Goblin's Cave

The goblins shuddered with fear when they saw Noah's smile. They stepped back and tried to escape. But...

"So, we are playing tag."

Noah had a playful smile on his face. The scattered goblins didn't understand the grim of the problem. They thought they could escape.

But little did they know, Noah had already cast telekinesis. The thin mana threads zoomed at the goblins. Their petty speed couldn't be compared with the speed of the thread.

Hence, they were all connected to the thread.

With a single movement of his hand, the goblins were all pulled back. They all fell near Noah's feet, with only despair in their eyes.

"So shall we have a talk?"

Goblins were quite amusing creatures. They may not be that smart, but they are cunning. They are not royal to anyone, and won't take a second before changing their side to a more powerful creature.

It looked like a laugh, but it was their desperate speech. They couldn't speak the human language after all.

Goblins had another feature, they could understand human language. Maybe due to them capturing humans frequently, but this is their innate racial characteristics.

The goblin nodded.

Only one goblin was speaking, others were kneeling.

"Good." Noah nodded. "Bring me to your cave."

"Ku?"

The goblin titled his head, with clear confusion. "Kheee Kaaa! Keku keeka!" The goblin moved his hands and speak desperately. Noah of course couldn't understand their language, but he understood his intention.

"You don't want to." Noah wasn't surprised. "Then..." With a click of his finger, a keeling goblin beside stood and grabbed his neck.

It was as if he was strangling himself. The goblin's eyes were leaking tears and not long after, the goblin fell down. Obviously dead after strangling himself.

"Kaa!!!"

The goblin screamed in a weird way. He was terrified, the fear toward Noah had increased by million times.

"Also, this is just a trailer. If you don't take me there, your allies here would experience more gruesome death."

The goblin was helpless, as he could only nod. With trembling legs, he moved ahead.

"Kee kuuka"

The goblin pointed his fingers in a certain direction. They had a keen sense of direction and also have the ability to smell their other kins.

So, hardly any goblin will be lost.

The horde of goblins walked ahead, while Noah followed them quietly. He wasn't a talkative person after all.

After walking for some time, the sandy road changed into a rocky road. The ground was made up of sturdy red rocks and one could feel the warmth on his feet.

The heat wasn't that much so Noah could easily endure it.

In this red rocky area, there were many caves. A vertical steep mountain was ahead, which a height was more than 1000 m.

The mountain was long both horizontally and vertically. In its base were many small to big holes which were caves.

It looked like the base of goblins.

The goblin took Noah to the biggest hole.

"Is this your chief cave?" Noah asked. "Ke" The goblin nodded.

As the goblin entered the cave, he was flung back instantly.

"You traitor!!!" A roar came from inside. A bulky goblin who wore simple armor on his body came outside. Besides the bulky goblin was an old goblin who was wearing an old white cloak. His green face had many wrinkles and his body was beings supported by a cane.

"Well, well... What have we here?" The old goblin spoke in a soft tone. His voice was weak and fragile.

The bulky goblin laid his eyes on Noah. "You sure have the courage to come here alone." The bulky goblin cracked his fingers and slowly walked toward Noah.

"Wait, Humong." The old man stopped the bulky goblin. "You shouldn't act hastily."

Hearing the old man's voice, the bulky goblin stopped. "Ok, elder." Humong back down.

"And when have I said, I won't attack you." Noah's voice stunned Humong. But before he could even act, tens of fireballs rained down on him. The explosion threw him 20m far and his green skin turned black.

But, he stood quickly and roared in anger. "YOU FREAKING HUMAN!" And rushed at Noah. But... A barrier was created in front of Humong and he hit the barrier. He fell back and three other barriers formed and surrounded him.

It made a wall and blocked him from doing anything.

"I said, don't act hastily." The old man's voice was loud this time. Not that loud.

The old man turned at Noah. "How may I address you, young man?"

"Noah."

"Then young man, it is." The old man sighed. "How have we offended you, young man?"

Noah blinked his eyes. He was quite amused by the old goblin's behavior. It wasn't that surprising for a goblin to talk. Not all goblins could talk, only those who are quite powerful and old could speak human language.

And from the looks of it, the old man was a mage. And quite an experience and a powerful one at that. Humong, the bulky goblin looked like he was strong in hand-to-hand combat.

Noah thought for a moment. "You have abducted my fellow humans."

"Oh, have we? It must be young goblins. They are young and want pleasures, you see."

"Then they must need some punishment too."

"Of course. Don't worry, we will punish them. They won't step into human territories again."

"Really, but I want to punish them myself."

"Young man, please forgive them. We will owe you a favor."

"Hmm, not bad."

Noah smiled. His smile gave the old goblin a chill and make him feel like, he had made a bad decision.
