42. Fainted.. in my arms.

"Mo Ling! Are you fine? Where are you?" Bi Yuhan repeated his question when he didn't hear the boy's reply after the call got connected.

Mo Ling came out of her trance after hearing the slightly raised voice from her phone.

"I'm fine. I'm outside and I'll be home in an hour." She conveniently ignored the worry in his voice because she felt very uncomfortable inside when she heard that.

"Tell me your location. I'll pick you up." He relaxed after hearing the kid's cold voice.

"No need. It's a waste of time since I'm already on my way." She doesn't know why, she didn't want to see him right now.

She felt like if she got any closer to this man, then she'll never come out of it.

"I'll meet you halfway. Just send me your live location." Bi Yuhan insisted firmly for the first time. He wanted to see the boy with his own eyes to feel completely assured.

"Then, I'll be at cherry tower cross road in half an hour. You can come there." When she heard the insistence in his voice, she knew that she couldn't avoid it this time around.

"Alright. Wait for me." After saying that he hung up the call and got into his car immediately.

Since it's past 11.30 PM, there's mild traffic on the road. Even though he accelerated at times, he reached the location in 35 minutes.

He searched for the sight of Mo Ling and found him sitting in the bus stop just opposite the road.

The kid was resting his eyes with crossed arms and legs. He's just wearing a black hoodie in this cold weather.

Bi Yuhan locked his eyebrows when he saw the boy's clothes. He increased the temperature in the car and took an U-turn to the bus stop. 

'honk..' 

Mo Ling took a cab after jogging for five minutes to a taxi stand and reached the cross roads in just 20 minutes since there's no traffic from the outskirts.

She felt drowsiness hitting her. So she took a seat at the bus stop to wait for Bi Yuhan.

'honk..'

After resting for ten minutes, she heard the car horn and opened her eyes.

Bi Yuhan lowered the car window and looked at her frowning.

"Get in." His voice sounded even deeper in the night.

Mo Ling didn't move and just stared at his face fixedly. There's some slight confusion in her eyes and she couldn't beat the drowsiness anymore.

When Bi Yuhan saw no movement from the boy, his worry came back and he alighted the car to see whether the kid was injured.

But when he came closer, he saw the kid's red eyes and the haze in them like he's confused.

Mo Ling was instinctively on guard when she sensed the strong presence approaching her. But when she smelled the familiar scent, she relaxed and got up only to stagger on her feet.

When he saw the kid staggering after getting up, he reached out to grab him. He wrapped his hands around the kid's waist and stabilized his feet.

He caught the sharp odor like alcohol from the boy. So he came closer to the kid's lips to sniff a little. But all he smelled is a slightly sour and sweet smell from the boy.

When Mo Ling was sure to hit the ground when she staggered, she felt a pair of strong arms wrapping around her waist.

She immediately lifted her head, only to see an enlarged face just a few centimeters away from her.

She smiled when she smelled the familiar fragrance like spring breeze and instantly blacked out.

When Bi Yuhan saw the boy lifting his head, he knew that he's way too close to the kid. But after he saw the smile on the kid's face, he just didn't want to let go.

His heart beated wildly at that moment. Heat rose in his body at an unusual speed. He wanted to close the distance and capture those smiling lips and taste them to see whether they'll taste how he imagined. Sour and sweet at the same time.

Then he saw the boy blacking out and immediately came out of his thoughts. 

'He fainted.. in my arms.'
