CHAPTER NINE

KYUNG EUNSOO

I grabbed a book and pen and scribbled down everything dad had said. I opened my laptop and typed in 'Tiger Corp'. It looked like a pretty boring company, they deal with registration of names ,marriage, issuing of passports and change of name. Nothing illegal or out of the ordinary. I slumped in my chair in frustration. Finals were around the corner and there's still this stuff with dad.

I grabbed my things and left immediately the closing bell rang. I headed straight to the restaurant since MinAh was already there. I walked into the restaurant and noticed someone with their back to the door,behind the counter.

" Must be a new part timer " I muttered before dropping my bag on the table beside me.

" Eunsoo?"

I know that voice. I turned around with a puzzled expression on my face there he was....

" Ya!! What the fuck are you doing you here? Are you really stalking me? Are you crazy?"

" Relax I.....

" Taemin oppa here are the bowls "

MinAh said while handing him some soup bowls as she walked out of the kitchen.

" Ya.....Kyung MinAh". I called

" Oh oppa you're back"

" What is he doing here? What do you mean by ' Taemin oppa'?"

" Oh.....he's our new part timer. He's older than I am so ofcourse I should call him oppa.....and besides he's really good looking. Just like an Idol"

" Ya! You don't even know him. He could be some weird stalker "

" Ya!! Taemin oppa don't mind him okay? He's a little crazy"

MinAh said and walked into the kitchen.

" Ya!! Idiot where's mum?"

" She went to get groceries now leave me alone "

MinAh yelled back from the kitchen. I turned around when I heard giggling.

" What are you laughing at?"

" You guys are cute"

" Cute my ass. Are you really stalking me?"

" I've told you before.....I'm not"

" Fine.....I...I'm sorry if I sounded rude earlier. I was just surprised to see you here"

" Wow"

" What?"

" I like hearing you apologize and you look cute when you do too"

" Arrghh"

I groaned before walking over to my bag and picking it up.

" Eunsoo....are you leaving already?"

" No"

I stared at him expecting him to say he else. I walked out when he didn't. We had more customers today,than we have had the past few days. I could see some girls giggle and blush whenever Taemin walked by. I watched him smile smile at the girl he was serving as she said something to him.

" Hmmph what a flirt"

Taemin and I were doing the dishes while mum and MinAh were laying our dinner on the table after the last customer left.

UNKNOWN POV

I let the smoke go out through my nose as I stared at him.

" You're a tough one"

" What do you people want?"

" I want you to confess to the crime. It's that simple"

" You people killed that man and now you want me to take responsibility for your crime? How pathetic?"

" Come on....you think I'm pathetic? You're the one who is about to be put in jail or killed"

" Why didn't you people just kill me that night? I'm sure it would have been very easy for you to have had me killed "

" You're right. It would have been very easy but it would have been no fun. Besides spreading the news would remind the people who want to have second thoughts,that we.....hold on.....are you trying to milk information from me?"

" What are you talking about?"

" I heard your son came to see you. I don't mind taking your family....you know that right?"

" Don't you dare touch my family "

" Your son's name is Eunsoo and your daughter is MinAh right? They're lovely kids. They help their mum at the restaurant often"

" I'll kill you"

I got off my chair and walked towards him. I sat on the table and pulled his chair towards me before placing the lit cigarette butt on his cheek. A smile danced on my lips as he shrieked in pain and tried to wriggle his hand free.

" I don't think you understand what position you're in. I don't mind bringing you the peeled off faces of your children and wife along with their faceless,lifeless bodies "

" Fine...I'll do whatever you want. Just leave my family out of this. okay?"

" Wise decision "

I patted him on the cheek and walked out of the room.

" As of now, no more visitors for him okay?"

" Yes sir"

" Good night detective "

KYUNG EUNSOO

Mum,MinAh and I took our seat and were about to eat when Taemin walked out with his bag.

" I'll be going now. Goodnight ma'am"

" Taemin come....join us for dinner and you can call me mum since you're friends with Eunsoo. He doesn't have a lot of friends and I was surprised when you came today and said you were his friend. He's a shy person"

" Mum...". I groaned and bowed my head.

" Haha....can I really join you?"

" Just sit already"

I said as I scooped some rice into my plate. Taemin took his seat beside me and I felt my chest tighten. Today's dinner was way better. Everyone was all smiles and there were no awkward moments. Taemin had been staring at me and I had caught his eyes a few times.

" Thank you so much for the food"

" It's fine. Take this kimchi. Eat it with your mum"

" Thank you so much"

" Goodnight Taemin oppa "

" Goodnight MinAh"

" Hold on....Eunsoo will walk you to the bus stop"

I glanced up from my phone as I heard my name.

" Mum.....shouldn't you ask me first?"

" Oh....come on. It's getting late I don't want him to walk alone "

" Is he your son or am I your son?"

" Stop being a baby"

I walked along with Taemin,up the alley and into the main street. I was a few inches taller but he was pretty tall too. I watched him struggle with the kimchi container and couldn't help but smile at how cute he looked.

" Do you need me to help you with that?"

" I'm fine. I can handle it"

" I'm not worried about you. You're just slowing us down"

" Fine. Take it". He said and shoved it into my arms.

" It's not even heavy. You should exercise more"

" I don't like exercising. It makes me sweaty and I hate sweating "

I laughed really hard when I heard what he said.

" Don't laugh. I really hate sweating. It makes my body itch"

I laughed harder on purpose, to tease him.

" Ya....stop it"

" Fine....but next time, I'm not helping you carry anything "

" Whatever "

We walked for a while in silence until I felt him staring at me.

" What?"

" You should smile often"

I stared at him for a while and then kept walking. We got to the bus stop and sat.

" Wow"

I heard Taemin mutter and turned to look at him. He was holding a necklace in his hand.

" It would look pretty on you "

I heard the woman say as I walked closer

" I don't really know. Eunsoo what do you think?". He said and turned to look at me as he placed the necklace around his neck.

" It's....uhmm...pretty"

" Oh...Is he your boyfriend? He's handsome "

I stared at Taemin waiting for him to correct her but he didn't. He just smiled at her.

" Wow....it's so expensive. Eunsoo let's go. I don't think I can buy it. Bye ma'am "

I handed him the container as he climbed into the bus. I watched him leave before turning around to go home. I caught a glimpse of the woman, from the corner of my eye and I turned around.

LEE TAEMIN

" There's no need to feel guilty. Eunsoo I'm sorry but if hanging around you will help me figure out what is going on, then that's what I'll do "
