Chapter Four

Mr Howel waited excitedly. He was told he wasn't going to be getting a promotion but something greater was about to happen.

Just as he was listing things in his mind Lee and Mr Walsh lawyer walked in. Mr Born looked at the men confused but stood up to greet them.

"I am Mr Adam Born and you must be Mr Walsh's grandson correct? " He shakes Lee's hand

Lee chuckles and shakes his head. "No I am Mr Walsh's body guard."

'A body guard? But this man is so young! Mr Walsh must have felt pity for him to make him his body guard!'

"Oh my mistake." Adam smiles then looks at the lawyer. "And you are?"

"My name is Jared White. I am Mr Walsh lawyer"

Mr Jacob, Adams lawyer, quickly stood up and shook Jared's hand. How did he not recognise this man before? He felt like a buffoon!

"Mr White, it's a pleasure to meet you. I am Ethan Jacob of the Jacob family. It's a honour to meet you today."

The White family were known to be one of the best family of lawyers in New Elcom City. It was said they could make any guilty criminal look innocent!

Jared looked at Ethan with a smile. Just to seem polite when in fact he was disgusted that such a low profile lawyer was daring to touch him.

"Mr Walsh will be a short while. He is attending to some other business at the moment."

Jared sat down after putting his briefcase on the table.

'Some other business? Can an old man really be that busy?'

"Of course. We shall wait for him. Can I offer you gentlemen any thing to drink? A coffee, tea? Water maybe?"

Adam wanted to quickly get on their good side to make this meeting go smoothly and to higher the chance of him getting what he wanted out of it.

When Mr Walsh entered the room everyone stood. Though Mr Howel was slightly confused he copied the others, so he didn't mess up. Before Mr Walsh greeted anyone he spoke to Mr Helgar and shortly after he left.

"Mr Born, let's keep this short shall we?"

With out missing a beat Mr Walsh sat down, causing everyone else to sit, and got straight to business.

"I would like to buy your business. You said the price was not decided yet, is that sill the case?"

"Yes. You see I can't just let you have my business without considering-"

Mr Walsh raised his hand silencing Adam.

"I'm tired of these circles Mr Born. So I'm going to make this offer only once. I will buy your company from you today."

Adam sat in silence waiting for the amazing amount of money to be presented.

"I will offer you One hundred thousand dollars for your business. That is its worth to me as of this moment"

Jimmy stood up slamming his hands on the table.

"One hundred!? Uncle this man is trying to make a fool out of you! This company is worth at least double that!"

Mr white sat quietly. Actually the business at its state would only be worth ten thousand dollars. He had no idea why Mr Walsh was offering that much but he knew that if Jimmy did not shut up he would ruin it.

Jared looked at Jimmy then at Adam.

"Mr Born if I were you I would tell your embarrassment of a nephew to sit down. Or maybe pick up a book now and again. "

Jimmy flushed with anger. He was about to curse Jared out when his uncle yelled at him.

"Jimmy! Sit down! How dare you embarrass me in front of Mr Walsh! If you wish to continue acting like a child then I shall discipline you like one! "

Jimmy shocked sat back down and sat in silence.
