Chapter 2. Convincing Mother

[Plan B]

Don't eat food, act sulky and convince mother. I know this sounds super childish but I can't just run away. Simply because I don't know the way out.

Since I was already locked up in my room, there was nothing else I can do rather than waiting for dinner time.

While waiting I decided to read a book. The title of the book was 'The Serial Killer'.

As I started reading the book, I got so immersed in it that I didn't even realise it was already dinner time.

I loved books related to mystery and politics so it's obvious to forget about time.

Either way, where's mom? shouldn't she ask me for dinner? Don't tell me she is ignoring me.

Anyway, I think I will wait for a bit and finish reading the book.

It was getting darker so I placed a hurricane lamp on the side table and lit it.

I was reading the ending part and the most thrilling part of the book but suddenly my mom bragged into my room.

My frustration level skyrocketed to heaven and I was super pissed off.

Why do I feel like my mother's sole purpose in life is to interrupt whatever I was doing? I know it wasn't on purpose but still, I was annoyed.

I looked at my mom while pouting. Just to notice she brought a plate full of food. All the dishes on it were my favourite.

I tried to hide my smile by directing my face away from her and back to the book. I promised I won't get shaken by this. I ignored my mom and pretended to read the story.

Why pretend?? Hello, Does your mind work when your stomach is empty. Cause mine doesn't. Even if I try to read I can't cause my brain will not respond and act as if the letters are of some alien language.

"So, you're not going to eat your dinner even when I spent 2 hours in the kitchen especially to prepare all your favourite dishes" my mom tried to emotionally manipulate me.

'Ha, I know all your tactics mother, I'm not a baby anymore.' I thought while continuing with my silent treatment which I learned from mom. Haha

It's funny how I'm using my mother tricks on mother itself.

I'm not a stubborn girl so my mother's simple tricks used to work on me easily.

But this time I suppose mother will have a hard time trying to convince me but at the end of the day, she will have to give up.
