Preparation for Black Mountain

Liang Wei went mission hall to take a mission, he now owed 40 sprite stones to others so he thought, "Might as well earn some sect points while solving the system problem on Black Mountain"

The mission hall is located in the central area of the outer sect, surrounded by various training grounds and cultivation halls. It is a large building made of stone and wood, with multiple levels and spacious halls for the sect members to gather and discuss missions. Liang Wei made his way to the mission hall and searched for a suitable mission on the board there are thousands of tasks on different boards with the most difficult one requiring a ninth level of qi refinement realm.

Liang Wei went to the board with missions on the block mountain. there were many missions on black mountain Liang liked quite a few. currently, his cultivation is in 3rd stage of the qi refinement realm but he can fight the normal 5th stage of the qi refinement realm cultivators. he looked for missions with those requirements.

Collect Spirit Flowers: Requires cultivation at the 3rd stage of the Qi refinement realm. Spirit Flowers grow on matured sprite grass on Black Mountain. reward- 20 sect points and 1 low-grade spirit stone.

Hunt Wild Beasts: Requires cultivation at the 4th stage of the Qi refinement realm. Wild beasts are known to roam the lower slopes of Black Mountain, causing trouble for the locals. Your mission is to hunt and kill them to ensure the safety of the area. reward- 20 sect points and 1 low-grade spirit stone.

Retrieve a lost artifact: Requires cultivation at the 6th stage of the Qi refinement realm. A powerful artifact was lost on the upper slopes of Black Mountain during a recent battle. Your mission is to find and retrieve the artifact before it falls into the wrong hands. reward- 200 sect points and 50 low-grade spirit stones.

Scout for potential mineral deposits: Requires cultivation at the 7th stage of the Qi refinement realm. The Heavenly Sword Sect is always on the lookout for new sources of valuable minerals. Your mission is to explore the mountain and report back on any potential deposits that you find. reward- 100 sect points and 100 low-grade spirit stones.

Clear out a demon nest: Requires cultivation at the 8th stage of the Qi refinement realm. A group of powerful demons has taken up residence in a cave on Black Mountain. Your mission is to eliminate the threat and secure the area for the sect. reward- 1000 sect points and 200 low-grade spirit stones.

Ascend to the summit of Black Mountain: Requires cultivation at the 9th stage of the Qi refinement realm. The summit of Black Mountain is shrouded in mystery, with many secrets waiting to be uncovered. Your mission is to reach the top and report back on anything of interest that you find. the highest-level mission on black mountain. reward- unknown.

Liang approached the mission hall elder and greeted the elder in charge. "Greetings, Elder. I would like to take on some missions," he said.

The elder looked up from his desk and nodded. "Of course, what level of the mission are you interested in?"

"I am currently at the 3rd stage of the Qi refinement realm, but I have the strength to fight 5 stages, so I would like to take on some missions at that level on black mountain," Liang replied.

"but didn't new dispel join the sect four months ago? If your fighting power is so high why is your cultivation so low?" The elder not believing him. Even the worst disciples are already at 5th stage.

"I thought, with luck, I might find potential mineral deposits on lower floors", Liang Wei said.

The elder looked at him like he is looking at a fool but still approved of them and recorded them in Liang Wei's name. "Do you have any questions about the missions?"

Liang shook his head. "No, I think I understand the objectives. can you tell me about the rewards for these missions?"

"For Collect Spirit Flowers and Hunt Wild Beasts, you will receive 20 Sect points and 1 low-grade spirit stone each. For Scout for potential mineral deposits, you will receive 100 Sect points and 100 low-grade spirit stones."

Liang nodded in satisfaction. "Thank you, Elder. I will get started on these missions right away."

Liang Wei walked out of the mission hall with a determined look on his face. He knew he needed to prepare well for his upcoming missions on Black Mountain. He had 8 low-grade spirit stones in his pocket, so he went to a nearby shop to buy the necessary items.

He went to a food stall and bought some dried meat and nuts for 1 low-grade spirit stone. Then he went to a nearby merchant who sold basic camping supplies and bought a sturdy tent, a bedroll, a canteen, and some flint for starting a fire for 1 low-grade spirit stone. he went to a medicinal herb store and bought some healing herbs for any potential injuries for 1 low-grade spirit stone

He entered a small shop filled with various cultivation tools and supplies. The shopkeeper, an elderly man, looked up and greeted Liang with a smile.

"Hello. young cultivator, what can I do for you today?" the shopkeeper asked.

Liang Wei approached the counter and said, "I need to buy some supplies for my mission on Black Mountain. Can you help me?"

"Of course, my shop has many things," the shopkeeper replied.

Liang began browsing the shelves and picking out the items he needed. He bought a set of high-quality knives, a bottle to store herbs for 2 low-grade spirit stones, a set of healing pills for 2 low-grade spirit stones, and a map of Black Mountain for 1 low-grade spirit stone.

As Liang Wei was about to leave the shop, the shopkeeper called out to him. "Young cultivator, I have one more item that might be useful for you. It's a talisman that can protect you from evil spirits on Black Mountain. It's a bit expensive, but it could save your life."

Liang Wei considered for a moment and decided to buy it, "Okay, I will buy it how much is it?" But as he put his hand in his pocket, he remembered he spent all his money.

As Liang Wei looked at the talisman he just got, he began to wonder about its capabilities. He decided to ask the system for the talisman's stats.

"System, what are the stats of this talisman?" Liang Wei asked. The talisman looked kinda cool, he wondered if the shop owner is a hidden big-shot cultivator.

The system beeped and responded, "The talisman has the ability to make you appear more attractive to the opposite sex."

Liang Wei was puzzled. "Really? That's it?"

The system beeped again, "I'm sorry, it appears that this talisman is a fake. It doesn't have any real abilities."

Liang Wei sighed in frustration. "Well, what waste of spirit stones would have it been if I bought it for 10 spite stones? At least it might make for a good prank on my friends."

He decided to try out the fake talisman and went out to the market to see if anyone would notice his supposed increased attractiveness. However, it didn't seem to work, and he was left feeling a little embarrassed.

Liang Wei shook his head and laughed at himself, realizing that he should be more careful with his spirit stones or another scammer will scam him.

"Anyway, I am officially broke, I don't even have a single sprite stone and I have 40 spirit stones in debt, My life sure is beautiful" Laing Wei teased himself.

Liang Wei set out early in the morning to begin his mission on Black Mountain. He walked through the outer sect and up towards the mountain, taking in the fresh air and beautiful scenery around him.

Liang Wei walked along a winding path that led to the base of Black Mountain. The road was surrounded by tall trees, and the sound of chirping birds filled the air. The sun was high in the sky, casting a warm glow over the landscape.

As he walked, he noticed a group of travelers up ahead. They were wearing tattered clothes and carrying heavy packs on their backs. They looked exhausted and were resting on the side of the road.

Liang Wei approached them and asked, "Are you all right? Do you need any help?"
