The Forbidden Forest

    The moment we started walking, going to the entrance of the cave we were attacked by giant black wolves, and the worst part they are not ordinary wolves, but flying wolves. I asked the Seer to stay close to me, while we fight them. I am glad that Declan is in a good mood to fight.

     I looked to their leader, I have to tame their Alpha so that the rest of his pack will obey my command. They are fast and strong, I can see that they can keep away from our strikes speedily. I have been bitten several times already, their teeth are very sharp and the bites stung like hell. I did my best to shield Analiza.

    Serpentina was right, this place is surrounded by the dark lord's followers. At least I was able to knock down a handful of wolves same with Prince Declan I can see that he is fighting squarely. Their number is increasing I can see there are more approaching from the entryway. Using my two hands, I released electricity and the lights coming from my hands are flowing constantly.

I coiled them with my powerful lights, I can feel that my wings are glowing with too much energy. Then I saw Declan fall to the ground, but he was able to recover quickly, then three wolves attacked him simultaneously from a different angle, I was so afraid that Declan might die from their charged, I was not able to control myself out of panic.

"Stop! All of you stop!" I shouted at the beasts hoping that they will listen to me, then I was shocked that all of them are suspended from where they are looking at me, only their Alpha moves towards my direction I did not waste my time, I meet him halfway, then I soared above him and ride at his back, the moment my body touched his back he turned wild and howled loudly that almost made me lost my balance.

I automatically touch his head and talked to him in a comforting voice.

"Take it easy, we are your friends not your enemies, please listen and follow my command." I can see shades of green lights run from my hand to his head, then I felt his body relax, and he goes down to the ground slowly.

The members of his pack followed suit, they are all now on the ground, their wings are hidden. I am still riding on his back, then slowly I get down on my feet, afterwards they turned back to normal sized wolves, like what happened to my friends on the other side of the forest, they can transform from gigantic to usual size.  They are indeed magical creatures. I moved in front of the Alpha and meet his eyes, he is looking straight at me.

"Thank you so much! I hope you can let me and my friends get out of here." I asked him politely.

     "Nothing to worry Princess, I will lead the way, I am Wolzick, the Alpha of my pack, I am sorry I almost killed you." He said looking regretful.

    "It is okay Wolzick, I understand that you are under the influenced of the dark magic." I am not wondering why he knows me, as what Serpentina said all the magical creatures in the magical forest knew who I am by just looking at me.

    "It has been a long time ago, since we have been captured, thank you so much for setting us free Princess." He said bowing his head.

   "Go back to the other side of the forest Wolzick together with your pack, your friends and the goddess are all waiting for your return." I said to him without breaking eye contact from his beautiful gray eyes.

    "I plan to accompany you princess until you get out of here safely, and fight the dark soldiers alongside with you. I will help you navigate the jungle for this place is full of dark traps that might lead you to your deaths." He said looking at me with concern in his whole face.

"Thank you, Wolzick it is very nice of you, we don't know what lies within the forbidden side forest, your help means a lot to us." I said to him facing the entrance of the cave.

Wolzick goes ahead of us then the three of us followed him silently, while the rest of his members are walking after us.

"This is how we are going to do this Princess, the moment the dark soldiers are within sight, you need to hide, we will continue to pretend that we are still under the spell of the dark king, in that way we can help you." He said.

"Okay, Wolzick we are now under your command." I said to him looking around the cave, I thought a while ago that we are near at the entrance of the cave, but I was wrong, the cave is so deep. Torches are lit on the passageway. There is water dripping from the above surface of the cave, and I can see from a distance a pool with crystal water is formed at the center of the cave surrounded by different size of rocks.

"Please all of you, spread your wings and fly just above the ground and don't make any necessary movement, there is a sinister beast lurking deep inside that pool, waiting for its prey." Wolzick warned us all, and we followed his instructions and carefully we fly not so high from the flooring of the cave.

    I have never been inside a cave before, but I have read about it, I can see beautiful stalactites with pointed tips formed like chandeliers hanging at the ceiling of the cave, while on the ground stalagmites are mounted on the cave ground.

We crossed the pool silently, we have to fly higher, since the pathway ended in front of the pool, there is no other way, but to cross over using our wings, the water looked so deep, then before we can finally land on the other side, big crocodile lunged towards our direction, that made me and Analiza screamed loudly.

His body is so huge, I think the length of its body measures ten meters long, and weighs more than two thousand pounds. He looks so angry that when he jumped again, he was able to caught my left leg, the beast is dragging me underwater, I just feel a bit of pain, I realized he is only trying to capture me, not to hurt me.

    I can see the lights of Declan's power trying to penetrate below the water to save me, but the crocodile is so strong, I struggled to release my power, due to the fear that he will eat me, and the fright of being drowned left me disoriented. I lost the ability to think positively because I have drunk a lot of fresh water already.

    "Breathe Princess, you have the ability to breathe underwater." I heard the powerful voice of my captor. I followed his advised, and I was so shocked to find myself breathing naturally, then I find him looking at me with curiosity in his eyes.

   "Why did you help me?" I asked him through his mind.

   "Because I don't want to be killed by our Lord, the instruction is clear, capture the Princess alive, as much I want to eat you, I am not in the right position to do that, I value my life." He said sarcastically.

I can see that Declan, Analiza and the wolves are now surrounding the area trying to save me.

"Declan, Analiza, and Wolzick, don't worry, I am fine, I didn't know until now that I have the ability to breathe in the water, and the beast who captured me is not going to harm me, because he will turn me over to the dark forces, so just wait over there, while I will find a way to summon my power." I talked to them using my mind.

"Thank goodness! Malia, I thought you were dead by now, since the water looked so still and it turned very dark. I can't see your body anymore." Replied Declan sounding so relieved that I am alright.

"Please, Declan be careful all of you, I hope we can get away from here before the followers of the dark king or the Dark Prince himself arrive, I have been trying to use my power, but it seems that the dark energy inside the water subdued it, I can still see you down here, but the dark energy is increasing. I felt so tired and weak." I said to him weakly, then I lost my ability to talk to him anymore.

"Princess Malia, please don't try to escape, you will sleep soon, my bite is not deep, but it is poisonous, you don't feel anything, but I bite you. For now just relax until the dark prince arrives." He said triumphantly, while my body started to feel numb, and I can't open my eyes anymore.

    I wanted to use my taming power towards the crocodile, but I can't even move my hand or any part of my body, but before I close my eyes, I felt someone has arrived, his energy tried to counter the dark aura within the cave, I wanted to swim away hoping it was Flynn who finally came to rescue me, then I can't fight anymore, I succumb to a very deep sleep.
