Lucian Can't Handle Tears

However, Fenwick did not envy Lily's talent. In fact, he was glad she was talented so that one day she would have the strength to protect herself. But that did not mean he did not want to protect her, Garrett, and Clara from harm.

"You don't have to apologize on his behalf," Lucian said to Lily with a shake of his head.

A moment later, Lucian looked at Fenwick and indifferently said, "Hey, old man. I don't know who you are, nor do I care. But if you yell at me again, don't blame me for throwing you out of my restaurant." 

Fenwick was speechless. He could not believe a mere Mana Condensation Realm brat threatened him.

However, when he remembered those piercing eyes, he shivered.

'...There's no way he's just a Mana Condensation Mage. He must be a Magical Beast in humanoid form.' 

As soon as he thought that, he silently gulped, and his fear of the young-looking man increased.

What was a Magical beast in humanoid form?

Once a Magical Beast reached Grade Seven, Mana Soul Realm, they could transform their form from a Magical Beast to a form resembling a human.

And only when they activated a Skill would their true form show.

However, a Magical Beast that could change his form should not be here, but instead be at Drakonia Continent.

Fenwick frowned.

'Is he not worried the Dragon Slayers will find out about his identity or is he strong enough to protect himself?'

Fenwick wondered if he should leak his identity to the Dragon Slayers. The rewards he would get for doing so might help him break through.

A few moments later, without so much as another glance at him, Lucian looked at Lily and asked, "Did you come here to eat?"

Lily cheerfully nodded and said, "Yes, Big Brother Lucian. Lily came to eat. Lily came yesterday too, but Big Brother was not here."

She then glanced at Fenwick and curiously wondered out loud, "But I didn't expect Uncle Fen to follow me. Could it be Uncle also wants to try Big Brother Lucian's delicious food?"

Fenwick blushed before his expression instantly changed to confusion.

"Lily, what do you mean by delicious food?" Fenwick asked. He was dumbfounded. Did Lily come here to this unknown, powerful Magical Beast's house just to eat?

'Wait… house…' As though he was struck by lightning, Fenwick froze.

"But if you yell at me again, don't blame me for throwing you out of my restaurant."

'...'

'...Restaurant.' He said to himself.

As Fenwick remembered Lucian's words he felt heat creep up his cheeks.

Then, for the first time, he took a look at the so-called restaurant and became stunned by its beauty.

'Beautiful.' That was the only word that could describe what he was seeing.

Everything down to the last detail was beautiful.

Meanwhile, when Lily heard Fenwick's words, she blinked and adorably tilted her head. She was confused.

A moment later, she curiously asked, "Uncle Fen, did you not follow me to try Big Brother Lucian's food, but then you thought the food was poisoned?"

"..." When Lily's words entered Fenwick's ears, he broke out of his daze.

Lucian and Fenwick were both speechless by her naivety and innocence. They looked into each other's eyes, and as if they had come to a sudden conclusion, they nodded.

Seeing Lucian and Fenwick nod, Lily curiously asked, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing," Fenwick said.

"It's nothing. So will you be having Siren's Melody Poached Egg?" Lucian asked Lily. 

As for the old man, he did not bother asking him, he knew the only reason the old man was here was because he thought a playboy was tricking Lily.

And, of course, Lucian was no playboy.

Lily stared at Lucian and Fenwick and pouted. She felt they were hiding something, but could not be bothered to ask. 

Rubbing her hungry stomach, Lily pouted at Lucian, "Big Brother Lucian, you promised Lily a new dish~"

"…Could it be Big Brother Lucian lied to Lily~!?" A second after speaking, Lily's pink eyes moistened with tears threatening to escape.

Seeing actual tears on her beautiful doll-loke face, Lucian's indifferent face changed to panic. 

Yes, he was truly panicked after seeing her on the verge of tears.

'Fuck, I, Lucian curse you to be locked in the eighty-first layer of Hell, you damn perverted Chef Lucian.' 

Lucian began wondering if the System had made a mistake when fusing the three Lucians' Souls together because it did not feel like an even split between them.

[System, do you know how to do math?] He asked the System just to be safe.

The System was speechless, but still replied, [Yes, Host. And your worry is unfounded. Math has nothing to do with the fusion of the three Lucians' Souls. All three Souls were perfectly and evenly combined to make your Soul.]

Lucian was skeptical, but he had more important things to worry about… Lily's tears. Although only her eyes were wet and her beautiful face had yet to become wet, it was more than enough to make him panic.

As for Fenwick, he was stunned when he saw Lucian's panicked face. But even more so, he was shocked by Lily's expressions and attitude. It reminded him of how she used to behave five years before the tragedy.

"Lily, when did I say I broke the promise?" Lucian said after pondering.

Hearing Lucian's words, Lily's tears instantly vanished as if they never existed. With a sweet smile, she said, "Then, Lily will have one plate of Big Brother's new creation, please, and thank you~! Hehe~!"

Lucian bitterly sighed when he saw her tears vanish. 

'Damn, perverted Chef! Count yourself lucky that I can't beat you up.'

Lucian knew he had been hoodwinked but decided to let it slide.
