The Message

    I hate myself, I know that I don't have any right to feel jealous and hurt, because Prince Flynn and Avery had been an affianced couple.

Avery noticed me staring at them, she grinned at me with a menacing look on her face, then she puts her head on his chest, then my eyes become wide when he caresses her back. I turned away trying to run as far away from the academy, but strong hands captured my waist and hand, in swift moment I am on the dance floor with the handsome heir of Elpizo.

I immediately felt a sense of deja vu. I clearly remember, the last time Prince Gregory is this close to me, when we were dancing at the Engagement party. Right now, Prince Flynn is having the same expression again, it seems he is so angry looking at me dancing so close to Prince Gregory. He is really hard to understand, I don't know, it seems he really felt something deeper for me. I know my heart is giving me false hope again. I hope this time, Prince Flynn will not kiss her, or else I will really go into hiding for good.

I can see that Avery is trying her best to be kissed by Prince Flynn again, but I am glad that he is not in the mood this time. I am aware of Prince Gregory's warm hands, then I noticed that everybody stopped dancing, all the fairies are looking in our direction, even Flynn returned to his seat looking annoyed, and I think Avery wanted to murder me.

     I felt my whole face flushed with embarrassment and excitement. I wanted to feel special, and this minute, this gorgeous man dancing slowly with me is gazing at me, like I am the only star shining in the sky, on a starless night. Then I suddenly remember, that I should not be the center of attention, my whole face and figure is so visible now to everyone, especially to the member of the royal family. My heart is beating so fast, I can't control the panic that started to show on my face.

     My Aunt Thalia saves me from this very awkward moment, she is clapping her hands and it echoed throughout the venue, all the fairies stand up and bow down their heads and kneeled down. They knew it was my aunt who is clapping, even Gregory lead me to his seat, then we kneeled down and bow down our heads. My aunt grabbed the attention because she knows I don't want to be the center of attention, because I am still a common fairy in the eyes of my fellow students.

     The Goddess Chair illuminated with different colorful lights conjured by my aunt.

    "Welcome everyone! I am so honored that after ten years I can talk to you again, your offerings are enormous, I would like to thank each one of you for finding time to attend this historical event in my honor, I am happy to see that royal fairies are having a good relationship with the commoners, we should be united as one for we are all fairies after all. Love one another and always remember, in my eyes you are all equal." She spoke using her angelic voice, some fairies who have heard her voice for the first time cried with happiness.

    "May everlasting peace be with you my children, enjoy the rest of the Festival. I am so happy seeing new talented and powerful students here at the academy. I want to take this opportunity to tell you all, the good news. The downfall of the Dark Kingdom is coming, don't be afraid, for a new hero will rise and be ready to meet the Spektra. We have been waiting for her return and I am asking everyone to give her your full and unwavering support the moment she revealed herself." My aunt stopped talking, but she remained seated in her chair, then the lights of the chair slowly vanish into thin air, everyone experienced tranquility, and unexplainable kind of happiness after hearing my aunt's voice.

     The fairies looked so perplexed, I didn't expect my aunt, to tell them about me. I can see new hope in their faces, I can hear them talking about me excitedly, the message of my aunt really touched the heart and souls of the fairies, who attended the ceremony.

    "Now, I can say, that the prediction about the Fairy Spektra is real, now that the Goddess herself talked to us about her, she is the only person who knows everything." I heard one of the Barons said, to his entire family.

    "I am happy to know that she is real, father." Said Princess Ameline, she is looking up at her father.

    "Of course, the Fairy Spektra is real." King Leo said, he is smiling at his children, only Princess Suzanne is scowling the whole time, I think she is the only one who is unhappy about the Spektra.

     "I don't believe it father, until I will see her in front of me, the moment she appears I would really examine her wings, if she has more colors than mine, and if I can see her true power, that is the only time, I will believe she really exists, and I will bow down to her, but for now, for me she is only a myth." Princess Suzanne said, she is still frowning.

    "Why can't you accept, the fact that there is someone out there, a female fairy who is stronger than you." Said Princess Ameline, I can feel the irritation in her voice.

    "Yes! Stop being jealous, and try to be happy for once." Seconded Princess Celine.

    "Ladies, please stop it, The Goddess might hear you, show some respect." Queen Celestia rebuked her children softly, they all fell silent.

The fairies go back to their designated seat, I stand up but Nick and Gregory hold my hands and asked me to stay with them. I caught Flynn stole a glance in my direction, but he immediately turned away when our eyes met. I can see the ferocious look on Princess Avery's face, she is looking at me without blinking her eyes. I am wondering if she knows about me being the Spektra, or she, is only angry with me, because Prince Flynn stopped dancing with her, and he kept glancing at me, with indecipherable countenance.

    "What is the deal with you and Flynn?" Asked Gregory who noticed my uneasiness.

"It is nothing, he hates me for being a half fairy." I told him a white lie, since Flynn already knew the truth about me.

    "I think it is more than that, I think he can't get his eyes away from you, that is why Princess Avery is looking at you fiercely. Well, it is impossible if he hadn't felt anything towards you, I know him, even we always compete with each other, I know his type very well, I think he is now so jealous that you are with me." He said, still looking at Prince Flynn.

"Don't make me laugh Prince Gregory, I know he hates me to the depth of his soul, okay? Now please excuse me for a moment." I said tenderly.

     I excused myself from them and exited from the venue, I just wanted to have some fresh air, so I go to the garden of the academy. I wanted to forget the image of Avery and Flynn dancing together so sweetly, but my privacy was invaded by the person I wanted to avoid the most.

    "Malia, can I talk to you? Please?" He asked me, I don't want to talk to Flynn anymore, so I stand up, but he blocked my way.

    "What do you want?" I asked him with infuriated voice without looking at his face, because I know the moment I look at him, my defenses will be lost, I don't want to play any of his games anymore, I am tired of being hurt by Flynn.

"I.." He paused for a long time, I don't know what he wants, but I am so excited to hear what he has to say, I waited patiently, even Flynn is avoiding to see my face, I fidgeted while waiting for him to talk.

   "My father wants to talk to you privately, I think this is not the right time, if you can ask Hale to accompany you to the Capital, once the festival is over, and go to the palace the better." He said looking at a distance, I can sense his nervousness, and I know he has something else to say, but can't tell me directly.

"I already talked with King Cassian, when I was in the Palace, the morning before your engagement." I said, I can feel my knees trembling, I can't rationalize the urge to be in his arms again, I can really feel that there is something, so strong that trying to get me close to him, I am trying my best to control myself from running to him.

"That is all." He said and turned his heel going to the venue of the ceremony, but he suddenly stopped.

"Please be extra careful Malia." He said with melancholy in his voice, I don't know, but I have a hunch that Flynn is hiding something from me, or he really just hated the idea of me claiming his throne. I am glad that he left before I throw myself to him, begging him to embrace and kiss me one more time.

    Flynn has been long gone, but I am not in the mood to go back to the banquet, but Freda came looking for me to attend the ending of the offering ceremony, then we spend the rest of the day with Hale's and Nick's family. Together we tour the academy, and we participated in all the games prepared by the committee, the royals forget their usual attitude towards the commoner, they let the commoner's family join the games and mingled with them, I am glad that my aunt has really a voice in the whole fairy land.

Nick is right, Prince Flynn and Prince Gregory love competing with each other. I can see the angry face of Flynn every time our team wins the game, Prince Gregory purposely hugged me every time we won. Then each time the group of Flynn wins the game, Princess Avery kissed his cheek every chance she can get, and it makes me furious.

We won many games together as a team, Gregory is almost better in every game, either it is sports or mind games, Flynn is always his strong contender, I really had fun, and the activity for the day ended successfully. Our team was declared as overall champion. I could really say, Prince Gregory and I have something in common, I can't deny that we are wonderful together.

Prince Gregory took me by surprised, when he picked me up and raised my whole body into the air, our whole team is cheering for us, specially Hale, Nick and Freda. I am really having fun, then he puts me down, back on the ground, and look at me intensely, and unexpectedly he kissed me on the lips, my whole world suddenly stopped, I don't know if it was because it was so sudden, or I was lost because of Flynn's love that I can never have. I kissed Prince Gregory back passionately, while closing my eyes. He is really a good kisser, he left me so breathless, until I realized he already stopped kissing me.

    Then I heard a loud smacked, when I opened my eyes, I saw Prince Flynn and Prince Gregory fighting each other, they are not using their magic, they continue punching each other using their fists, I am in shock, but the fairies didn't get in the way, they are having fun, watching the two glorious princes striking strongly with one another. They are both strong and fast, I looked at King Cassian, he only shakes his head with a smirked on his face, then the moment our eyes meet, he smiled at me genuinely.

I don't know what I have done this time, the actions of Prince Flynn make me more disoriented. What is wrong with him? I couldn't believe they really need to fight with each other, using their bare hands over a simple kiss. I should have stopped Prince Gregory from kissing me, I should not lead him on. I felt so guilty, Prince Gregory is a good man and it seems I am playing with his feelings for me, by kissing him back, I run away from all of them. I feel so ashamed of what I have done. Prince Flynn flipped over my entire world.
