"Is there something wrong?" Princess Rhyne stepped forward, her eyes wide with concern.

Callis looked at each of them, his gaze gentle. "The lord has been among you for a long time, guiding and protecting you. But in doing so, he has broken the sacred rules of being a god. The laws of the gods are clear: we must not interfere directly in the affairs of mortals."

Seymour, a wolf beast, frowned, his voice filled with confusion. "But he helped us fight for our freedom. He's been our strength."

Callis nodded. "Yes, and in doing so, he has given you the tools you need to stand on your own. But now, he must step back. His continued presence would disrupt the balance between the divine and the mortal worlds."

The Crown Princess Elirian's eyes softened with understanding. "The lord did it for us, for Alexio."
