, Gu Shenyi, disguised herself as a maid and joined the staff of the sole heir of the Yu family, Yu Huateng.

Yu Huateng knew Gu Shenyi was sent by a business rival, so he humiliated her and made things difficult for her.

Yu Huateng liked Gu Shenyi's stubborn expression and the way she didn't defend herself and only held back her tears, so he became enamored with her and before he knew it, he fell for her, and he fell hard.

As the two waltz their romance amidst misunderstandings and vicious supporting characters, Gu Shenyi and Yu Huateng achieved their happy ending, got married, and had two adorable children.

The original owner of the body Wei Ying is residing in is called Shi Yuxi.

Shi Yuxi was Yu Huanteng's fiancée and a cannon fodder that was quickly dealt with.

Shi Yuxi was from a wealthy family. Her parents died young and her grandfather arranged everything for her before he died.

Shi Yuxi thought she would pass this life uneventfully and bask in the wealth her parents and grandfather left her with the person she loved, however, since Gu Shenyi joined the manor, life has been filled with trouble and arguments.

Every other day, the atmosphere would be tense because of Gu Shenyi and Yu Huateng's quarrels.

Shi Yuxi suspected Gu Shenyi had some kind of agenda so she tailed her one time and found her holding a hidden camera and a USB drive.

Shi Yuxi wanted to tell Yu Huateng what she found but Gu Shenyi quickly tackled her causing her to fall from the stairs and fall into a coma and be determined brain dead.

What others didn't know was that Shi Yuxi's soul started wandering around and she watched as Yu Huateng only smiled when she fell and watched as Gu Shenyi quickly took the camera and USB drive from her hand.

Yu Huateng watched the whole thing and only muttered that his kitten sure was wild and had many secrets.

Shi Yuxi felt disgusted as she watched Yu Huateng use her name to make Gu Shenyi jealous.

The thing that made Shi Yuxi full of hatred was how Yu Huateng found the secret to her safe in the bank and used her riches to flaunt them around and give her jewelry to Gu Shenyi to make her happy.

It was with her inheritance that Yu Huateng gave Gu Shenyi the wedding of the century and the two lived carefreely with their children.

Wei Ying felt speechless and read the plot again.

After making sure she didn't miss anything, Wei Ying asked in confusion, 'What about Gu Shenyi's revenge?'

Didn't this whole farce start with Gu Shenyi wanting revenge, then where was the revenge? What is the thing she even wanted to get revenge for? Who did she want to get revenge on? There was no mention of it except in the couple first chapters.

Aside from revenge, why did Gu Shenyi end up with Yu Huateng, the man who tormented her and humiliated her in various ways?

How could Gu Shenyi sleep at night knowing she pushed an innocent person from the stairs and quite literally killed them?

What was she reading? Wei Ying held her head with a puzzled expression.

Seeing 728 didn't answer her, Wei Ying sighed. Perhaps, the author forgot about the whole revenge thing which influenced Gu Shenyi to forget her purpose in infiltrating the Yu Family's house.

'What should I do now?' asked Wei Ying as she stood up.

[Fulfill Shi Yuxi's wishes.] 728 paused and added:

[1- Don't let Yu Huateng take her inheritance.

2- Make the scum pair pay for what they did.]

Wei Ying nodded, took the clothes, and headed to the bathroom.

While walking, Wei Ying skimmed through Shi Yuxi's memory.

From what Wei Ying could see, Yu Huateng never really loved this fiancée and only wanted her for her large inheritance.

Perhaps, Shi Yuxi also knew of this deep down but chose to act like she didn't know.

Shi Yuxi grew up sheltered and never had to face the real world.

Before her parents died, she was dependent on them and after they died Shi Yuxi depended on her grandfather.

Later, Yu Huateng got into the picture and she depended on him after her grandfather passed away.

Shi Yuxi was a dodder flower through and through. She never had to worry about anything or work hard for it. All she had to worry about was how to spend money and spend even more money.

If before, Wei Ying would have said that this kind of life was meaningless, but after she experienced the apocalypse, Wei Ying digressed. She also wanted a life where survival wasn't the primary concern and her biggest concern would be how to spend money every day.

Reaching the bathroom, Wei Ying was speechless by the two rows of servants that stood in front of it.

Yu Huateng really thought he was some sort of emperor to have all these servants waiting on him and had Shi Yuxi bring him clothes.

Controlling the twitching of her cheeks, Wei Ying entered the bathroom. What greeted her eyes was Gu Shenyi sitting on Yu Huateng's lap and the latter kissing her senseless.

Gu Shenyi's maid clothes were wet, and the white of her dress became transparent, outlining her pale skin and her beautiful curves.

Yu Huateng, on the other hand, was naked as a newborn baby. His abs were impossibly perfect and his muscular hands held Gu Shenyi's waist and pushed her down on his hard dongdong.

Did she open the door the wrong way?

Wei Ying coughed to catch the two's attention.

Yu Huateng quickly reacted and pushed Gu Shenyi away, making her fall from the tub and onto the floor. Gu Shenyi's expression was a mixture of pleasure and shock.

Yu Huateng quickly stood up and put a towel around his waist, "Yu'er, this woman seduced me."

'You would sounded more convincing if your dongdong wasn't raising the towel in salute,' Wei Ying complained internally as she watched that deep V line and that 9-inch dongdong. The novels didn't lie to her. That aside, did she look like she was dumb? Yu Huateng can't be thinking she believed his words, can he?

Wei Ying watched Yu Huateng's indignant expression and confirmed, yes, Yu Huateng really did think she was that dumb and blind to boost.

Wei Ying rolled her eyes internally and passed the clothes to Yu Huateng with a gentle expression.

Turning her face to look at the female lead, Wei Ying showed a disgusted expression full of contempt, "What's your name?"

Gu Shenyi was still in shock when this question reached her ears. Gu Shenyi raised her head and looked at this beautiful woman who was overlooking her with disdain and couldn't help blushing in shame.

Lowering her head, she answered, "Gu Shenyi."

"Gu Shenyi, huh?" Wei Ying repeated before turning around indifferently, "You were hired to serve the family and do the tasks assigned to you by Housekeeper Huai. You weren't hired to seduce your employer. I don't want to see this situation happening again, do you understand?"

Gu Shenyi wanted to refute. She didn't seduce Yu Huateng. He was the one who pulled her and kissed her forcefully. She didn't do anything wrong.

Gu Shenyi bit her lower lip and grievance and looked at Yu Huateng. The man had a smirk on his face as he watched her with amusement.

He did it intentionally. Gu Shenyi felt a bolt of lightning hit her and her body trembled.

Wei Ying frowned and looked at Gu Shenyi, "Do you understand what I am saying?" Wei Ying's voice was cold and louder as she asked again.

"Yes, Miss Shi." Gu Shenyi looked down, her eyes filled with tears.

"If you understand, then go to housekeeper Huai and receive your punishment." Wei Ying raised her chin and overlooked Gu Shenyi like she was an ant.

It made Gu Shenyi feel so small and inferior and a fire burned in her heart. Yu Huateng would pay for humiliating her like this today.

"Yes, Miss Shi." Gu Shenyi replied between gritted teeth.

"Leave." Wei Ying ordered.
